  2. I didn't mean to set up an elaborate alternative, but simply add the fuel trucks at Tonopah, and maybe add some static aircraft and people to present some active airport ambiance for anyone who would stop for gas. As for what the wingman would do, I just gave him the command to RTB and he did. I really didn't mean for you to go to any more trouble than just placing fuel there. I would do it with the mission editor myself if I had access to the mission. I don't doubt that a skilled player can manage fuel within Campaign specs, but alas, I'm not a skilled player and tend to gobble gas in the heat of combat, especially making multiple runs on targets. Of course, that isn't the plan, but I often get disoriented and spend more time in the area than was planned, or get distracted with a target of opportunity etc. But, as I said, I'm just a casual gamer who was just looking to get some more gas and then fly home. Not a big deal. In mission five, even though I was still in the target area at Miller Time, I still beat the whole strike package back to Nellis by going direct and it didn't matter what my flight lead did or my wingman because I was on deck and getting a Mission Complete and a Score Card as Demon flight was calling initial. It all worked fine.
  3. Ive...had days like this..
  4. Okay, I am a little confused about this "changing slots...". What exactly do you mean by that?
  5. what about interdiction? interception? escort? Im not dogfighting a Tu95 Bear or a Su-7 fitter which between the both of them have a combined whopping 30 polygons. umm...going out on a limb, but classified information we're not privy to in these jets. Mostly ITARS related stuff, but model the aircraft more realistically. Again I dunno, thats not here or there but its for military contracts.
  6. Thank you for the reply I will purchase as soon as it’s updated very excited for it.
  7. Today
  8. @AnarchyZG, @PawelKPL, can you please attach your DCS log files, and dcs.log.<timestamp>.zip (contains crashes), files. Would be valuable to see if you're experiencing the same issues as reported by other users, or something else unrelated.
  9. I don't think PTID changes the trapping technique. Two spoiler versus four spoiler DLC would be more relevant, but the theory behind it is the same, all indications assume you have the jet set up in full landing configuration, and if you don't, they will be off. So even if you never touch the DLC wheel, you want to have it extended. Either A or B NATOPS can explain that in detail.
  10. Not sure if something has changed with the DCS log analyzer but the log states that core parking is enabled but this wasn't flagged by the analyzer. Process Lasso was not mentioned in the logs so at this stage I'm assuming that this is the default that Windows 11 is setting now. 2025-04-27 09:05:55.394 WARNING EDCORE (Main): CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be source of stuttering and reduced performance especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E-cores) You're already on Windows 11 so can you use something like ParkControl (https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/) to disable core parking. This has resolved this issue for a number of users experiencing these issues on the latest patches. In addition to this I see that TrackIR is being reported: INPUT (Main): created [TrackIR] Can you confirm whether or not you do have TrackIR, or any other head tracking, in use. Can you also confirm that DCS is not being run as administrator, right-click on your DCS shortcut that you use, choose properties, and verify that "Run as administrator" is not checked under the Compatibility tab of that menu. EDIT: looks like the log analyzer is flagging core parking again now, I ran your log back through it to confirm, so ignore the first part of my comment re: it not showing up in the log analyzer.
  11. Yeah...that is also what I was saying as well, we do still have those old models of Mig 23, 27, Su-7/22, Su-30 etc AI models, which are not updated and for some reason, we are getting updated models that are more ground assets which we barely see. These planes, it is so glaring with some of those models looks like it is from as you say Flanker 2.0 days plus Lock on. Kills the immersion. Maybe we will see them updated possibly in the next 5 plus years, hopefully... This RAZBAM dilemma is a huge letdown, on a life support with us left to simmer and waiting for the news at some point in the future, looks like it is going to be a loooong wait. Beating a dead horse at this point...
  12. Caution, the B NATOPS out there is for a PTID B. You also want an A NATOPS to cover both A and our mostly A with good engines Fishbowl TID B.
  13. I had done at 6 knots, as I understood that 5 knots was the point at which it would react.
  14. Unfortunately, no not yet. I've been told it will be in the next stable release which should (hopefully) be the 2nd week of May. We appreciate your patience.
