  1. Past hour
  2. If we can't get the Grippen then can we alt least get some of the older planes?
  3. Thanks both. Yes, if you had destroyed the entire column of vehicles, you'd have gotten another 5 points. But that is really hard. In any future campaigns, I'll make sure to set up the debriefings so that you can see what you didn't get points for. Technically, it won't matter whether you return home at 26 or 28 as long as you remain within the upper and lower limits of the direction you're traveling. I've now fixed this discrepancy so that it can be pushed out with the next update. Thanks for letting me know.
  4. Those are probably gone already as he says the fresh installation is already done. Do you have a backup of "My Documents".
  5. I was wrong about the DIRCM not working at all. It does indeed not work at all on IRIS-T and AA missiles for no reason, but maybe this will hopefully be corrected in the future, cause all IR missiles are badly affected by a heating laser on their seeker. The DIRCM's field of work has been drastically reduced though (after some X update) from some 90 degrees (45 left/right/up/down) to just some 20 degrees (10 left/right/up/down) from the back of the plane and that's why I initially had the impression that it's not working anymore. It does, but it's almost useless as it only works on SAM IR missiles (except the faulty IRIS-T and AA missiles) if the incoming missile is within some maximum 10 degrees offset of the Su-25Ts centerline when closing in from behind. Here are the tracks: Thank you! AA missiles are unaffected by DIRCM.trk DIRCM limited to only 20deg from around 100deg.trk IRIS-T also unaffected by DIRCM.trk
  6. I understand that they are very busy with many other things, I imagined that too and now I get it that they don't have time to prove me wrong and make a track proving the opposite of what I say. So I did this track now. Indeed, I haven't tested enough two things: 1. The preventive flares drop before an IR sam is launched indeed works. I've made topic about it and I'll quickly post this same track there to prove I was wrong about that as I've only got that feeling while playing missions and never took time to do a thorough test like I did now! 2. The DIRCM indeed works giving some 90% chance of avoiding an SAM IR missile coming from the back, but NOW (after some update) the DIRCM's effective cone is reduced from some wider angle (maybe it was 90 degrees in the past) to just around 20 degrees (10 degrees left, 10 degrees right and up/down). This was the reason why I had the impression that it's not working anymore, simply because I didn't find out during casual play that the missile must fly almost straight from the back in order to be somewhat affected by the DIRCM. Besides the fact that the DIRCM doesn't rapidly heat up the missile's seeker (I'm aware that this isn't simulated at all, like a function of lock loss over time), the effective cone on the DIRCM seems absurdly low in degrees of field. like I said, some maximum 10 degrees offset from the aircraft's centerline. On the other hand, speaking of DIRCM, the IRIS-T at the moment is not affected at all by the DIRCM's laser, no matter the angle and alignment with the Su-25T when chasing it from the back. Also the AA missiles behave the same like IRIS-T and never get blinded/heated and never loose lock on the target. Tracks provided for this as well. Thanks! AA missiles are unaffected by DIRCM.trk DIRCM limited to only 20deg from around 100deg.trk IRIS-T also unaffected by DIRCM.trk
  7. Today
  8. Well, I hope they make the laser rangefinder work soon, because that sucks.
  9. I absolutely need a multicrew B-17G. This is the one I am waiting for...
  10. yes, but make sure to do a backup of the /saved games/ folder, to keep your missions, logbook, keybinds, etc (the keybinds will need a file rename, as they depend on the USB ID of windows, which will change with a new windows)
  11. I didn't observe any issues with the A-10C TGP in BHOT or WHOT or with the AGM-65D or AGM-65G or their respective TGMs lately. If anyone of you who experiences this issue could record a short track and share that with us, and provide a screenshot or two, that would be quite helpful.
  12. No, can't say I ever have. I understand you're trying to give a comprehensive error description, but there are like a million questions. Like, what do you mean by "locking on to a SPI"? Did you mean you hooked the SPI in the TAD? Did you also make that sensor SPI Generator? What's the HUD's "little freak in out", how did that manifest? What do you mean by "HUD no response"? If you can create a short track of this issue, this would go a long way. You said "No switches changed", but besides what ASAP already suggested, did you double-check and can you confirm that the HUD mode switch on the AHCP was in the NORM position?
  13. Thanks. Better than nothing I guess.
  14. You were in the weapon tab of the DTC? Next to CMDS? It’s atleast whatWags says that weapon section is for, sorry I wasn’t super clear it was in the weapon section EDIT: Watching it again, I guess you are supposed to enter the waypoint whose altitude you plan to use….. as we’ve said, it seems to be temporary until it properly uses laser
  15. No need to reinstall DCS.
  16. I have done a Fresh install to Windows 11. My DCS is on a different drive. Should I reinstall DCS going from Windows 10 to 11. I know the DSC application in the bin folder can be used for a short cut. I want to make sure there will be no issues.
