Please no problem replies, just say thank you to Yen and the Sim- Mod team for a awsome release. I downloaded this and can I say i wet my knickers :) It is bloody fantastic. My Son (Findlay) who was three on 6 May screams with excitement when flying the new A10. I will post some pics of me and him flying soon. He goes nuts over it! Btw as a responsible parent, I do keep the simulation tame and no explosions etc as it has upset him. Anyway post your thank yous here so the team know we really do appreciate the new A10. Mizzy

Много чего переделал, а именно: все катки, весь зад БМД, фары, крепления для дымовых зарядов, добавил мелких деталей на корпусе и башне, сделал бойницы на заднем люке, переделал крепления для инструментов и т.д. Вообщем переделал всё что можно было переделать:) Вот поглядите что получилось: Сейчас получилось 34853 полигона.

F-16 changes things up a bit though ... the MiG-29 is more of a match, even in the A version :)

That is sad, the museums should bid higher than the scrap yards. I saw it in the other thread, I hope you go for the JAS-39 Gripen (I'm Swedish) but with politics involved it might not happen.

Blue v Red scenarios will be just fine if Red is given more airframes, as it should be ;) Red would also have in principle more GCI, and the airframes need to be used in their proper role and tactics. THEN you have a fight. Yes, the exchange ratios may still favor an F-15, but there now is where you have a SIMULATOR, simulating a REALISTIC SCENARIO vs. a game. You can also spice things up by creating a restricted scenario, ie. no ARH for F-15 for example. In principle, the exchange ratio should still favor the F-15, but nowhere near as greatly as when armed with AIM-120's. And that's no bet, I ain't taking that :D

Just bought asus en9600gt top,(overclocked from factory). It is highly oc able from what I have read and when using aa or af it starts to bet the 3870 and 8800gt by 10%. Good card for the bucks. I always ran ATI till I researched this one. It's in 512mb and a nice 3 year warranty to go with it and a nice package of cables for HDMI.

I've been reading this one since it got off track and figured I'd chime in with my hypothesis. For around 50 years you had two opposing factions competing with each other. Sometimes they had technological parity, other times not. Towards the end of that period (1970s-1980s), one side intentionally focused on pulling ahead of the other, even to the point of risking severe economic problems (don't believe me? go read up on the GDI "Star Wars" project -- that was "miraculously" dropped and swept under the rug shortly after the USSR's collapse -- and the effects it would have had). The idea wasn't just to gain an advantage, it was also a very well-educated guess that the other guy couldn't keep up. While one side would be damaged, the other side would face collapse. Ok, so the other guy tried to keep up, did a fairly decent job of it for a while, but did end up collapasing, admittedly from other internal reasons, mostly. The point is that their technology for all practical purposes stopped advancing. The MiG-29A was an example of their "state of the art". And I mean that literally -- it wasn't cutting edge, there were more advanced versions being tested and designed, but it truly was an example of the general state of their technology. I'd dare say it was a very valid threat in its day, especially in greater numbers with the proper support. The thing is, while one guy stopped advancing, the other didn't. So therefore, ANY comparison between their technology today is going to seem invalid and unrealistic, when infact, its the exact opposite. It is totally valid and a very true reflection of the state of things.

Absolutely agreed. Again, it wasn't fair, but it wasn't because there were more F-15s - i.e. it wasn't because of a numerical superiority - was the point I was trying to get across :) That "argument" on whose AMRAAM actually killed a MiG happened only once, on the third day of war - and it was between the flight lead and his wingman - the only 2 F-15s that participated in that 2 Vs 3 engagement, ironically the only engagement where in Allied Force where F-15s were out-numbered. Making mountains out of mole hills?

Всю ветку не осилил, я за запрет пуска ЭТэхи, но против запрета полета на ПМВ. С таким же успехом можно говорить о запрещении стрельбы по целям летящим на высоте 20,01м, 21м, 22 и т.д. ибо в релае вероятность ухода ПАРГСН на отраженный от земли сигнал очень высока, и даже вероятность захвата БРЛС отраженного от земли сигнала существует. Значит читеры не те, кто летает на ПМВ, а те кто их на ПМВ обнаруживает и атакует... Забавно? А дальше, во что стремление к реализьму превратится? Вот мне не нравится, то что сушка в ЛО может безболезненно вылезать на альфы за 30 и нормально на них управляться, это не соответствует прописанным в РЛЭ ограничениям и является особенностью реализации. Может стоит придумать бан для тех, кто так летает, ведь нагло пользуются негодяи не совершенством СФМ? Ну а то, что в советских самолях захват происходит мгновенно? Тоже не порядок. По РЛЭ все не так просто получается. Давайте тоже придумаем какое-нибудь правило? Ну там подождать с момента нажатия кнопки захвата 3-5 секунд и после этого производить пуск или нажимать кнопку захвата заново... Круто? Реализьм? IMHO, то что вы придумываете уже явно перебор. Хотя мне по большому счету все равно чего вы намутите, один хрен к рафу не конектит меня :))) Лучше б организацией взаимодействия между самолями в группе занялись пользы больше было б)))

No problem... let us know what you do. Personally Im waiting to trade away my 8800gts 640mb for the ATI releases, hopefully next month. I'm never one to tell people "wait for this!" because that waiting game usually sucks. But these cards may be high performers and you tend to hold onto your equipment for the longer term.

Performance-wise, I think the 9600GT is faster than the 7850, but its negligible. However, the 7950 is only dx9 while the 9600 is dx10. Guess the thing is if your willing to get Vista or a cracked version of dx10 to get the full benefits out of it.

That is my current rig, and I plan on only switching out the GPU this year, or waiting until next year and replacing the whole system. Even at only AUS $200 I'm not sure that the performance difference between the 9600GT and my existing 7950 GX2 will be worth it.....
