  1. Привет всем. В РЛ я немножко полиграфист :) Сделал спуск полос в мануале с разделением на фронтальные и тыльные стороны страниц. Теперь любой желающий может распечатать на принтере формата А4 сначала фронтальные, потом тыльные страницы и получится брошура формата А5 (184 страницы). Печатать надо так: сначала файл с фронтальными страницами, потом перевернуть всю пачку распечатанных страниц тыльной стороной, положить их в приемник бумаги принтера, и распечатать файл с тыльными страницами. Желательно потренироваться на одной странице: распечатать первую страницу из одного файла, потом правильно ее перевернуть и распечатать первую страницу второго файла. Полсе этого при желании, можно сделать подрезку, переплет и обложку. Весит эта радость 26Мб. И у меня нет возможности выложить это в интернете. Разве что по почте, рзбив на тома и выслав тому, кто сможет. Кто может помочь с выкладыванием в инет - оставьте тут почтовый ящик. Или пишите в личку.

  2. It ain't :) For one, it's an icon. The most produced mil jet out there. It's a massive engine with a good airplane built around it. LOTS of switches to switch, buttons to press, knobs to turn. Mighty roar that moves your stomach and your heart :) It lands at 300 - 330 km/h. If you don't handle it with care and knowledge, it will spit you out for you are not worthy of such a machine. It shoots devil darts that require lots of skill and lots of praying if you are to hit anything. It's love.

DCS localization effort In light of so many topics regarding translations of available English or Russian documentation into languages other then those shipped with DCS, I would like to suggest more official approach to localization effort. I do not ask ED to change their plans nor to press additional languages into existing distributions. Rather, I suggest something like "language packs" that end-users could download by themselves after installing DCS. There are market researches according to which about 70% of software consumer prefer localized application over non-localized. It is my strong belief that expansion of localization can give immense boost to popularity of DCS, not mentioning revenue. If DCS is going to be distributed with addition of Spanish, French and German localizations, that means there must be some level of organization. That organization will not suffer on account of additional languages, as their distribution could be organized separately. Naturally, providing a bit of official support and help for interested groups is mandatory so they could more easily localize DCS into their own languages. The help would include providing files with source strings, help on implementing those, and means of testing and distributing. Preferable means of distribution of localized packages is DCS web site. This would be great improvement over unofficial GUI localizations, such as Croatian, because I've lost many month just on searching for language strings and endless testing. This is nothing to be scared off or frowned upon. I work on several localizations, among which I would like to mention KDE as most complex, but well organized. Their current list of language teams is quite long, but they distribute only those translations that have certain percentage of basic packages actually translated. Similarly, DCS could distribute only those packages that are translated in full and within agreed timeframe. Here I would like to suggest only to separate GUI translation from translation of various Manuals, as the later is much more complex. I've contacted several members of this forum asking them if they are interested into joining up on such effort and I was surprised with enthusiastic replies. I hope they will be equally enthusiastic in public, so we could show out interest into improving and enhancing DCS, thus making it unique in a special manner - as only multilingual flight simulation! I hope that a person of authority from ED/TCF will seriously consider my suggestion. We want to help!   6. Как Индикаторное устройство аппаратуры Л-140 работает - ясно, гораздо проще чем "Береза". А вот как использовать данные с нее, непонятно. Сколько раз было, чаще в онлайне. Просигнализировала Л-140 примерное направление излучения, нижняя полусфера, облучение лазерным дальномером. Вроде как-бы особенно боятся нечего, дальномер это не средства наведения (другое табло). Или я ошибаюсь. А через совсем небольшой промежуток времени получаешь ракету в борт. Хуже всего, что не видно, откуда она прилететь могла. Теперь собственно вопросы. При получении сообщения, как оценивать возможный риск? Что нужно предпринимать, какие маневры уклонения можно использовать. И немного не по теме. Можно-ли в онлайне, при получении ракеты, снаряда и т.п., в текстовых сообщениях писать, кто был тот гад, что в тебя попал :mad:, или это человек на Ка-50, или бот. Такие сообщения есть на серверах Ил-2. Собственно эти данные нужны для самооценки своих действий, обучения так сказать, потому-что в доступной документации почти ничего не сказано о защите от врага.

