Yoda, GG, you guys have lost the plot... Yoda, thanks for ruining MP for 1.12 and now that's for doing the same for FC 2.0 ED, if you don't allow the option to disable lua export you might as well say good by to MP in FC 2.0 because this has gone too far and Yoda and GG are way out of line...2 points

... I'm not worried, he 29 break down and be unable to take off anyway. ;) I am, however, amused by your imaginative way of coercing testimonies :D2 points

This would be the ONLY solution to a can of worms that has already been opened... god knows for how long, btw... So question to any ED guys who read this... can that be done? Otherwise whats the point of promoting "new anti-cheat methods" in FC 2.0 If such things are still possible... this is totally ludicrous, IMO Pilots should always have the right to a fair fight when they enter a given server, or they should at least be aware what can and cannot be used against them...2 points

Actually he is not obligated to do anything. If it is possible he can make "kill everything on map except me super duper hydrogen bomb" mod and he still won`t be obligated to repair anything. It`s called modding. If it can be done and it`s not forbidden he has the free will to do what he pleases. It`s up to ED to stop cheating in the game, or server creators/admins, it`s not Yoda`s work to do that.1 point

What are yuo on about Moa? LEAVU does not allow cheating? Does the game give abaility to see your friendlies radar picture? If not.. then LEAVU is a cheat because Yoda made it do exactly that... and what not else... what is wrong with you people... don't see a tree from forest?1 point

Yoda, GG, as I've mentioned to you both, I think the datalink is a great idea and I'm amazed at the level of work you've gone into. Properly implemented, it's going to be awesome. But the 51st guys are right to say you are opening a can of worms. Please correct me in the technical department if I'm mis-understanding how you're coding it... If it cannot be enabled/disabled server side, then everyone who doesn't agree with it's implementation is going to consider it a cheat. You might not agree with them, but they will. Now if half the community considers it a cheat, it will DESTROY lock on online. Accusations of cheating will be rife, even more so than they are now with accusations of people modifying graphics, weird mods etc. There are about 4 guys in my squad who stopped flying lock on all together already over the cheating issues. It needs to be something enabled and disabled server side. I understand you are saying that is out of your control with the security issue, whether or not it will be fixed by ED with 2.0 etc. The one thing you CAN control is, whether or not you release this mod. I'd suggest that if ED leaves LUA exporting as is, and you release LEAVU with a significant part of the community calling "cheat", you will be destroying 2.0's online life before it even begins. It would be a great dis-service to yourself, and counter productive to what you are trying to achieve with LEAVU. Remember, I love your mod! But it needs to be above reproach.1 point

:helpsmilie: :) I would love to see you implement red side graphics for LEAVU. It is not a "blue side mod". It is a framework for external avionics, and you can use it to program for any plane. I chose to start with modules for F-15. Maybe you want to do Su27? GG spoke earlier about making a su27 datalink page.1 point

First, we should create a team of our own red programmers and start "program warfare" against Yoda! Second, we should hire few spies to sneak into Yoda's garage :detective: and sabotage his CPU :crash: Any further effort from Yoda or any blue team developers should be treated with :poster_ban:and their work studied and flushed down the drain :pain: Yoda must be restricted of accessing anything bigger than a pocket calculator!1 point

Unless it is not an offical part of the game core itself, which is just exported to MFDs and such, it remains a 3rd party advantage tool (cheat-app) ...period. No dicussuion, because it is as simple as that. (Tek: take it as compliment splashing bandits "knowing" they have better "weapons" , that is how i would think about it)1 point

Frankly I don't care how much people scream about it. Carry on the good work. :D1 point

Hey, guys give Yoda a break! Making mods is a completely legitimate activity. He can make a bloody Jumbo Jet firing patriot missiles, or swimming black shark if he wants. Realistic? He can call and advertise his mod "Ultra realistic swimming helicopter" if he likes. So attacking him for making a product is completely unnecessary. You can make propositions, give advices if you are interested in his work at all, but it`s his call if he takes any. You don`t like it, you don`t use it. It`s that simple. You don`t like people using that kind of mods, etc. online? Attack them not the creator or go play with people who don`t use it.1 point

I don't give a rats a## if you think its realistic or not THIS IS NOT LOCKON. Im simply outraged at this BS, im appaled at the pathetic answers being given to try and support such an outrageous idea which is a well disguised form of CHEATING Lockon players. I am disgusted at the idea of people implementing this in the name of realism unwittingly realising how they've been duped into cheating everyone they fly against. This is not part of Lockon, it is a VERY HELPFUL aid to the F-15's Navigation disguised with a blatant CHEAT tool to see what your buddies see with no server limitations and an unbelievable amount of scope for what ever else may be possible. Totally devious invention IMO, and Yoda I think you need to check your head for what your really trying to achieve here. :mad:1 point

Yoda I'd like to say with LRM you done your best to tackle a lot of LO's problems and any person can see you're trying your hardest to improve LO for the community, between now and my last post I've only just started to understand what exactly Leavu is and the mechanics and implications of Leavu, I have to say that you've opened up a can of worms with Leavu mate, I'm also an Eagle driver and I'd love to see the righteous Sperry datalink in LO's Eagle but you're on a slippery slope here, whilst I see the benefits Leavu will have for a squad in a MP enviroment I can also see the negative effects it'll have on lone wolves like me. Sometimes mate some things are just best left alone. It doesn't matter what I say because its far too late now. Yoda don't think I'm giving you a hard time because I'm not.1 point

