"Полетав" некотрое время в этом симуляторе, решил поглубже изучить модель. Заинтересовала меня резервная курсовертикаль HARS. Ну что ж, раз интересно - будем изучать и экспериментировать. Скриншоты не получилоось вставить по этой же причине. Для тех, кому лень все это читать, приведу здесь краткую суть. По моим наблюдениям, в модели не реализовано: 1) собственный уход курсового гироагрегата HARS; 2) собственный уход гировертикали HARS; 3) работа ручки подстройки курса (HDG); 4) вращение Земли и широтная коррекция HARS. Хотелось бы узнать у разработчиков, действительно ли этого нет, или я плохо смотрел? Ну и вопросы, возникшие в ходе издевательств над моделью: 1) какая скорость согласования курсового гироагрегата с магнитным дачтиком в обычном и ускоренном режимах (в Руководстве насчет второго есть упоминание - от 10 до 100 раз быстрее - но сколько в цифрах); 2) как перевести отклонение стрелки согласованности на панели HARS в градусы; 3) почему есть упоры у ручки подстройкеи курса (HDG); 4) есть ли выключатель продольной коррекции на гировертикали HARS; 5) сколько всего гироскопов входи в состав HARS (предполагаю, что 2).1 point

Firstly, it has been 18 years since I have logged on to a DEC Alpha so if you can forgive that I will continue with the answer :) OK, this is the plan, loosely as it is right now. I will offer these panels for sale. It may not come in at a cost the people are happy with - or it could, it's yet to be determined. I am very mindful when talking about selling products about the possibility of getting bogged down for inadequate compensation. That has happened to me with my warthog extender. I liked it so much and others asked that I decided I would sell some and I priced it in an entirely wrong way. I was offering it to hobbyists and I wanted you guys to have it so I priced it based on what you would pay for it. To be clear, I didn't price it at what is the maximum people would pay for it. I tried to price it as low as I could without it costing me money to make. This meant that I had to make them at odd times and often put it off if the machines were tied up with other work. They gave me headaches at times because a part might be on a machine and I needed the machine for something else but I can't just remove the incomplete piece, I had to finish it before I could use the machine for something else. Sure, it still cost money but that was my 'contribution' if you could call it that to the community. To sell panels I need to take a more traditional approach, I don't want to offer a product that has to go on the back burner all the time while more profitable work takes priority so I will have to price it more realistically. That way everyone who is willing to pay will be better off. Better support, better products and low/no waiting times. I am lucky to have the equipment to design and develop the product end to end (I outsource the pcb's and depending on complexity I get them to also populate all SMD components). I do the electronics design, the software on the MCU and the PC and the manufacturing. With the new laser I can cut out and engrave over 140 radio's in one job and it's all within my own business. I probably have the best chance of anyone to be able to create these at reasonable costs and in the interests of my own cockpit I don't mind throwing some money here to see what happens. Now, as to your other questions. Helios is a very good program and unless I replace my entire pit with real panels I will continue to use it. My hardware will certainly work along side helios but I could not say that helios would support my hardware saving you another piece of software running on your machine. You may or may not know that Gadroc is also working on his own hardware interface for wiring in panels. I talked with Gadroc early on about this but I never went down that path for a couple of reasons. Not because I didn't agree with how he was doing things but because of different technologies and timeframes. Gadroc is using arduino but I am used to working with MCU's in a more traditional way and Gadroc has to work on this in his timeframes which is entirely understandable but I can't tie myself to other people timeframes. I plan on making my panels very open to anyone who would want to use them or develop them for use on other simulators. This was one of my big problems with the goflight gear I owned that it was so closed and proprietary with it's interface. I am not sure their API to this day supports all the panels they sell. On the other hand I want to make it very easy to send and receive information from my panels. There are two ways I plan on doing this. Letting people talk directly to the panels via tcp/ip to set display values and receive updates from switches etc and the other is to be able to create plugins for a middleware piece of software that will mediate between the simulator and the panels. I want to be able to reuse as much as I can and this will keep costs down by only having two or three pcb designs that can handle any panel in any aircraft. This way you can plug in the faceplate to the pcb and tell the pcb what you have plugged in , e.g. an a10 radio or an UFC. I hope by doing this that if there is demand I can more easily create the front panels for a variety of different aircraft. The MCU's I am using support CAN or controller area network so I will probably have two kinds of boards. One that supports panels without displays, these will not have a usb or ethernet interface but will connect via the can interface to some sort of master. This can save on costs by running a cheaper MCU without ethernet/usb. So, I will do my best to develop something that is affordable while making enough profit that I can be committed to it. Looking to become a UAV Pilot in the civilian sector. Previous Army NCO, civilian contractor now working in Afghanistan. Was curious about what needs to happen, what training I would need, where is the training, ect. Google has not been my friend as I have been researching for some time now. I noticed University of North Dakota has a 4 year program, but I was looking for more of a trade school? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. Eric1 point