  10. Если на такие "жертвы" (занижение условного максимума графики) ты идти не готов, то спи спокойно - этот сим не для тебя. :) И зашоренность тут ни при чем. PS. На заборе и не то прочитать можно, а за забором обычно дрова. :) Это к вопросу о максимуме в настройках.

It's hard to say at this point, because of lack of good info on the subject.. 1) you can use touchbuddy on a pocketPC .. so if someone writes an output for the ABRIS or shkval you could at least control it from the pocket PC via LUA (allthough it wouldn't output the graphical moving displays..just an interface to the selectable controls) 2) The multi monitor support "seems" to only support a stretched desktop mode , which implies that all display devices need to run the same resolution. A pocket PC will not be able to support a usable desktop resolution, and so even if it is possible to use it as a desktop display device, you couldnt use it in stretched desktop mode. This needs to be confirmed though, as we havent had any clear information to do with the way the Display+Shkval or Display+ABRIS monitor settings / output modes work in BS. 3) Urze has a good (read 6 display) setup with different resolutions, though I think he's useing an output emulator to fool windows and split one signal into multiple displays. He can't discuss the setup on here, however, I think there are some details on his setup either on his site (google "leftside urze") or perhaps on lockon files?. This setup, as far as I know, does NOT include dedicated Shkval or Abris monitors though. It'd be cool if someone could let us know how the Display+Shkval and Display+ABRIS modes actually work for certain though. I doubt whether the app has been coded to recognise 2 seperate outputs , more like it will work by doing a split-screen render using half the "screen" to render the ABRIS or Shkval, and half the screen to render the cockpit.

  19. Where is this activation debate coming from suddenly. We have (more restrictive) Activations with FC than we will have with BS and still we have squadrons, mods and a cool community around FC. This thing is getting some drama queen attitude lately.

  20. Have had Falcon (hate to use it as an example) for the past 10 years and have been happily flying with my Squadron mates for 8. I don't count the number of times I've changed hardware, machine, formatted or simply re-installed the sim. In the meantime I've spent time with many other games which, once finished, went into a box for good. If you expect Squadrons to form up, mods to be installed and uninstalled, people will need a platform allowing them to do so. Limiting the number of activation on a product which, supposedly, will be on our machines for quite a long time, is not what I'd define "user friendly". As it will not be possible to make a copy or fly without the dvd inserted, I'd like to know what happens if, after a year or two, the dvd becomes unusable? Will ED send me a new one? As you seem the only kid on the block, at least for a while, I'd probably still buy it. Am I enthusiastic about the idea? No. If the product is good people will buy it. This is not a game you take off the shelves and sell 15 days later. If you want it you buy the box, the manual and the nice keyboard or joystick layout that usually comes with the DVD. Keeping it simple is an option.

  21. Братан, я бы на твоём месте для ускорения игры не ядра процессора насиловал, а разгрузил бы свою оперативку, которая судя по твоим скринам, стоко всего "самого полезного" содержит что игра может прибавить реально в скорости без всего этого. Без обид :-)

  25. Да, действительно процессор играет главную роль. Мне повезло с камнем, E8600 удалось разогнать до 4500 Mhz на воздухе. Для игры в ЧА этого оказалось вполне достаточно. Вот такой вопросик в тему "20-ти гигагерцовый процессор". Что не вошло в ЧА, что ещё можно было бы повычислять? :)

  26. OMG .. Dude just put your hands up and step away from the violin please. There are some of us here that may not buy DCS : BS becasue of the way the limited activations might work .. And we aren't crying about it. If you don't want to buy then don't, I'm sure others will purchase BS so don't be so disrespectful to a company that's only trying to do what it feels is the best way to protect its investment so they can continue to produce great sims for all of us. If the CP they choose is not for me then so be it, I'll find another hobby or continue to play LO: FC which will still be a great sim years from now.. But don't go and get things fired up in a thread that's been nothing but civil since it started.
