I have noticed that there a lot of new members to the forum in the last month. They may not be aware of Tacview - http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-en.php This is a very useful ACMI tool for after action review of flying a mission. You can see where you made mistakes. Also it is of great use for mission creation/testing.2 points

Вижу такие популярные на данный момент категории вопросов: lua активация защиты мультиплеер моды (перечень, классификация, вопросы совместимости и применения в онлайне) настройка джоев, особенности работы ФФ мультимониторные конфигурации алгоритмы управления и работы оборудования, смоделированного в игре маневры Имхо, самое то для организации небольшой (пока) базы знаний. Друзья, для будущего патча требуются национальные текстуры Ка-50 всех игровых стран. Некоторые мы уже имеем, но для следующего списка стран ваши творения будут приветствоваться. Срок: Желательно до конца января. Текстуры принимаются в виде BMP файлов. В случае использования оригинальных текстур для ротора и других частей, желательно указать какие именно. Смотрите файл ka-50.skins Для отгрузки файлов можно пользоваться сервисом http://www.yousendit.com/ с указанием адреса получателя. Текстуры будут оцениваться по принципу "понравилось - не понравилось". Понравившиеся будут включены в патч.1 point

It's already being finished right now and since it is one of the most important player-controlled aircraft in the mod, you'll get the MiG29 in two flavours (this particular skin and the new two-tone blue combination air superiority one). Thanks mate! We have 19 MiGs in service right now: 14 MiG29S (Russian index 9-13S) and 2 MiG29UB two-seaters acquired second-hand from Belarus as well as 3 MiG29SE, export variant index 9-13SE acquired brand new from Russia. 21 MiGs were originally purchased between 1995 and 1996, but two of them were lost in accidents (one of them during a night training exercise atributed to pilot loss of situational awareness and the other due to engine failure at low altitude - fortunately no one was killed as pilots ejected safely on both occasions). A contract with RAC MiG was signed late last year to upgrade eight aircraft - two -UB and six -S - to a standard similar to -SMT (and since the upgrade is being tailored to specific Peruvian Air Force requirements, it's been dubbed as -SMP, "P" for "Peru"). Upgrades shall include the introduction of HOTAS and at least one large format MFCD in the cockpit, a heavily modified N109 radar with components from the Zhuk-ME, new KOLS Article-13M optronic sensor, state-of-the-art electronic countermeasures suite, RVV-AE compatibility (right now, only jets acquired from Russia can fire the RVV-AE), etc. Yep, a US Air Force team visited Peru a year-or-so ago for conducting exercises with the Peruvian Air Force. F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 4th Fighter Squadron based at Hill AFB, Utah, as well as AEW&C, support and air-to-air refuelling aircraft visited Chiclayo in northern Peru for a full week of exercises not only with Peruvian 'Fulcrums' but Mirage 2000s as well. At the end of the week, several aircraft visited Lima - the city I live in and capital of my country - for an airshow at Las Palmas airbase. Pilots from the Viper West F-16 demo team put up a fantastic demonstration. Our fighter pilots didn't disappoint, as well :) (click for high res) There's no official information on the outcomes of such dogfights (as usual) but off-the-record and from people I know in the military and defence-related media, I'm confident to say our planes and pilots did good. At first, US pilots were getting hammered because they seemed to underestimate their Peruvian colleagues and put their most novice pilots in the seat during the early stages of the exercises to dogfight the MiGs and Mirages... but later on, they weighted up when more experienced US pilots stepped in. All and all, it was good practice for both forces and the chance for Peruvian fighter pilots to get a feel on what it would be like to dogfight the F-16 (as you know, Chile, our neighbour to the south, has F-16 in its inventory, recently acquired from the US and the Netherlands). And they could explore in detail the Fighting Falcon (F-16C/D Block 40 CCIP, similar to the Chilean F-16 Block 50s) as they often flew as backseaters aboard the -D Viper models, even during simulated dogfights.1 point

i made the nav and beacon lights on all jets and helis little more realistic, smaller light halo around light source. looks a lot better over defaults. install to temp textures =enjoy. screen1 point

