  1. "Operation Gridiron" (4 or 8 player co-op) Coalition forces have prepared a snatch and grab mission to capture a key insurgent commander that has been behind renewed enemy activity in the region. The enemy commander, codename HUSKER, is believed to be located in a heavily fortified residential and military compound 8 km west of Nalchik. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/110077/ Zip file includes 4 and 8 player MP co-op, plus the maps. Difference in 4 and 8 player is simply volume of targets/threats. Sorry for the long mission brief that's included, but it's a time-on-target, heavily coordinated effort between flights. Total flight time 1.5-2 hrs. Night ops skills a must!

  2. When I´m still on the ground, I start setting my ordnance, so I won´t waste time doing that, when in air. But I don´t want to set bomb by bomb, I mean, I want to set a configuration for ALL the similar bombs, for once. I tried to configure a profile for all the GBU-12, for instance, and change the mode from CCIP to CCRP. After doing that on Profile Page (DSMS) I press SAVE, everything looks fine, and I take off. When I am in the air, and select one of the GBU-12, it is back to CCIP mode. Why? I thought that when I saved this profile (for the GBU-12), all the GBU-12 would be in CCRP mode. Why the program didn´t keep my configuration? What am I doing wrong?

  4. Harzach and cichlidfan have already answered, but I've not said it for a while so...... You're doing it wrong.™ ;) On a serious note, it's a mistake a lot of people make. The DSMS weapon profiles are your friend, and can be a great tool if you use them right. I personally set up anything up to 8 or 9 additional profiles while on the ramp, depending on the mission and the ordnance carried. It's far easier to set up several profiles for all the release parameters you think might be useful rather than adjust on the fly over the target. Better to have options you don't need, than need options you don't have.

  6. When you select a weapon. The name of the profile appears in the hud. When you select by using a DSMS button the profile name will be have 'M/' at the beggining. This is a new manual profile and it's present settings are the defaults for the weapon. This can be useful if all of your 12s, for example, are configured to a particualr profile and a situation comes up where you want something different but don't want to change the whole load.

  11. Why not just adjust the gain level directly using Notepad++? Look for; C:\DCS A-10C\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Engines\EngineTF34GE100InR.sdef and C:\DCS A-10C\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Engines\EngineTF34GE100InL.sdef Example below; wave = "Effects/Aircrafts/Engines/EngineTF34GE100InR" outer_radius = 1000 position = {-7.5, 0.0, 0.5} gain = 0.25 (default is 1.0) I like 0.25 Don't forget to back up your files.

  12. diveplane would you please consider toning down the assumptions you're making? It's pretty rude, seeing as you have no idea what really happened. You're so quick to look for someone to blame in light of a tragedy that has no concrete explanation yet. Very rude.

  13. deployment08_eng.miz Here's my one. Probably the simplest way. Manually put it in the missions\campaigns\bs\en folder and replace the old one. I'm fairly sure it's mission 8 you need.
