  3. Hi Guys, Just thought I would put up a couple of shots of a new texture I have done. This is still WIP but as it stands I'm happy in the way shes come out. Now I hope to have this done for MODMAN but I'm still trying to figure out how we can add a skin. what I have done to see how she is, is to place the textures over one I don't use, one I have used is the "Fictional Olive Grey Scheme" as I notice that some off the textures did not match up properly (Front and rear) and using Modman for this way works fine. If there is any interest I will upload. Timm

  5. Well each helicopter will react differently to the onset of VRS so ideally an actual KA50 pilot would provide the input. However, for what it's worth, in my experience (with medium Western Twin Turbine helicopters) the initial indicator of possible VRS is the "rumble" felt while decelerating below Effective Translational Lift - it's felt through the seat of the pants as a rumble - not enough to upset the trajectory of the aircraft, but enough to feel through the seat. Once you start to get into VRS the loss of ETL rumble is joined by the vibrations associated with putting a lot of power into the transmission because you're trying to stop the developing descent rate. Once it has developed into VRS the controls feel sloppy (like a fixed wing at the incipient stall phase), the aircraft is still rumbling and pitching and yawing and you're going down. When you demonstrate/practice VRS, the entry to it is all fairly gentle, but a couple of times, I've had it be rather nasty with a lot of yaw and pitching - it can potentially be a rather violent thing once you get in. Often the yawing in a Western style helicopter is because the tail rotor becomes less effective due to being inside the Vortices from the main rotor - so that, coupled with a high main rotor torque demand can lead to quite violent yawing also - given the lack of tail rotor on the KA50 - it may well react differently at this point. To be fair, I think the way it is simulated atm in Blackshark is about right in terms of what you see out of the window - I don't really want to see it modelled significantly differently or make it harder/easier to get - it's about right I'd say (having never flown the KA50!). We are missing the seat of the pants feeling of it though but that's not the fault of the sim. As a side note, you get a similar but shorter lived rumble while accelerating through ETL also. r.

  7. ---Как уже было сказано выше Фалькон "завараживает" своей возможностью работать с апаратурой. Пусть не все кнопки кликаются, но и того что есть с лихвой достаточно чтобы с головой погрузится в управление. Одни только радарные режимы чего стоят. Я уже молчу о навигации, радиообмене и работе с оружием. Когда я разобрался с режимами прицелов для бомбометания я "повзвизгивал" от удовольствия. НО. Как только отрываеш взгляд от приборов, настроение портится от вида земли от наземки от системы повреждений. Неотмосферно. Я уже писал ранее - "была бы сказка, если бы Фалькон и ЛО или ДКС можно было бы "скрестить". Получился бы -супер-мега симулятор! ДКС ЧА тому подтверждение. Немного жаль что следующим самалётом будет А10, интересная машина, но весьма узконаправленая. Если бы это был F16 или F18 или МиГ29, на мой взгляд, были бы убиты двадцатьдва зайца. И любители истрибителей были бы сыты и те кому нравится поработать по земле и отбится от ястребово противника были бы довольны. Но разработчикам виднее, за одну только Акулу, им надо Сталинскую премию вручить. Ну а Фалькон он действительно как наркотик, три раза в разные годы я ставил его на комп, и безжалосно сносил. И снова я его устанавил, да к тому же скачал пятый, мужественно преодолевая языковой барьер, пытаюсь с ним справится. Вот ведь "зараза" какая. С уважением.

  9. C Су-33 труднее. А вот вполне нормальные модели Су-27 есть. Их в природе две. Одна из них стандартная (да-да, не надо удивляться:)), другую сделали товарищи Китайцы http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39318. У нее повыше детализация, но по точности после штатной ЛОвской модели идет новая модель от ЕД.   12. Alright, so it's clear that the file was damaged when you saved it in notepad. I believe the only solutions are a reinstall, or you could try using my Materials.lua, which I've attached. materials.zip

  13. Too cold and lubricant viscosity is too high (not slippery enough). There is an optimum temperature range which you must be always consider, in piston-powered aircraft at least. A descent at low engine power can easily cool the engine too much and cause problems with fuel freezing and insufficient lubrication. During a long descent engine power must occasionally be increased to prevent problems, particularly if the decent is to land since if you abort and need full throttle then fuel icing could seriously ruin your day (or life!).