  17. Latest log contains the following during startup. You had a similar one around vc_options.lua in the first log. I'm looking through the others. 2025-10-18 17:48:00.843 ERROR EDCORE (Main): [C:\Users\YOOB\Saved Games\DCS\Config/Input/disabled.lua] CreateFile(REWRITE): The system cannot find the path specified. 2025-10-18 17:48:00.843 ERROR EDCORE (Main): Can't open file 'C:\Users\YOOB\Saved Games\DCS\Config/Input/disabled.lua' from real path fs. 2025-10-18 17:48:00.843 ERROR LuaGUI (Main): Cannot save disabled devices into file[C:\Users\YOOB\Saved Games\DCS\Config/Input/disabled.lua]! You don't run DCS, and have never run DCS, as an administrator right? Never even ticked the box "Run as administrator" under the Compatibility tab of your properties on the shortcut or exe file in the bin folder?
  18. Request: Could you please add cumulonimbus clouds? I think they'd make for a great-looking cloud shape in screenshots.
  19. Don't even need a video. There's practically text you can paste and copy from threads in this forum. But please ED, add ALL the possible graphics adjustments to the settings. Either as drop down choices or sliders.
  20. You are are clearly a really smart person, but that didn't help.
  21. Go into DTC and set altitude of target for every waypoint
  22. Absolutely agree with this post. ED should start taking these community requests to heart sooner than later. Especially when the option is only affecting the visuals of the player changing the settings and not others. Adding a higher quality shadow map doe snot give player an edge over others, so why is this even locked down??? If they do not want to remove the file from integrity checks, maybe at least add ultra shadow settings to the file at their end. Tally Mouse has a fantastic video that explains how to edit this file and achieve better visuals in DCS, if your graphics card allows for it. The changes he proposes is due to DCS not including Ultra shadow settings in their launcher or options currently.
  23. High winds being 8kts in my case ! From 8kts it becomes impossible to take the aircraft away from the wind...
  24. All the people who have been alienated from MP in some way, should form a squadron of misfits, or black sheep, if you will. I can be Pappy, having multiplayer experience as a JF-17 pilot a few years ago.
  25. I don't fully understand scoring in multplayer. As it is, I get every single loss credited, but about 1/3rd of my kills, and every "ambiguous" kill goes against me. I mean 100%. For instance (and these are WW2 Normandy 2.0 examples) , an opponent is flying straight at me and we're both shooting at each other ... before colliding head on and exploding. I get a death, my opponent gets a kill and a death. Or I get strafed on the tarmac while waiting to take off ... I get a loss, opponent gets a kill. Okay, makes sense. I return the favor and strafe the opponent on the tarmac, leaving him a smoking pile of rubble ... I get no kill. I shoot down a bomber, but another another bomber shoots me to pieces and I bail. 1 loss, no wins. Even in straight-out, I shoot the opposing plane, it goes down in flames, I see it crash ... sometimes I get the kill, often I don't. I don't get it ... It's like the phase of the moon has to be just right or something. The scoreboard never misses a loss, though. Oh no. No, no. If I sneeze during a maneuver I get a freaking loss. Suddenly the scoreboard knows how to react with immediate pinpoint accuracy. It's a miracle! I fly the Bf-109, it almost feels like an Allied vs Reich thing. I mean, during the war there were over 100 German pilots with over 100 kills, but the best Allied pilot had 40, and the #4 guy was already down in the 20s. Maybe this is DCS's way of giving them a fighting chance. The Allies just have to look at us cross-eyed and they get a kill but apparently we have to follow them down, go to their crash site, pull out a stethoscope, and verify expiration for us to get one. At first I thought I was just being paranoid, or being a whiner (which I'm sure can happen from time to time), but this week I paid close attention and it's overt and obvious. Does anyone know what the general rule is for kills in MP? For instance, in a head-on mutual-obliteration crash, who is supposed to get kill-credited?

  26. I've got this same problem. I've tried adjusting it to where the tension was just enough to keep the weight of the throttle handles from moving the throttles. Still gets stuck. After staying in the same position for about ten to fifteen seconds the resistance is light enough to push through without a lurch. But, after about thirty seconds it creates enough resistance that it lurches after finally releasing. After about a minute or two it almost won't move without a significant amount of pressure. Which, for older aircraft, like the Mustang, having the RPMs suddenly jump makes the aircraft unstable at takeoff. Once it breaks loose it's really smooth. There is a flaw in the design. I haven't had this problem since the Saitek sticks wearing out on the shaft and creating stiction. I wonder if creating a custom larger base and just using a lower/downward extension and counter weight with bearings for the pivot point will solve it. Might be a fun project. The other thing I noticed that I'm not crazy about is the sliders having so little resistance.
  27. You "believe" that the IR missiles should be more resistant to flares because they are newer gen missiles. Ok..., then what about the AIM-9X fired from an F-18 at some Su-22 in Syria and which was rapidly trashed by the Su-22 dropping flares (maybe preventive) and so the F-18 pilot got a little mad to see his wonderful AIM-9X go for flares and so he fired an AIM-120 to make sure he hits that Su-22? Was that AIM-9X from the 70s? What we think is sometimes and maybe most of the time very different from reality!