Американские вертолеты как учебник исписаны рекомендациями, предупреждениями и прочими технологическими надписями. Можно ли для красоты сделать имитацию? Что бы под заголовком типа Warning! были столбцы мелкого нечитаемого текста? А то если делать по уму, надо садится и изучать их нормы, что бы не сделать курам на смех :)1 point

2=Serj= Не удержусь вставлю свои десять копеек. В свое время потратил время на эксперименты с процем в ЛО, поэтому могу с уверенностью сказать что для ЛО и ЧА важны как частота проца так и размер кеша, который влияет на плавность. помню очень сильно раздражали постоянные рывки, хорше заметные при пролете не высоко над землей, в этом плане 2х ядерный проц с кешем в пол метра выглядел значительно хуже нежели одноядерный с метровым кешем и той же частотой. избавитьсяя от этих проблем удалось только пересев с AMD на C2duo6600 c кешем в 4 метра. Laivynas абсолютно прав по поводу интел. Процы от интел в отличии от AMD значительно лучше гонятся, что может добавить ОЧЕНЬ приличный бесплатный процент к общей производительности системы и в ЧА, конечно же, это будет заметно очень. Для примера после разгона с2d8400 с 3.2 до 4.1ГГц, fps в ЛО вырос на 10-30%, что становится особенно важно когда fps снижается до20, о таком разгоне на воздухе владельцы платформы AMD могут только мечтать, в то время как практически любой Penryn способен взять 4ГГц шутя, единственное- нужна мамка не самая дешевая и кулер не BOXовый, а что то вроде TT BIg Typhoon или любой другой не менее призводительный. Кроме того, во всех тестах сравнения AMD vs Intel, которые мне попадались на глаза и судя по тому, что говорят люди на overclokers, на равной частоте и при равном кол-ве ядер интел производительней чем AMD в 90% приложений. я не пытаюсь агитировать и догадываюсь, что многие владельцы платформы AMD будут не очень довольны моими словами, но пользуясь безнаказанностью высказал свое мнение:P. Ждать год абсолютно не стоит т.к. Сi7 будет очень кстати только во многопоточных приложениях, а в неадоптированных играх, в сравнении с Penryn, разница примерно равна нулю, даже несмотря на то, что Сi7 с оперативной памятью работает в два раза быстрее. НО! адназначна проц не должен быть одноядерным т.к. в висте, и это уже обсуждалось много раз, ЧА лучше работает с двумя и > ядрами нежели с одним. зы.Ссылка где можно найти много полезного при выборе новой системы, возможно ты бываешь здесь но на всякий случай... http://www.overclockers.ru/ самое интересное в закладке "конференция"1 point

Спасибо большое всем, кто ответил. Буду разбираться. Напишу, пожалуй ещё об одной проблеме: у меня проблема со звуком, как в теме про проблему со звуком на Висте. Скачал оттуда эту прогу для реалтека, поставил. Появился лишь NewShortcut1, который не запускается, и проблема не вылечилась. У меня XP Pro SP3, звук естессно бортовой. Приходится постоянно нажимать Esc, чтобы вернуть звук в "нормальное русло", а то со временем появляются какие-то "эхи, звучания издалека" и т.д. Спасибо1 point

Не за что ... ;) Читай-читай! Без этого никуда. Ты видно из начинающих. Это очень хорошо. Что ЛО, что Ка, это не аркада. За пару дней не возможно освоить всё, да и пары месяцев тоже маловато будет. Информации очень много и на "двух пальцах" это просто не реально объяснить. Всё приходит со временем и от желания её найти/самому разобраться.1 point

DraggonRR found a method that you can convert (using modman) any textures to dds format (makes them far smaller than BMP) and then just rename them back to .bmp. The game runs and seemingly has no problems with this kind of texture. In fact it is invariably a smaller texture (thus graphics overhead) than when it's in the CDDS (go figure!?!). If I can be bothered I might go through and do this for all the ED textures that are in the temp textures directory.1 point