Are you using a ONCE or SWITCHED condition to trigger the arty when the appropriate flag for the arty is set? Also remember it will take around 3 mins for them to start firing again after they have stopped. You should have something like ONCE -> UNIT ALIVE(host/player) -> add radio "start arty" flag 1, add radio "stop arty" flag 2 SWITCHED condition -> FLAG 1 ON -> FLAG 1 OFF, FLAG 50 ON, FLAG 99 OFF, message "start arty" SWITCHED condition -> FLAG 2 ON -> FLAG 2 OFF, FLAG 50 OFF, FLAG 99 ON, AI TASK arty/-fire at point, msg "stop arty" In the arty groups fire at point instruction there will be a stop condition, tick the flag option and put in the value 99. BTW you may have to remove the 2mins 30 timing stop condition (I cant remember if the logical on the conditions is OR or AND. Try it and see).1 point

This program is a windows program an will not run on smartphones or tablets. At the moment we have only implemented to export the data via Excel, but it should be no big problem to save the data for example as CSV file or another text based format if you wish to write a program for a tablet or smartphone for displaying the data. One big restriction we have at the moment is, that we can´t interpreted the dynamic weather, only static weather is implemented.1 point

ЛОГС и все прочее из этой оперы интересно боевым применением в первую очередь. Все остальное уже давно заманьячено в полный рост: Можно щелкать кнопочками и крутить ручки сколько угодно. И даже все работает. Если лень самому клепать себе кокпит, можно прикупить готовое: И даже по сетке народ летает по всему миру, с динамической погодой и живыми диспетчерами. И даже военные самолеты есть, даже многоместные: Все там есть, нет только одного: боевого применения. За чем мы тут, собственно, и тусуемся. Пока :smilewink:1 point

The subject was beaten to death in another thread (I'm on my iPhone, so I'm not going to search for a link), but the long and short of it is, the pitch and roll bars are presently acting as repeaters of the deviation needles. That is, they show the angular deviation from the centerline of the localizer and glideslope paths. What they SHOULD do, is provide pitch and roll steering commands that if followed, will establish or maintain the desired path. It is literally a "dual-cue flight director", google it for pics and video. At various points of DCS development, they worked properly albeit with incorrect sensitivity. Since then, they've turned into simple repeaters. It's a known issue, but I have no idea when or if it will be addressed.1 point

too many games yeah, but this just leapt above everything else requiring attention and it will probally stay there for ages (untill better or similar is released) its got a balance to it that seems never ending in theory, its actually phenominal that they have created 361 RL relativly realistic units over 2 factions that actually play together well in a game format. in terms of scope too i reckon it beats SC2. the ranked number 1 player is this chap Tigga. heres his live stream. makes for better watching than my television does. http://www.livestream.com/tgapples getting a patch tonight to fix a few urgent issues, but what has been confirmed is comp stomp. thats coop v AI ! cant wait. modding tools also.1 point

И будет жить пока в ДКС будет моделироваться летающий антиквариат:). Хотя, учитывая, какое значение для ЕД имели симуляторы Фланкер и Локон, ДКС должен продолжать их традиции, а не идти наперекор. Всё же сейчас Локон "лидер", а не ДКС. Я Локон когда-то покупал точно не из-за того, что в 2012-м на основе этого движка поршневик сделают. Почитал тему из ветки симуляторы, получается, что лучший выбор на тему СБА на сегодняшний момент - это Фалькон4 BMS. ДКС намного опережает по атмосфере из-за динамических кампаний и истребителя, а Локон по реалистичности. Так что ЕД надо делать аналог. Реактивный истребитель ДКС, да с онлайном из ЛО2/3 - вот что нужно. Ну а там уже дополнять серию другими современными истребителями, штурмовиками, вертолётами. P.S. Но пока Фалькон скачивать не тороплюсь, там ведь нет Су-27:). Тут ЕД твёрдые монополисты.1 point

:D Cheapest bidder, not best product. If I tell you, buy 10 engine for the prices of 5 of the competition and they produce the same power. Which one would you get? If I offer more supports, services and parts ( because I know that it is less reliable, but I neglect to tell you that) Which one seem more beneficial? All joking aside, many aircraft use PW engines with no problems, I just don't like them.
