That's the thing, the longer your lase time, the more likely your munitions will fall short. The LGB wants to fly to the pointer. As lase time increases, your LGB's trajectory gets flatter. There is a great graphic somewhere that explains this pretty clearly, but I can't seem to find it. Here is my awful attempt to duplicate it:2 points

August 1st, 2011 - The most renowned dynamic multiplayer campaign, The Georgian Incident, is set to resume. Featuring multi-squadron operations, turn based strategic maneuvers, resource management and live ground controllers... The Georgian Incident utilizes every asset of the industry leading simulation platforms by Eagle Dynamics: the DCS:KA-50 and Flaming Cliffs 2, to push virtual immersion to it's limits. Each coalition will have the ability to manage resources, relocate and deploy units, draft and execute plans of action - which results in a fully dynamic front-line. For further details on rules and procedures please direct your attention to the attached SOPs. Starting August 1st, squadrons that have actively participated in the previous installment of the campaign, The Crimean Incident, as well as those squadrons that we see active in the community will begin to receive invitation letters for this event. We are also open to review applications from squadrons that wish to participate but did not receive the invitation by August 5th, please direct your attention to our forum(link below). Should Eagle Dynamics develop a compatibility patch for DCS:A-10C, the Georgian Incident campaign will expand to incorporate interested squadrons into the operations. Upon hearing back from all of the invited squadrons and reviewing potential interested squadrons a meeting with officers of each participating squadron will be scheduled to address any concerns and set the campaign start date. Use the CDU. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1126958&postcount=4 warriorx's guide should help.1 point

Oh, for cripe's sake. That will teach me to use a smiley and a bit of humor. I used subtlety in my response to a thread about subtlety...get it? Haha... or not, as is apparently the case. What you call "insistance", I call communicating information about how the real system works. You're welcome, btw.1 point

Hey there. I made the tactical map using Adobe Fireworks. The map itself is created by =MAF=MONGOOSE. :)1 point

Those are simplified wind station models telling wind direction and speeds. A half tick mark is 5 knots, a full is 10. once you get to 50 there is a triangular one that means 50, and so it continues. Kind of like counting where you put four tick marks, then cross it for five, then start new. So, 65 knots would be a triangle with one full tick mark and one half tick mark. This graphic may help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wind_barbs.gif1 point

Hey Everyone, I've made my first DCS A-10C training video available on YouTube in two parts: Part 1: Part 2: The video demonstrates advanced CDU programming, custom CDU approach / flight plan setup and execution, instrument cloud flight, and a challenging zero visibility ILS landing. The video is unedited, unscripted, with all mistakes / thought processes included, and mediocre audio quality. I've added annotations to help explain what's going on. Make sure to watch it in HD. Hope you find the training video interesting.1 point

I understand; but at the same time people have their own preferences as to what they wish to play as well, or well ... a critical eye focused on some particular features - so there will always be debates. Some people like the falcon DC and won't fly anything without it. Others can't be bothered with a realistic clickable cockpit, or even missiles, and fly IL2. Others like it because of historic value ... so I don't think it's right to say that everyone makes things as realistic as possible. There are a few shops that do (and some that try, but fail), but I think for the most part, a lot of products just try to cater to their market. With FSX, IMHO, you're limited by the existing engine which remains as it always has been, though there have been some clever work-arounds. I haven't used the VRS superbug so I can't really judge it anyway. I have the performance charts though, and I'd have judged it by those at minimum if I did have it :) (BTW, you'll enjoy the Hog. You can make that aircraft fail in surprising ways ... try a little too much lateral g and see what happens!)1 point

Did not watch you full track but their is to much wind. Look at your rotor blades before start. Not even RL helicopter would be able to fly in that. What is the wind speed?1 point

He's referring to the added fuselage tank in the D. With the fuselage tank full, the aircraft was borderline unstable in pitch and needed care when manoeuvring. It became very sensitive on the elevator, and prone to overcontrolling. Snap roll is something else, even if it is done through (partially) stalling the aircraft.1 point

What caused the blades to being broken/truncated? Are they ok (external view) when you start the mission? A attached track-file would always be helpful.1 point

Ok, here we go. Made two additional versions of the windshields and packed them all together. the .rar file contains now three folders named "yellow windshields a", "yellow windshields b", "yellow windshields c". Each of them contains the responsitive .dds file you have to put into the "A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip" file of your game. "yellow windshields a" - the original version i released first time "yellow windshields b" - less yellow as in the original version "yellow windshields c" - less yellow as in the b-version (nearly not noticeble yellow) choose the version you like and have fun guys :joystick: btw: grim31, you need Adobe Photoshop and nVidia's dds-plugin for photoshop to be able to edit the files Colored windshields.rar1 point

@ paulrkiii & Nate--IRL-- : Guys, read my whole post :P @ toby23: it's the "A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds" file in the "A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip" wich is located in the folder "Bazar\A-10C\Model\Textures" saved it as DX5 with interpolated alpha. EDIT: Ok, just finished the work. Here it is. Have fun guys. To install just put the unpacked .dds file into the .zip wich of i was talking before edit btw: to make the yellow windshilds more yellowish or less, just edit the alpha channel of the .dds and save the file as "DX5 with interpolated alpha". The darker the color in the alpha is, the less colored the glass will be (perfect black means completely see-through) A-10C-glass-REFLECT.rar1 point
