  3. According to JUTARNJI LIST, the Ministry of defense has formally invited the US, Russian, Swedish and French fighter aircraft manufacturers to bid for the projected purchase of 12 aircraft for the Croatian Air Force. Offers are expected by the end of March 2008. The Ministry is apparently opened to the alternative of procuring used aircraft, too. So, the choice is now among the F-16, JAS 39 Gripen, MiG 29 M2 and Mirage F1. Offers: Dassault - Mirage F-1 (second-hand) Dassault - Mirage 2000-5 EADS - Eurofighter Typhoon IAI - F-16 (second-hand) Russia - MiG-29M SAAB - JAS-39 Gripen Lockheed-Martin - F-16 In my opinion win Gripen :)

  4. Hey Guys, I had some free time on my hands and decided to create a little teaser movie of Sim-mod/Yeniceri’s New A-10 model. Hope you enjoy it! :D Here’s the download link http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&file=870&lang=en&PHPSESSID=3048d90f67bcec582e9e212f1cadc6bd And here is a mirror link (only last for 7 days so feel free to mirror it) http://download.yousendit.com/6F6162DF6FD8461E Ah very nice, thanks to Gunja, it is also available for streaming http://divxvine.com/wprhbj8zjt7a/SKF...romo.divx.html I have also uploaded it to youtube and patrick’s site for stream. But I prefer the hi-res version http://www.patricksaviation.com/videos/SuperKungFu/3193/

  6. If you are going to buy a weapon from Russia think twice:thumbup: April 1, 2008: Last year, India's 60 Su-30 fighters had to cut back on training flights because of a shortage of tires. Normally, the 60 fighters go through about a hundred tires a year. But due to delays in ordering replacement tires, and delays in the Russian supplier delivering, the number on hand fell to about ten. At that point, a nagging problem became a crises. The Russians blamed it on the Indian Air Force logistics people, who did not order enough new tires to replace those being worn out. The Indian purchasing officials blamed it on the Russians, who, according to the aircraft warranty agreement, are the only ones who can supply tires for the Su-30s. http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htlog/articles/20080401.aspx

  12. I think its a good idea to close this thread right now, where everybody gave his opinion about "cheaters". We`ve got the opinions from Hyperlobby "newbies" up to the Hyperlobby "Aces". Thanks for participation in this thread. All following discussion would end in namecalling / flames. Thread closed.

  14. Well I'm guessing that a single track might be enough to give us an idea of what is really going on. "Ideally" we wouldn't need all of that because it would be clear what is going on. If that can't be determined by the track, that would go a long way to changing the tone of this thread from "he likely isn't cheating, you don't know how to fly" to "Hmmm, this is weird, we need more info because this seems amiss." No?

  15. I've flown online since the LO disk droped, and there was a guy flying online acouple years ago who was doing the same things. But the community was able to "discourage" him for a time. Could you elaborate on the 3v1 so we could all get a better understanding of what happened ?

  16. Except those that you don't like. In case I missed it somewhere, please post the track and tacview.

  17. Well, first, I'm not new to the game, been flying with my mates on our server for over two years before I crashed on line. I'm new to online playing with the people I don't know?, Yes, secondly I'm not the only one who believes that there is something wrong about that guy. As there was mentioned before, no one can stop the guy, who knows in game used programming language to write a little script, or create a little mod just for him self. How can you tell that the guy, your opponent haven't got one? Is any program which runs checks on your game? NO? So that means anyone can alter the parameters with in the game and come on line do some magic without being detected... Now, all I asked is for you, who have "much more" experience with the on line flying to help me understand is it me and some other people or is it that guy. Cos I would understand my missiles missed once, OK twice, ah :censored: it three and more times, but 20+, OK, here is one of many situations, three (3) planes against him alone, all missiles launched by three planes hits the "milk", and he just noobs all three planes out of the sky... Just like that... What can I say people, OMG, wow he is natural. But, if he uses something, then you are here promoting cheating, as you failed to check what is what, just popped in (forgive my French) farted your brains out loud, and hided back in the smog... I'm here to look for help, not to read your insults, I'm here to understand of what is going on, if you can't help, then don't, and if you have the urge to type but have nothing of value to write, try winword.

  19. So, is that cos most of us plays on local servers with people we know and trust, or simply don't care, cos we playing just 20 minutes a month on line? In all the posts above there was no real suggestion of how we ID and remove cheaters from public servers. Looks like I'll have to crash back on to killing bots, at least I know for sure they all are cheaters... so I don't make holes in my room walls and spare my keyboard and the mouse to live another day...there is no way I'm breaking my HOTAS , BS is on the way....

