  4. Ha, that's a new one on me. What file?
  5. What, I thought everybody tested their HUD before taking off.:music_whistling:
  6. It says Eagle Dynamics!
  7. 100% percent agreed If you go too fast, you'll end up like this guy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lyosJvU_ec
  8. And cake! http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazing/Birthday-Cake.jpg
  9. Well, using higher than normal speeds can get you in trouble as well. I would say to bring it up to a safe altitude and see exactly what seed the max performance tone comes on. Also, when the gear is down, the AoA indexer comes on, and you can just use that to fly the approach right on target.
  10. On the A-10, there is a detent at the lower limit of travel. Lifting the throttle up and over the detent opens or closes the fuel valve, depending on which way you move it. This is to prevent shutting down the engines without intending to while selecting idle. The detent at the upper end of the range is for afterburners, which of course, the A-10 does not have. That one is there so you can use it with other planes. He demonstrated how to remove the upper detent, which is how it's configured in the A-10. No pedals and no FFB in this system. Yes it is very expensive! EDIT: Damn! I type too much.
  11. Ahh, OK. Using the streams of air sounds reasonable. Using sound seems interesting.
  12. Are you referring to something like shape-shifting materials without hinges?
  13. The vodka burner is rolling!
  14. IDK about the first two, but the Typhoon has a movable lower lip that moves down at high AoA.
  15. But that one needed to be on ice. The Japanese one did it on dry pavement.
  16. Same deal here, only with an IL-76:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If-Puo94pWk
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. You can add the F-22 and F-35 to that list as well, no? EDIT: argh, beaten to it.
  19. The Mavericks would be the closest thing you have to a SEAD payload. Other aircraft with radar usually fulfill that role.
  20. Active/automatic coordination from the yaw SAS channels. And then your feet when the fancy auto stuff stops working.

  22. Well, I'm aware that cost is a major issue for some people, so I am going to make "kits" of sorts. Not the whole pit, but say, the upfront control panel and the CDU, for example. Or just the CDU. All the way up to the entire tub, panels, and a working HUD that has yet to be designed. I'm also going to make individual instruments. Mechanical ones, not screens:D. It's gonna be a lot of work, but as haws been said before, if you want it bad enough, you will find a way to get it.:pilotfly:
