Да обещали же в сентябре выход в РД. Планировали на Июль, по-моему. С учетом августовской обновы от 13 числа, что-то в районе месяца осталось. ИМХО!!!

Potential mistake in MiG-29A FAQ about R-27ER and R-27ET
Кош replied to quantum97's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
R-27T was only a matter of procurement. APU470 is a cooled rail. Asked a MiG technician - yes it could use the T, no they didn't have them delivered. Model - baseline 9-12. Photos of APU470 preparation TBD. Regarding Su-27 not being able to launch it from AKU - it's not about loosing lock, it's about AKU doesn't incorporate cooling system in the first place. -
Right but they don’t look nearly good enough for what people expect here today. A civy sim global map is meant to be seen from high altitude. Combat games have action going on right at the ground. It’s going to just look really dull compared to the custom maps and to me those are preferable in a combat game. Battles take place in theaters. Not across the globe. DCS already has maps large enough for flights longer than most players are probably willing to do. The reason civy sims have global maps is variety, so you can fly to or from anywhere. But to me there isn’t a need to have battles in San Diego or Miami. The trade off in quality won’t be worth it for most people I imagine. My guess is players would rather see something like the Germany map up close vs being able to just fly for hours or stage action in odd places around the world. My vote is a global map is dead last compared to all the other things DCS could have. Maybe that’s the goal? Spherical maps but not global?

I am happy that you are still on your path, no matter how many rocks are in your way. I can send you an msffb2 stick, if you need one to implement ffb at a later stage. Just send me a msg, would be happy to contribute in some way.

The ergonomics and methodology on this is horrendous.

Good info, Bull! However, just wanted to note that you can't even get close to the published numbers with rich mixture because the fuel burn will be way off, if that's a concern to you. Have a look at this and you can see the effect of rich vs. auto-lean:

It's non functional. The only way to use MIDS is via SRS as a radio

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
OmasRachE replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
What pressure. After -Rudel- mentioned that they have a look, I did not put any pressure but his first reactions indicated, that they did not consider this a bug at all. So waiting for nothing to happen won´t solve my problem. And unfortunately I will have to have fun with other birds. Sad but hey, my hangar is quite big. -
I 100% get that it isn't realistic BUT it's already been done for a few other aircraft regardless of their realism. It's really only for convenience because I can never get it back to default trim after I've used it. I have about 11 aircraft but the one listed below are the only ones that have a trim reset. A-10C II - "Trim: Reset" AH-64D - "Trim - RESET to default" P-51 - "Trimmers Reset" TF-47 - "Trimmers Reset"

Great idea! However, I don't know how to look up those values with lua at the moment. If you can provide that info I can try to integrate it. Also, I'm a big fan and advocate for pilots conducting instrument scans properly, especially in this warbird. I think moving some of the data from the instrument panel to the upper corner will teach bad habits, and might be a "cheat" for the mission you want to make which includes scoring. You might end up climbing quickly, but what good is the pilot if they never had to look at the instruments and handle the aircraft properly the first time? Just my 2 cents. Cheers.

Lucky you - at least you're getting some communication. I placed my order in April, but changed it to Ultrawide, which means no way I'm getting it before the end of this year... *sigh* -

I do agree with you. What I wanted to say is: Try to have fun with bird and don`t stop putting some pressure on M3. We need bug fixesas soon as possible. I will post a video of how I manage to turn and getting to the runway by using my keyboard. -
Rudel_chw started following Engine Diagnostics Script

Thanks, really nice for using when exploring the aircraft limits. I'm currently on the first stages of editing a training mission for Engine management, using a Climb to 25,000 feet as a fixed situation to be able to monitor it using triggers. My purpose is to learn the proper use of all controls: Super Charger, cooling flaps, throttle, mixture, with the mission reminding me of operating the blower properly as we climb, learn to keep an eye on temps, etc. To give a worthwhile mission objective and add a sens of urgency, I intend to record the time it takes to get to 25,000, the less time the higher the score because of this, I wonder if you could add to the script some engine management parameters, like cyl temp, oil temp, etc ... it would help me a lot while I develop my mission, as reading the gauges while flying makes me kind of lose focus on my aircraft handling best regards, Eduardo

My understanding is the pylons were never removed from the -1D and -4 even when not in use. They were just fit with an aerodynamic cap over the rack mounts. With that being their "default" state I would think that's how Vought or the Navy would run their evaluations, especially if they were pulling aircraft at random.
-
I would go by the kneeboard chart for right now, because the POH will just break your engine.
-
Here you go guys. A quick SP air start with a script I made to view real time fuel burn, fuel efficiency, airspeed and more. Spoiler alert: It is actually pretty close to the published charts. Also FYI, the image below is just a cover image. Diagnostics in the mission are not as pretty. It's just the standard text overlay you are used to seeing. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3346516/

Long start times from desktop to main menu
BIGNEWY replied to Simicro's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Long load time issue has nothing to do with hyperthreading, for sure some CPU's work better without it, especially ones with E cores. But disabling hyperthreading on one system may not be correct for another. As mentioned we have a fix coming for the long load times. thank you -
I was simply trying to help you figure the steps out, not hand you the answer on a silver platter. If I ever spend the time to have one, I’ll be in touch.

Long start times from desktop to main menu
Akula replied to Simicro's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I don’t think so….. I currently have hyperthreading disabled again and DCS runs incredibly well. fast load times, preload radius loads very quickly vs seeing a slow transition of water to ground terrain then buildings and so on. To be fair I will add that I did change my memory clock from 5400 to 5600 using “memory try it” in my BIOS. I suck at manually tweaking my memory so I had to use MSI’s feature. That little adjustment sped up my load times, BUT - if I re-enable hyperthreading it basically kills any hope of flying without some sort of lock up. I really do think that there is an issue here and I hope ED really does take another look at hyperthread support because it is like night and day when it’s disabled vs enabled. In all my experiences hyperthread enabled ruins the game vs hyperthread disabled fixes every long load and stuttering issue. I will do a little research into tweaking my memory manually and see if it’s a memory issue conflicting with the CPU but it doubt it’s a factor since I never had to do anything like this after the update that was released almost a year ago that directly addressed full and hyperthread support. That update was amazing. Since then it has been touch and go with hyperthread support. one update fixes it and another ruins it and so on. Curious to know how others are doing with this.