При полётах с клавиатуры RCtrl+Enter необходим, ИМХО. Кроме того, aPul, видимо ты пока не освоил полёт с включённым автопилотом. Рекомендую посмотреть ролик Trimming. Для начала попробуй включить директорный режим и полетать с ним.1 point

Its interesting: In this thread, some people cheered the initiative made by a really talented guy, for his automatic mission generator for Lock-on. They praise the sighting of a living battlefield - a thing Falcon pilots had for years :D So I believe a DC system, internal or external to the simulation, would add a lot of enjoyment for us simmers. ED could be kind and, in the case they wouldn't want to develop a DC on its own for the foreseeable future, at least publish hooks and extensions to enable third-party developers to do their magic. I think this would mean a lot to the simmer community.1 point

The INU sends information to your ADI, HSI, HUD, to the ABRIS, and it communicates two-way with the weapon system as well - and of course the datalink system and autopilot. The DNS is also involved in communication with the autopilot; but to be clear, the autopilot gets coordinates from the INU and IIRC, K-041 (weapon/sensor system) and not from the ADI/HSI or anything else. Your interface to the INU is the PVI-800. Details are in the manual ;)1 point

I have Steam, but already purchased the download versions ( Russian and English ) directly so don't really have any incentive to purchase it again. I will say this: The slightly younger crowd loves Steam. ED would get a HUGE amount of advertising just from having their game on Steam. Anything which would get this product out in front of other flight sim fans or bring people in to play this sim would be a good move. Personally I think the state of the multiplayer base in this sim is pathetic at best. There are maybe 10 servers at any given time, most of them private...pretty lame. Multiplayer is where it's at, like it or not. If it wasn't for multiplayer, games like Falcon 4.0 would have died long ago. Steam would probably bring in thousands of more players. Even though BS multiplayer is mostly all about co-op, many people would still like it. Look at the success of games like Left for Dead. BS is an amazing game and I would like to see the series continue development. The only way that is going to happen is if people buy this game. The market is there, you just have to tap into it. If you don't like steam...fine, buy the box or download from ED directly.1 point

it doesn't have to be but its one of those simple "why not" features of a good dynamic campaign. In dynamic campaigns each unit is 'more' anonymous.. in a scripted campaign the main character is the story character, in a dynamic campaign each unit has equal importance to the campaign.. which lends nicely to a multiplayer element. Especially when you consider in a true DC in DCS you could have Blackshark pilots flying at the same time as teh A10 pilots.. because each one is just as important, instead of the campaign being strictly tailored neither for the BS or the A10..1 point

Ну а чем те же Ми-24/Ми-17/Ми-2 от Nemeth не нравятся? Круче я не видел. Вот бы взять из МСФС сетку всего земного шара в т.ч. Афган итп, а из ЛО все что касается боевых действий (модель повреждения, наведение ракет, балистику вооружения итд итд). Да FSX жрет много действительно по сравнению с MSFS2004, а вот насчет городов... В ЛО единственная вещь чем-то похожая на мой город - волнорез, все, больше абсолютно ничего похожего. А сетка и близко не подходит. А вот в MSFS дополнения "кавказкой" сетки ставит все горы итп на место. А тот же бесплатный аэропорт Адлер очень и очень на него похож, единственное различие - часто рейсовый автобус подъезжает, а в жизни не дождешся, одни навязчивые таксисты :)1 point

NoName Тот Ирокез в качестве прототипа брать немножко некорректно, поскольку он сам пародирует камуфляж Ми-24 специально для участия в учениях. Такой камуфел для США нетипичен.1 point

If you pick the aircraft up to a hover, and leave the collective at that point, you're only going to go so fast for a given pitch setting before you start to descend. As you increase airspeed, collective pitch is ultimately going to be reduced because the rotor system is becoming more efficient. That being said, a helicopter is not like a jet, the turbine engines do not provide the thrust like in a jet, pitch is you're primary means of gaining forward airspeed, but you have to have a given power/collective setting to maintain that airspeed, without it you start to descend.
