Sorry for the late reply ive been working away. Theres some very good ideas and help here, i will have a go and keep you all updated. Issue i also have is when the tanker says hes at X speed and X height, how do you what height to be at when below the tanker? Do the LEDs under rhw tanker indicate this or are they just forward and back and left and right?

Varjo aero, GPU 4090, Intel, Win 11- This is a recent problem-I think before the most recent update it wasn't happening but can't be sure. So generally I can boot up computer, and start DCS-then from the Startup menu I can Launch DCS-in VR mode. But after (generally) playing and exiting (sometimes it works twice) when I start up DCS again it will only launch into pancake (non-VR) mode. I have reinstalled the Varjo base, and repaired DCS files, updated nvida drivers, disabled other programs etc. Can anyone think what could be happening? What could change between first launch (which works) and the subsequent launches (that don't)? ANY ideas are appreciated.

Looking forward to the release date. I just purchased it. I know it will be a great airplane.

Its been over a year, what on earth are you thinking, most people would probably want and/or expect a high quality product finished in a year, i bet...

I'm thinking that currently (at least as far as announcements go) there's nothing new on the table. It seems no one is working on a new map for DCS. Iraq and Marianas WWII was the last one (of course, updates also apply to Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan), but there's no word on a new map. Any leaks? I don't mind if something were to finally happen with Vietnam or Korea, like here: https://dcs-web-editor.github.io/dcs-web-viewer-deploy/

I should of been more direct in my previous comment: Just toss the manual file inside 'docs' folder into your phone or any other handheld device >before flight< instead of relying on google (highly degraded search engine), AI (bloat of regurgitated nonsense) or a website. Lack of manual in hand midflight are a user side problem. The files are always up to date in 'dcs' root folder.

A4 isn't a 3rd party though, it's a free mod.

thanks guys : please don't waste any more of your time on Me with this issue , I have read it all and tried to comprehend it all to no avail , beyond my capability's , tried what i thought was suppose to do = No Joy and then DCS no start =something about bad image ?? so I reversed engineered it back to before i messed it up , ran it / cleaned it up also DSC repair just incase , all works well again butter smooth ,, i Give Up , will just remap bindings for P47 / F4U and F6F when released and forget the rest , DCS just seems to be too much work =Its always something ?? I'm not super computer illiterate , I have gotten myself out of trouble a few times even a few blue screens of death , and fumbled thru a few issues with the help of some from here. But I just don't feel like beating my head against the wall anymore ! --- I have learned one other thing == Now I know why I Drink and swear so much !! before i bought into DCS I was a Priest at Father Bobs Orphanage , no drinking or foul language / sang in the church quire with the Nuns / cookie sales with the girl scouts / rescued cats from trees == now look at me ?? but i still do rescue the Animals in need .... The release interval is limited to 250ms (appears as 0.25). Any input lower than this value in the mission editor will result in the value being automatically reset to 250ms. A good video exists online showing a Hornet releasing flares in a program with a faster interval than what is currently possible in DCS. Attached are the track replay and ME files.
