  2. Yeah grow up people. Tomcatz and other modders don´t get paid by making models. they make them in their free time and they do a good jobb. constructive criticism is always good and will make the modders develope their skills. But smashing someone down witha sledge hammer is just dumb. Keep such comments for yourself and get out and socialize with people. You guys clearly don´t know how to behave and I bet your mothers aint proud with you. Yeah I bet my comment sucks balls but this is jsut retarded behaviour over and over again. Tomxcatz! im really looking forward to this one and more mods from you. A personal request is some ground objects, such as buildings and airport stuff. In particular NATO stuff to fill the crimea with some western equipment. This F-4 should also make a good addition to Lock On +1 ;)

  3. Hi again. Right. Finaly got the upper panel wired and fixed (took some imagination to find out how). I wired the collective to one of Leo's card and it seems also to work. I also got the rudder connected to my cougar. I tried to mmake a friction system for the collective, but it doesn't work at all. I'm running out of idea. I connected everything on 2 7-ports USB hubs. Total 9 Leo Bodnar's card + cougar + nostromo + LCD screen + power supply to the video converter for my shkval screen + Track IR 5. Yes, 14 USB devices, and they are all recognised and working well at the same time. Amazing. Got also another 19 inches screen mounted behind the right part of the front panel so I can use it for the ABRIS, but I didn't find yet how to activate it in Windows XP (this third screen is connected on my second graphic card). Now I need to find a way to programme those buttons. I realised that SVMapper can deal with a maximum of 4 USB devices. Other keyboard mapping software can deal with 16 devices, but they seem to lack the 'on key pressed' and 'on key released' tag. Any suggestions guys?

  6. Line up your target beyond your weapon Rmax (maximum range) so you have time to lock it and set the apropriate weapon function (track moving target, air target, turn to target...) then engage from Rmax. If it's ATGM, as soon as the weapon impact, make a hard turn 90 degree while maintaining speed to get some separation between you and your target. Get back out and come in again for another run is need be. You should never be hovering when attacking. That how you find out how acurate TOW missils are and how tanks main gun are painfull. You should have your Shkval control set on your hotas, so you can pan the camera while manuvering the aircraft. I do this whitout any other pilot aids, other than the 3 mendatory Auto pilot functions.

  9. Your instrument is screwdriver, mine is Navier-Stokes equation. Who's closer to the theory?.. Huh?.. And that's the case for reality. The only way to cancel this is high-performance FCS, which obviously were not available in WWII. You score a FAIL

  10. I have to agree with Aeroscout, the model seems a bit off. This is meant as constructive critizism, so dont take it the wrong way, but the first thing that strikes me is that the tail section of the aicraft is off, the engine nozzles should be at more of an angle than they are, the part of the tail that's between the engines nozzles and the tail seems to be a bit to thin. As some have pointed out earlier the nose is a bit off, and the "plates" (dont know what they are called) infront of the air intakes are a bit out of shape. And lastly the whole model seems to be more low poly than the one that's allready in the game. Dont be discouraged though, I would say that there are quite a few things to fix on the model, but if you fix these problems I think it could be pretty damn sweet ;) Oh yeah, and one more thing, dont use photos as referance for modeling! They are allmost never dead on, so your model will allways look a bit off because you are building it off of a photo taken at a slight angle. Well, anyway, good luck with the Phantom, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

  11. OMG IT WORKS!!!!!!! I wired the "shift" and the letter "h" to the same switch and when I pressed it i got a "H" If I cut the wire for shift it gives me a "h" in lower caps!!!. Now to wire the breakout board and test all the connections.

  12. Why do you have to be so offensive? you too? wtf is wrong with some people around here? even if you think is a model isn't as correct as you'd like it to be, can't you guys at least be a bit more encouraging? someone once said "this community is akin to someone who eats their own kind" they weren't wrong :(

  16. My personal best was taking off and forgetting to turn off the anti-dust. Kept wondering why I couldn't get over those mountains without my engine starting to overheat. I pushed it to try and get over but never made it. My engines decided to go home without me.

  17. To elaborate a bit - as far as I've understood the patch will introduce an AI behaviour where the wingman will rearm and refuel when you do so. It was unclear if it included the option of "ordering" them to re-arm - if memory serves the quote in a post from the devs was that "the AI will re-arm along with the player", but I suppose it's a bit early to split hairs on semantics.