Ok thanks for looking - the reason I asked is that I suspect it could be down to a misinterpretation of problems encountered by the Indian airforce. Prior to acquiring the Su-30MKI, India purchased the RVV-AE for upgrading some of its MiG-29s - IIRC these were of the 9-13 version(i.e. not the 9-13S with N019M radar) and as I understand it, rather than acquiring the N019M, they instead made the necessary modifications(for RVV-AE) to the "baseline" N019 themselves. My point being that since datalink operations requires compatibility between radar and missile, a problem with functionality might as well be down to shortcomings with those indiginous radar modifications. Then again, since India AFAIK was the first export customer for the RVV-AE, it could also simply be a case of "birth problems" with the initial batch recieved by India....which the manufacturer seems to admit to in the page of your first link. But datalink in an integrated aspect of the RVV-AE's functionality - inertial navigation with radio correction(datalink) + seeker active radar homing at terminal stage. So a deliberate removal of the datalink capability would make the missile virtually defunct - i.e. removing the BVR aspect of a BVR missile. Well I don't believe that the problem(if true) has anything to do with export downgrade - while this was normal conduct during the Soviet era, the exact opposite has been the case in post-Soviet times. The Su-MKI is a good example of this - a dedicated export item that is far more sophisticated than any Flanker variant in Russian service. By the end of the cold war the demand for arms dropped dramatically and with the competition for meeting what little demand remained, downgrading was not exactly a good idea - especially not for India, which traditionally buys from both east and west. As to why India and China are looking to make their own missiles - you could just as well ask why they decided to develop the LCA and J-10 fighters respectively - nations with "super power" aspirations cannot rely on foreign arms imports in the long run. Besides, any nation will try to involve its own industry as much as possible in military acquistions - partially to reduce the immense cost to the country and partially to boost techology standard(possible commercial spin-offs). Well I didn't really look for proof - I was just interested in what info gave you the impression that the RVV-AE should lack datalink :) . Well thats the interesting thing Pilotasso - I suppose that Vympel could have made an "all-Russian" version(only domestic components) of the RVV-AE, but as far as I can tell the recent Su-27SM upgrade involves compatibility with the existing export version.1 point

Yes that is how it works, how I meant it to work. One of you decides to set up a data-link host. Then clients can connect to this hosts to share data. You can keep it password protected if you want and on a separate server computer. Clients will be able to from the MFD to also filter network input and output so that they don't get cluttered when for example one group goes into a fight. I think the filters will be necessary once the network size is above 4 or so. There are also declutter options for datalink, which for example let dlink show only locks, or both locks and scans. ( This is the NDCLT button you see in the pictures in this thread )1 point

Mogas Leavu2 is like an advanced touch buddy complement. You cant run touch buddy on server side and have it displayed on clients, same way with leavu. It is a software for showing instruments.1 point

Honestly I don't convert while flying. The ABRIS has an options page where you can set all manner of things like how close you have to be to a waypoint to step to the next, the XTE scale, North-up vs Route-up, etc. One such option is to change the coordinate format from Minutes' Seconds'' to Minutes.Decimal' which of course matches the PVI's format. Thus all you have to do is round. You can do it every flight or LUA edit to make it that way by default: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=371161 point

Не по крови а по духу рядом брат Мы соладты неба - передовой отряд И пусть не далеко летит моя ракета Я знаю - враг боится наших силуэтов Еще чуть чуть и в небе понесется схватка Мы едины - друг за друга, брат за брата. COMMON PROCEDURE: Navigating in AIR FIELD Task Mode with Route Switch On 1. Illuminate AIR FIELD task light on the PVI-800 panel. 2. Select point number of task point desired (1 is departing airfield, 2 is arriving airfield if different from one.) 3. Place DH/DT switch in position DH or position DT, behavior is the same. 4. Move route-descent switch to ROUTE position to engage autopilot behavior. COMMON PROCEDURE: Navigating in NAV TGT Task Mode with Route Switch On 1. Illuminate NAV TGT task light on the PVI-800 panel. 2. Select point number of task point desired (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 0) 3. Place DH/DT switch in position DH or position DT, behavior is the same. 4. Move route-descent switch to ROUTE position to engage autopilot behavior. COMMON PROCEDURE: Navigating in WPT Task Mode with Route Switch On 1. Illuminate WPT task light on the PVI-800 panel. 2. Select point number of task point desired (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6) OPTION 3a. Place DH/DT switch in position DH to travel point directly to each task point. 3b. Place DH/DT switch in position DT to travel along route lines between points 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, and 5-6. 4. Move route-descent switch to ROUTE position to engage autopilot behavior. Note: WPT Task Mode with Route Switch On is the only task mode that will automatically change the task point to the next; 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, and 5 to 6. After task point 6 the autopilot will fly in a straight line. Note: Any of the above procedures with the route-descent switch in the OFF position will give visual HSI, ADI, and HUD navigation cues but the autopilot will not attempt to fly the helicopter to the task point. Instead it will be the pilot's job to follow the visual indications.1 point
