  1. Yes, the background is supposed to extend onto the other monitor.
  2. Ouch! At least both engines remained functional.
  3. This is DCS. I suggest you re-consider that assumption.:D I'm not old enough to drink yet, but ok. You're on!
  4. That would be EPIC!!! Carrier ops, ground attack, sneak in some air to air, all behind a big, basa$$ radial engine.:weight_lift_2: But what about the air to air missiles that it carried in the test program?
  5. lolz!:megalol:
  6. That is a signals intelligence plane, sort of like a US Navy P-3 ARIES II: Or a USAF/NATO E-3: As for the particular plane in question, I have no idea what types of sensors are in the large housing on the top, but my guess would be some sort of side-looking radar. Seeing as how it is basically a spy plane, I doubt any of use will ever know exactly what's in there.
  7. I can't wait for the epic awesomeness!!! But I promised myself that I wouldn't fly it until my simpit is complete. Argggh!!!! :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:
  8. LOL!!:D Soooooooooo many double meanings!
  9. Good job +1 for effort!
  10. The monitor configs are lua files.
  11. If I may chime in with my 2 cents, what file editor are you using? Something like Notepad++ is needed. There are others out there, but I can't remember their names. Maybe that is the issue?:dunno:
  12. No problem! I guess I missed the second one.
  13. Oh, and ArphytwoCma, in your signature, the word "University" should be changed to "Universe." Just a little translation error, but it makes a world of difference in the meaning!
  14. A missed approach is basically instrument-flying speak for a go-around or aborted landing. It means that you end the landing attempt before touching down, and climb away for another attempt.
  15. It was installed backwards. It was indicating fast when he was slow. In the vid you can hear the LSO telling him to correct his speed. The pilot followed his AoA meter, as he should have, and ended up in the region of reversed command.
  16. Almost complete CDU for 10 bucks if you can export it to the screen. EDIT: Oh, that's a trackpad. Derp...
  17. I hope you can dim that backlight. If you can, that will look bada$$ in a simpit environment.
  18. That is true as well. The flight plan can be loaded during the startup, as hinted in the 2nd producer's note. IDK if it can be edited at the UFC or MFDs.
  19. I know that there is some capability to interact with the CDU from the MFDs and UFC, but I don't know the extent of that interaction. It's probably up to your realism goal if you're gonna put in or not.
  20. :megalol: Can't forget the LGB's either, they need a laser spot all the way down!:D
  21. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep(lock tone).........Fox three!
  22. From the thread title, I thought at first that it was going to be questionable content.:music_whistling::D

    My GOD, man!
  24. FSUIPC can do some pretty cool stuff. I doubt it will be a limiting factor in implementing what RthuR wants to do.
  25. The facility for a HUD-only view already exists in FC2 and BS, so there is no reason to doubt that it will present in DCSW. What would be even cooler is if we simpit builders could export the HUD to a screen of its own to project onto a piece of glass.