  28. From watching the vid it looked to me that they'd just mounted the dish to swivel on a single axis ,then rotated that axis to get movement in the other plane ... What I assumed was that they would already have had experience with similar gimbal system from previous radars & the most obvious solution for mechanically augmenting the scan limits was to adapt existing systems - In the 70's (and think back to the state of computers & coding at that time), when the Russian's were writing the software for what was the first electronically scanned radar deployed in a fighter, they perhaps lacked the processing power and expertise to code in an ability to compensate for roll (or maybe they decided to keep processing requirements down in a plane that wasn't designed to be engaging in dogfights anyway). I seriously doubt that given the advances in both computer hardware and programming that have happened between the 1970's and now, Russia has been unable to find a team that could write some code to compensate for roll :-) In this day & age does that really seem likely to you ? Even if you couldn't find anyone in Russia up to doing the job - which I seriously doubt, how many man-years of software genius could you hire from developing nations for the cost of a single fighter ? If you have software to compensate for the plane's roll, it will also compensate for the dish's roll, & so the method of acheiving the movement is neither here nor there, and given the obvious advantages of coupling mechanical steering with electronic scanning, I think a more likely scenario is that they've simply applied existing & proven mechanical steering designs to the problem of moving the dish (especially given your comments about being cash strapped - why re-tool when you already have something that will do the job).

  29. Czech republic in 2002 turned down its earlier plans to buy 24 Jas-39 for 1.6 billion $, excluding weapons. That's 67 million (2002)bucks per plane - it doesn't look like a really small price in this case. And F-16's price is near to that value too.

  30. haha thanks you guys for all the nice comments. Really appreciate it. And to witchking, sadly no. There's a lot of things that are limited by hard code so we can't really do that.

  32. Mirage F-1 is a bit too dated and 2 generations behind the other offers. As I can see it the only real option is the Gripen. Small plane for small country and small price tags as well. But oh boy it does have fire power...

  34. Hmmm... Which USAF aircraft is my favorite...? Well, if we're talking BVR, I have to go with the F-15. For WVR I prefer the F16. But that's just this era. If we talk the VietNam airwar era, I like the F8F Crusader. It had guns, and some agility. Plus, I remember the very cool sound they made when they flew past, turning into the pattern (I was on Okinanwa for 22 months, saw the SR-71 while it was still just rumored to be on the island). For WW2 I like the P51B & C with the Malcom hood. Both were faster than the D, and a little lighter. I think both the Su-27 and the MiG-29 are very formidable in the close-in fight. I recall seeing a program where F-18s were practicing againt German MiG-29s and Fulcrums generally owned them close in. Such a huge thrust-to-weight advantage over the Hornet. Plus the Russian planes have had the off-bore targeting helmut for some time now while the US is just adapting it for use with some of it's planes. I can't decide which plane is more beautiful when I think of the Flanker and the Eagle. Both just look so "right". The F-16 looks absolutely timeless. :) Flyby out

  39. Hmmmm reading yours post I have only one request - don't point somebody is cheater without any clear proofs. In the past I was also suspected of cheating - example enemy couldn't aim me, but friend from the right yes, I also got warping before missile wanted to hit me, or I got much kills in one run. It is very unpleasantly to be suspect for the suspected person, and after for more for criminative person like in my case. Think over before jugde somebody. :) And what about cheating - all is possible. There is no any game which human couldn't brake. But most common that there are lags or unexpected behaviour. Like it was said Lock on net code isn't good. Sometimes I fly on 169 or 104 on Su-25T and killed F-15 or Mig-29 on AviaSibir from Vikhrs, despite F-15 fired one or two AIM-120 oO, I put many chaffs and killed F-15. Killed person COULD (I don't say thought) think that I am cheater cause how he in this brick could evase 2 Amraams.... To resolve problems like strange behaviour on net it is needed ED help to improve code, fix bugs ect - without this IMO still will be uncertainty about if it is cheat or not and will be unpleasantly situations.

  40. I am not sure about questions 1 and 2. However, as for the answer to question 3 ... when I press H for alt hold, I lose a couple hundred feet prior to the plane stabilizing at an altitude, even if i am already in level flight and have been for some time.

  41. Hi BrumTx :) About your first item : Make sure you deleted all older tacview.exe on your computer. The 0.91b version has for some programming issue a hard time with Windows options such as "assign a soft to a file extension" or "assign an icon to a file extension". Then if you still have TacView 0.90, and even if you asked Windows to open *.acmi files with the new 0.91 tacview.exe, it will still open with the older 0.90 exe. How be sure ? Don't double clic on a .acmi file, but launch first Tacview 0.91, then choose File>Open and point your .acmi file ;) Hope it'll helps, ;) Cheers Az' PS : Vytuoz said that this issue should be corrected in the next versions... :)
