I had to ask on this one myself...thanks Wags! See page 229 of the Flight Manual (latest version in 1.1.1.1). SCS is Steer Course Steering. Has to do with a function you can change in the CDU NAV Attributes Sub Page. Applies to waypoints. Start on pg 226, then move to 229-230 for the SCS info. Grab a cup of coffee and be prepared to read this section a few times, I am having trouble wrapping my head around this page.

Read a line in the official updates section. "The next big items are the 3D object tree forests". Does this mean trees will be potent foes now? As in you can crash into them? And not invisible to enemies? Cuz that would be cool. Sorry if this is a repost.

Being on the other end for a change, in an Su-25T and getting hunted by merciless fighter jocks. Offensive: Flying in a fourship of Frog's out of Min Vody, NOE getting deep into enemy territory then splitting up and finding my way through valleys to eventually obliterate Kobuleti SAM systems. Defensive: RTB trying to avoid the enemy air nails inbetween me and home, low on fuel, then I have a close encounter with some bandits where I fortunately manage to lose my hunters, feeling safe and on a clear run home they eventually find me, though i'm unaware that i'm now being ghosted by a couple of EOS using bandits for a couple of minutes, then I get the dreaded full strength air spike on my six quickly followed by a launch warning, looked over my shoulder while tring to notch and chaff then see a second silent launch, so flared like a mutha getting ready with 73's for some potential scissor action but underestimated my opponent and got my wing sliced off by cannon fire. Quick eject, brushed myself down, then caught an Ikarus home. Super fun, thanks to 104th for putting on the show.

Про скорость на ИЛС и шквал из твоего поста: На ИСЛ отображается истинная скорость, а на шквале приборная. На больших высотах и скоростях разница может достигать больших значений.

If you look in ...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Bazar\Terrain\A-10C\Maps\TAD_COLLECTION.zip you can find all the maps that are in the TAD. With a bit of photoshop work you can easily map up some maps. (You'll need the dds plugin from Nvidia to open the dds files) There was a web site with the maps.. but i has just closed. (http://poehali.org/maps)

X-Plane is very much a sandbox of flying fun, just like MSFS out of the box. You and alter, add and remove all you like and the user generated content is where the product can really shine. Still waiting for my copy to arrive. ;)

Thanks Peter. I had seen that link previously but I was not originally able to make the connection from one monitor to two. After a closer look, I was able to get the ABRIS and Shkval to not be displayed in the cockpit and just on my second monitor but this did not yield any frame rate differences, unfortunately. I guess once the displays are computed, it does not make any difference if the program draws them once or twice. I can see how the single monitor, HUD only view with the ABRIS and Shkval being displayed would yield a frame rate increase, however. So, do you have a good link on how I can get other instruments on my second monitor? Да что у вас за проблемы с триммером? Всё ж просто - есть ФФ - радуемся, нет ФФ- включаем ожидание возврата в ноль и, опять же, радуемся. Нажали триммер,отпустили - и спокойно вернули джой в центр (хоть через минуту). Ни кивков, ни перетриммирований... Столько страниц в теме извели на несуществующую проблему.
