  3. If you want to donate, I'll gladly take the money off your hands. I will give you nothing in return, but you'll have my gratitude. Wait, actually think of it like sponsoring a child. I'll send you pictures of me playing Black Shark. There are three levels of sponsorship that you can aim for. Silver: Anything up to $10/month will get you one photo a month and a handwritten message on the back. Gold: Gets you not one, but three photos per month complete with autograph and frame. You will also receieve my Skype contact details and I will set aside an hour per month where I will be available to talk to you. Video at Gold level is not available. To qualify for Gold you need to donate at least $50/month. Platinum: Platinum sponsorship is the pinnacle of success for you the sponsor. With your generous contributions you get all of the benefits of Gold and Silver plus you can Skype Video me. I'll even send you a daily update, by e-mail, of what's been happening in my day. In fact, once a week you will receive a call, yes that's right a telephone call, to last no more than ten minutes where I can impart on you the joy that your sponsorship has given me. You'll also receive a collector's edition signed print of me flying a real helicopter. All of these goodies, plus the peace of mind knowing that you are making a difference, will set you back just a measly $999/month. So do what you can, help sponsor me through the credit crunch. You can sign up for donations right away. Simply make your first year's payments in full to gullible[at]obxetra[dot]com and look forward to your first experience. What have you done to help someone else today? :D

  4. What you think Lockheed Martin did? They optimized it putting alot $$$$ into the same idea you have but not for me, not for you or everyone else, but in regard to how the F-16 system logics are built up in first place. The thoughts dont work like that "what would i use for for what function" but "how this whole system is operating at all"...then you watch my layout above and say "wow, oh thats smart, few buttons do everything depending in which mode you are". Story will be different if you have to use padlock or view switches because you dont have TIR, THEN you can -still based on how it should be- add or change things in order being able to play the "GAME" from your perspective. Believe me.....everything else might work, but YOU HAVE TO understand the concept in that jet first. Or to say it better: This is NOT what i did, this is what the F-16 builders made, i just put that on a x52 in respect to AFs limitations and functions...

  5. I saw some interesting stuff online about using the WiiMote as an IR tracker and decided to put something together for these wonderful clickable cockpits. Using an old golf glove, I attached an IR LED, battery and switch to enable my LCD monitor to act like a touch screen. Wasn't to hopeful at first, but in the end it actually works, and works very well! Here's a quick video of this little gadget, dubbed the "Power Glove" (originality is not what I get paid for), at work in Black Shark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLkfx6QxLfg

  8. As GGTharos said, sometimes flying high over the short range SAM/AAA danger is the answer. Only fly real low if you have no choice due to the larger, longer range SAM's. In real life the A-10 pilots had trained to fly low for a possible war in Europe. When they got to fly in an actual conflict - the 1991 Gulf War - they found that it was safer to fly high since the Iraqi long range SAM's and the MiG threat had been dealt with.

  10. Merci! It took me a lot of time and money to assemble it. For the Mig-25,I've seen a lot of them flying in real life, and the engine "rocket" sound during take-off is just... INCREDIBLE! It's my ultimate dream fighter too. :pilotfly:

  11. What would be an excellent idea and increase sales immensely im sure:music_whistling: would be to release the next a/c in pairs, eg. AH-64/Mi-24 , A-10A/Su-25 , F-16/MiG-29 , F-15/Su-27. Please make this happen. I make a solemn promise to buy them all and never whine on the forums about anything, plus with the added bonus just for you ED of describing (in a friendly manner) any faults you could patch by rigorously using and abusing each model from every angle.

  12. Wow, you guys at Eagle never fail to impress. Been following you guys since the days of Su-27 Flanker and I am simply impressed. I am definitely a helo fan again especially of Russian metal since the disappointing days of EECH. EECH2 is still midly disappointing because the flight model info did not receive an update although quite similar to DCS BS. I hope the next planned helo from you guys is the Ka-52 Alligator :smilewink:

  14. Every modern semi-auto handgun (enter your popular brand here) is pretty much based on the same 1900's design of their predeccessors (Colt 1911, Walther PP/PPK) yet, they are and will always be effective. Ka-50's tech may be 'old' compared to F16 and Apache but it'll do the job it's been designed for and that's not fighting long range SAMs but killing infantry, buldings, light armored vehicles and tanks.

  15. Well, this is a general plea. Having any kind of LOFC server is great, but having no a2g server at all is not good. And whether or not a2g missions are like your metaphore, it depends on the mission. When ground units are set up as dead fish on purpose, like on a2a servers, then I have to agree with you. But, with a complex a2g mission, thats another story.

  17. Yes, that fix is essential. Try to run ruprecht's version, with added height it's better for abris, but less frame-rate friendly. If you'll run abris screen with 900 width, try set the heigth 1170, not 1440. You end up with 5540*1170 resolution. Some middle ground there. But if you set abris to 1440*900, the image will be streched vertically. You have to choose between full screen image and correct aspect ratio. With that many monitors it's impossible for us to post 100% accurate solutions, you just have to do a lot of experimenting. There are a lot of combinations. One more thing. The communications menu will appear on abris display. The solution would be setting two secondary displays first, then three main displays. The other is set up another display, just for showing comms.

  18. well if u have the ka-50 and the A-10 that is enough for moving mud... we need a mulitrole plane that can dogfight and CCRP something lol.... i want 9G turns not a 250 knots slow flight :D as i mention before i hate choppers but the ka-50 was done to perfection which is why i bought it , i rarely fly it but i will contribute to DCS cause if they make a F-16/15/18 with such high detail then i will be a happy man . so after the ka-50 and the A-10 i think we should have some dogfights with a jet that can go faster then the speed of sound.

  19. Pairs would be perfect but they probably won't do it. Let's just hope picking the AH-64, no offense to Longbow fans; its a beautiful slick, that it won't be a huge mistake. We don't have any fast movers. If you were to have the F-15 / F-16 you could pick up a huge HUGE following. Same goes for the Mig-29, Su-27,ect. Moving mud will be great with the A-10 but after that another helo?

  22. BaD CrC: your numbers are attached. You will need to run the phantom monitor fix exe, because your two side screens are not the same width. The wiki has everything else you need. Good luck!

  24. Why not purchase a selection of live fishes, put them in a good sized barrel full of water, then use your Magnum.47 to help them breathe more easier. Believe this is much more fun, and challenging. J/K :D When designing our missions for the 51st server we understand the problems for A2G'rs met by so many fighters, so we try to structure most of the tasks for A2G aircraft in safe zones. While 'more units is better' its not always viable for max server performance. Sometimes we host a 29A and 25A only missions and also im sure in the future during the weekend we can start hosting A2G only days if interest is there.

  27. I guess this have a other reason GG, when the Heli gets out of control, and he is upside down in low altitute, there is the ejecting seat useless. But better you have one then no eject seat. For example you get hit by a stinger or igla in the tail section, where the tail-rotor is for the standart heli`s and you get a 360 spin, then good night especialy in a rough landscape like mountain`s. You will crash and burn. I guess this eject feature is not so bad.