  14. The Shark seems more susceptible probably due to people not being able to feel the helicopter's motion. Normally you'd correct for VRS before it ever happened because you'd feel the heli starting to descend.

  16. Hi Joey, Sorry I should explained better. I use Paintshop Pro X and found some time back some templates showing various colours and from these I can just select a colour whilst in PSP and play around with it proir to placing on the texture. Here they are if you want.Timm

  17. The coaxial rotors generate pitch, yaw, and bank moments on the helicopter as a function of lift. Change the amount of lift produced by wildly yanking up (or down) on the collective, and the moments will change accordingly, resulting in equally "wild" motion along these three axes. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=649872

  19. LWR WIP Here is a pic of my LWR I made, it uses a project box (I can get the part # if needed) that is close enough to proper size for me. I could have used a smaller diameter red button, but I will live with this one. It sits next to my latest version of the AP control panel. There are small incandescent lights uner the buttons. The DT/DH/RD/BR plate will be redone with white styrene painted black before engraving. I've really been unable to do any work as I am battling a health issue. PS. I am almost embarrassed to show my parts after seeing the excellent parts made in the forum. For the record, I am going for the 'ridden-hard-and-put-away-wet' look of Yellow 25. :)

Pushing this server will also lay the groundwork for an OZ DCS-A10 server next year. So please vote. regards Bravo46 ps- Off shore players are welcome to vote as well. Having a DCS server live on a professional gaming network will benefit all multiplay pilots. The bandwidth availlable via a gaming network would make it very accessable worldwide.

АДР забиваем например - 80.250.162.148 ( IP адрес сервера RAF) 8. ПОРТ - 10308 9. СКОР - Modem 56.6K (как показывает опыт - оптимально) 10. Нижняя кнопа СТАРТ 11. загружается окно коалиций 12. выбираем коалицию - давим кнопу ВЫБРАТЬ над КРАСНОЙ или СИНЕЙ коалицией 13. загрузившись в окно коалиций давим кнопу ОК 14. загружается окно выбора ЛА 15. загрузившись в окно выбора ЛА, выбираем ЛА и давим кнопу ПОДВЕСКИ 16. загружается окно выбора ПОДВЕСОК 17. выбираем тип подвески, схему окраски, бортовой номер 18. Ctrl+F или СТАРТ - стартовать миссию 19. Ctrl+R записать трек - если есть желание после вылета проанализировать свои действия (см. screen5) 20. ждем пока не прогрузится миссия и оказываемся в кабине вы в сети, удачи ;)

  25. Я спаял сие чудо. Поставил ппджой. В фритреке галочку возле пункта ппджой поставил. Зашел в акулу, ппджой виден, но повороты головой управляют осями ппджоя, а их я кинуть на обзор не нашел как. Надо чтобы я либо привязал хатку к движениям головы, либо чтобы оси дублировались хаткой, либо еще какой-то вариант. Короче, помогите плз прикрутить фритрек к акуле.:doh: Заранее всем спасибо. З.Ы. Курить больше 100 страниц в соответствующей теме не осилил.

  27. Wow, I wouldn't of picked the F/A18 to be that popular. I suppose a lot of Countries (my own included) have them. Personally couldn't be less intereseted in the F-16 (Heresy I know), the're just so plain, so lifeless, so damn boring. Harrier would be sweet, but I put my vote in for the SU-27, ever since Flanker 2.0 its been my bird of choice. There's something special about taking one of them on a virtual sortie, and managing to bring it back afterwards.
