I can't say that I can blame Russia. Every other nation in the world has a 2 seat attack chopper. Im sure some have experimented with a single seat solution, but Russia was the only one to put something like that in production. I can't help but agree with the correlation between the Black Shark and the Commanche. Both are cool choppers. Both taught each nation alot through their developments. Both are ultimatly really expensive research projects, and Im sure the lessons learned from them will be applied for decades. Like a single seat attack chopper is somewhat not practical. And why build a new fleet of stealth attack choppers when the Apache D is more than enough. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the code governing the behavior of these tanks is practically identical. Also its a game. Enough said. PS Groove. My tank cat can lol all over your nations tank cat. :smilewink: Don't mean to derail. It already was. . .3 points

I saw some interesting stuff online about using the WiiMote as an IR tracker and decided to put something together for these wonderful clickable cockpits. Using an old golf glove, I attached an IR LED, battery and switch to enable my LCD monitor to act like a touch screen. Wasn't to hopeful at first, but in the end it actually works, and works very well! Here's a quick video of this little gadget, dubbed the "Power Glove" (originality is not what I get paid for), at work in Black Shark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLkfx6QxLfg1 point

Night mission by TX-Kingsnake. He makes very interesting missions. http://www.4shared.com/file/80734028/6b35ae4f/Insurgent_Camp.html Brief: Insurgents backed by the U.S. were uncovered at an apparent insurgent training camp. The discovery was made after the 1st Commando Battalion was attacked while on a noontime patrol South of the Ingress waypoint. As they approached a group of tents, they were attacked by sustained heavy fire from RPG, small arms, and fixed emplacements. Seven commandos were killed and six were wounded. There were an estimated 70 to 100 attackers in dug-in positions. An officer with the unit called in air support. Attack helicopters from Task Force Otkrytka's Aviation Brigade responded but sustained major structural damage and were forced to turn back. Objective: Destroy the camp including the tents. www.txsquadron.com mission by: TX-Kingsnake1 point

since I am really a novice when it comes to this, here goes. After going into the system error report and tracking down the latest system recover I found the corresponding error code. After some quick research ( a la Google) it seemed the code was referring to a keyboard driver error in conflict with vista. I use a Razer Keyboard that I purchased while I was still using XP, but once I started with vista I was having BIOS issues with both the mouse and keyboard (same manuf.) and needed to download some vista fixes. Those new drivers would run a new program under system services, and yesterday I turned off more services under Task Mgr. than normal and I assume this is what made my configuration unstable so when I rebooted the system I left those services related to my peripherals running, I have not had a crash since!!!! However I wont be surprised to be back after I write this with an "ooops" :) By the way all the posts with fixes for the X52 Pro have mine up and running perfectly!!! Thanks everyone!!1 point

Hi to all, I am preparing a Mod for the ModMan of the Spanish Army Aviation “Famet”, are three Skins for the CH-47 Chinook of the Famet:smilewink:, these Skins are the three mimetic that the Chinook in the Famet in the different theaters from operations uses in which it takes part:smilewink:. The Skins is “Standard”, that is used of perpendicular form by all vehicles of the Famet. The "Boscoso" skin, that is used in theater of operations where the wooded terrain or has a very dense vegetation. And the “Arido” Skin in theater of operations where the terrain is barren, this mimetic is the one that has used the Famet that been has moved in Afghanistan:smilewink:. When they have them totally finished, I will put a discharge connection so that if it is tothe liking of the community they unload it:smilewink:. Good I hope that these Skins is to the liking of all:smilewink:. A greeting and good hunting.1 point

You have Lockon v1.02 installed. Not FC. The second disc will install v1.1 and a patch v1.12a for windows xp and v1.12b for vysta. In v1.02 the only way to get a flyable a/c other than what ED has is to find a mod. A very good one is the F18 for v1.02. VNOA tomcat mod is for FC. Lockonfiles.com have flyable aircraft and it will tell you what version of lockon they are for. In FC you can make all the aircraft flyable with a default SU-27 cockpit. You have to open the Meinit.xml folder and where it says human"no". change to yes. Now you can fly that aircraft. You need the password "eagle" to open the missions and select the aircraft then save it. You can call it another name using save as. Your second disc will carry the starforce protection where you have to enter the second disc every 7 days. V1.02 does not have starforce protection. Hope this helps you out. Cheers.:)1 point

My personal experience and experiments sum up to my suggesting that if you want to run BlackShark with the most amount of FPS possible, that you don't install it under XP. Better to do as most of us do and install Vista in a dual-boot configuration (leaving most all of your sims and games in XP) and boot into Vista (32 or 64bit) for BlackShark setting your affinity using one of the many forms on these forums (just do a search for "affinity") to your dual or quad core processor for a very noticeable in-game fps increase. On one of my pc's, I even created a triple boot with XP installed first, then Vista x64 bit and then Windows7 Beta. I have Blackshark installed on all 3 OS's and it runs good-fast in XP, runs even better-faster in Vista and in Windows7 it runs the fastest. All of these tested with the same max graphics settings, on the same pc, just different Operating Systems. For help with dual booting XP and Vista (with XP installed first) or dual booting Vista and XP (with Vista installed first) just google for these terms and you will find plenty of help. When dual booting, use BCDEdit or VistaBootPro (there are still sites offering this 2nd one for free) to edit and customize your dual boot system to boot the way you desire. You can have it so that XP boots 1st by default if no button is pressed or Vista, up to you.1 point

CE_Mikemonster, while I do agree in principle with what you are saying there, I don't really think anything is gained by continuing this further. (Realizing that I myself shouldn't have risen to the perceived bait either.) And yeah, has to be Afterburner.1 point

'An ad hominem argument, also known as argumentum ad hominem (Latin: "argument to the man", "argument against the man") consists of replying to an argument or factual claim by attacking or appealing to a characteristic or belief of the source making the argument or claim, rather than by addressing the substance of the argument or producing evidence against the claim.' You are discrediting CyBerkut's point by implying that he plays in Arcade Mode.1 point

Ok, here's version 2, more of a desert fictional. This one was an attempt to keep the pattern aligned throughout the various panels - I think I was fairly successful. I know the top of the rotor is the wrong colour. And for the life of me, I can't get rid of the red star on the tail. I've unchecked that layer, and unless there's something I don't know - I guess I'll try deleting that layer. And I think the main colour is too "orange-y" for a desert scheme, what do you all think?1 point

I knew that and it's sort of amusing yes. I'm sure the M1 is a decent tank but there isn't really anything that makes it so much better than all else.1 point
