Can't believe this lol I've just posted the exact same solution having been pulling my hair out all week! I created a batch file to automate it.the 'ImagesShop' folder.bat

On Boxing day I thought I would upgrade the nvngx.dlss.dll file located in the “bin-mt” folder, having read that it might improve the graphics. That decision took on major consequences and might have just been a co-incidence, but there after DCS would hang after a few seconds at the loading page. I was completely stumped as to what maybe stopping DCS from loading correctly. I did all the usual and got rid of mods and anything extra that I had used for DCS to no avail. A full repair, uninstall and reinstall of the program did not rectify it. A reinstall of win11 did not fix it. A full internet search for the next few days did not come up with the answer although numerous solutions were offered. I also deleted the “Saved Games “ folder which fixed the snag but I did not know why. I installed my backup “Saved Games” folder and the problem returned. I found and old install file for 2.5. and tried that. The game came up and seemed to operate ok, probably a false dawn! I had a backup nvme drive and ripped apart my computer and installed that to see if that would work. Nope same problem. I intermittently carried on searching the internet, DCS forums and Discord chat rooms looking for an answer. Eureka! I then found a reddit post that had the headline [Open Beta] Crash/Freeze in Start Screen [with Fix?] this was 5 years old with no comments below it. Today I installed the latest version of the beta, 2.5.6.43503. When I start the game with or without admin rights,the game loads into starting screen, music starts playing then stops and the windows error 'dcs not responding' comes up. I waited 30min+ but it didn't recover. I then started searching the web and came to the solution to delete the [...]\saved games\dcs.openbeta folder. This worked. I then started to investigate what exactly is causing the crash (deleted file for file and tested for the crash). Now the result is that deleting the 'ImagesShop' folder will fix the crash. DCS will recreate the folder + content and work just fine. I have now created a batch file to remove the file before every start of DCS. My question is why is this happening now and does anyone have a solution other than me running a batch file before every game? It took another few days to get my mods back working and getting DCS to run as before. A bonus to all this effort got my stream decks working faster after they inexplicably slowed right down, a consequence of re installing win 11 I think, so every cloud has a silver lining!

A bit late now as I took it apart looking for anything obvious. (Bits still intact but now in a box) but hopefully a fix for others.

Re Jet seat snag; I have all the internals in a box after mine stopped working, I don't know why it stopped working but your welcome to them to try and fix yours if you want. I'm in the UK.

I have the same file whose folder path for the file (sceneVR.lua) for me is F:\OvGME MOD Manager\DCS Root Installation\Empty_VR_Hangar\Scripts\DemoScenes. Is your path similar?

A manual start up is very easy once you have done it a couple of times. Perhaps the easiest in DCS as far as I'm concerned. Also using a mod called "The Way" really helps with the nav inputs, makes life very simple.

There is no macro sequencies lua file in the Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\Hercules ver 6.8.2\Cockpit\Scripts folder. This because the start sequence for the engines and APU are difficult to replicate. This I gleaned from others who have tried to create an auto start mechanism. As to why it is, is completely out of my knowledge base.

Don't quote me but my Macro_sequencies.lua's for auto start and stop are in the DCS root folder. The Anubis mod is in the saved games folder which does not have that file.

I had a problem with my FC3 airframes with no control bindings, turned out it was DCS-Input-Command-Injector-Quaggles mod that was causing the snag.

I am showing 6 available too. Additionally I have no controls for the former FC3 modules at all. The controls page is completely blank for my A10A. I can select the airframe in my mission that has it but can do absolutely nothing with it. Just stare out the cockpit window. I have no controls apart from the Esc key to get me out. Any thoughts anyone? Problem regarding no controls sorted by disabling DCS-Input-Command-Injector-Quaggles mod.

A couple of years and almost daily use, a few hours at a time.

I've had the jetseat from Andre and whilst I agree it is stronger in the vibration effects it is I find uncomfortable to sit on for long periods. I also bumped it up with extra padding with little detrimental effect to the vibrations. It has now failed and will not connect. So if anyone wants any spares from it let me know soon. I now have the HF8 which is a lot weaker in vibration effects but I can sit on it alot longer. With it being weaker (even with maxed out settings, using Andres software) I find it's not overly intrusive and for me the background vibrations are more subtle.