  15. There’s a very limited manual reversion. Basically it traps fluid in the actuator when it looses all pressure and your stick movement “pumps” the actuator with the fluid in there. Sluggish and you need the electric Hydraulic pump to land so save that! On the gear handle you place it down, twist 90 and pull and the up locks release and a nitrogen charge in the gear isolated hydraulic lines gives the gear actuators a bit of a kick. They will fall and lock by gravity. Basically all the important systems have “leak stop” valves like backward pressure relief valves. So if your lines or tank get popped, the critical reversion hydraulics won’t drain out. if they get popped, yea they're empty. Eject. If just your engines go dead, you just use the emergency electric hydraulic pump. There’s a whole Emergency checklist to have you determine when you should or shouldn’t give up on the airframe. Middle of a fight, bail, because more kaboom is coming and you won’t outfly it.

  19. Ok think like this. A radar is a flashlight with a tight beam. It swings around side to side at different elevations. Say you’re in a dark gymnasium with a very coherent beam flashlight so not a lot of light scatter, there’s two orange barrels out there somewhere in front of you. If the barrels are in a straight line, to you one behind the other, and you swing your light by and find the barrel, how many do you see? One. The other barrel is right behind it in its shadow. Now you may say “but I can see the edge of that other barrel.” And maybe it’s not perfectly behind. Now to replicate a millimeter wave “light beam” not a nanometer wave light beam, put on the oldest foggiest pair of safety glasses you can find. The ones that were under a pile of work jackets in the back of a truck for a month. With all the grease and oil smears on it. That’s how a radar sees. And It doesn’t have an aperture like your eye, it just has a reception plane. That’s the safety glasses. All you see in the dark is a bright orange blob roughly barrel shaped. That’s your radar picture. Also, a Carrier group burns over $6.5 MILLION dollars a DAY. A Day. They are VERY expensive.
  20. The issue with AI wingman stuck in a loop repeating rejoin was fixed but they still don't actually rejoin! Less annoying but still annoying!
  21. The Crystal Super is shipping, and we're happy to see the headset finally in the hands of so many users. That said, we have also fast accumulated a lot of feedback on the headset now. With this blog post, we would like to inform you that we are aware of these bugs, and that we're working flat out to fix them as soon as possible. Please note that some of these are general, while others occur for some users in some games with some PC configurations. Pimax Crystal Super 50 PPD - Known Bugs (29 April): Auto-IPD isn't always accurate (In progress) For some users, in some games, colors are overblown (In progress) The audio is not as loud as with OG Crystal, rendering in 16-Bit rather than 24-Bit (In progress) Controller tracking has some drift (In progress) Inside-out tracking performance on some PC configs (In progress) Front V can't change colour (In progress) Microphone quality (In progress) Color fringing on in-game menus (In progress) Cooling vents are either silent or loud (In progress) We have also encountered more bugs but these are mentioned only once or twice, and we think it's due to user's PC configuration. These bugs are not listed here, as we're still learning more and solving them with these users. Meanwhile, Nvidia and AMD are updating their GPU drivers for the 50 series and 9700 respectively. (E.g., Nvidia released a hotfix less than 24 hours ago.) Some frequently asked topics are the following (these are not bugs): Some users with an Ultraleap Hand Tracking module have reported compatibility issues with the bottom USB-C slot. This can occur if you have a very old Ultraleap Hand Tracking module. Please contact our support to have this fixed. Local dimming is non-adjustable in Pimax Play. This is because the with the Crystal Super, unlike the Crystal Light and OG Crystal, local dimming is a hardware solution. This has the benefit of having more individual zones, and these zones can be controlled individually on the hardware level, which increases speed and precision. The first reviewers have also highlighted the improved local dimming performance. One of the downsides however is that the amount of local dimming cannot be adjusted in Pimax Play. For more upcoming Pimax Play features, refer to our latest Q&A video:
  22. I just watched Spudknockers video on the origins of this situation. If it is accurate....wow. How insanely stupid. Throw away 4 major money making modules to go behind ED's back to develop a sim for the Ecuadorian Air Force which has 72 total aircraft??? How good of a financial decision can that be? Thats like Lilly Miller shutting down their pharmacutical factorys to sell dime bags on a street corner!! I mean geez....that can't be right! Nobody is that dumb!! I was just starting to re-learn the F-15E hoping this might get resolved....but now....waste of time. Back to the old A-10C I go.
