  1. When you first start just hold the stick with your finger and thumb. This usually helps prevent the over controlling that most have to start with.
  2. Kind of linked but it would be nice if when the target list is up Georges view was zoomed in as if he was targeting, that would make it easier to ID (and prevent Blue on Blue) when selecting.
  3. Yeah I’ve also noted the FLIR chevrons still appear in the HUD even through the FLIR is dead.
  4. Have you checked your engine RPM switch is set to LOW?
  5. Ahh yeah I’d forgotten they could be fitted with the FMU-140 although in that case would they still have the PR/OP wires? I didn’t think they had the two fusing wires when used with 140s.
  6. I’ve never understood this answer as the MK20 has a mechanically timed fuse (not a barometric or RADALT) according to all the references I’ve found online.

    GR.7/GR.9

I’d love to see this happen but I’m not holding my breath. Until the. I’ll be found flying the current model in one of the excellent U.K. skins found in the library.
  8. Splash damage isn't as effective as it could be in DCS but the big issue is AI ground forces will still take extremely acurate shots back at you even as the world explodes around them. In reality APCs/tanks would be buttoned right down with very limited visibility if ever there was a threat of attack helicopters in the area let alone unguided rockets exploding all around.
  9. We’re just waiting on the patch to drop for us plebs
  10. Because a Cold Jet would always be chocked? Quite frankly I’m surprised this isn’t the default cold start settings for all DCS aircraft.
  11. Is it just me or is sling loading in the Hip far more unstable than in the Huey when flying on multiplayer servers? I have no issues using CTLD with the Huey slinging SAMs etc but in the Hip I’m always breaking the rope. I have no issue with the Hip in single player missions.
  12. Yeah TACAN distance is showing in feet o the HUD for me too after the recent patches. It’s making me learn my 6 times table ????????????
  13. Indeed, Vlof one of those speeds engineers worry about. Generally speaking as pilots of multi engine aircraft we only concern ourselves with V1, Vr and V2 (Vref and Vrot in military aircraft I believe). I’ve not found any takeoff (or landing) performance data for any of the modules in the documentation so we just give it out best guess and hope for the best. In answer to the original poster whilst it does need a lot of aft stick initially it doesn’t seem excessive to me. It’s also not unusual to have to modulate this throughout the rotation and into the initial climb. You don’t just set one amount of stick and forget it.

    Members age?

47 only started DCS when my furlough started in March. Been simming in one form or another since I got my C64 back in the day.
  15. Just get a cheep mountain bike and spend the rest on your rig. The mountain bike will help offset the sitting around playing DCS ????

    80’s skins

Hi All, I’ve only recently got the A-10C II and absolutely love the aircraft. The Thunderbolt II has always been an aircraft I’m interested in ever since Visiting RAF Bentwaters as an air cadet and crawling over the A-10As back in the day. I know it’s not accurate but I was wondering if there are any skins available in the old ‘Europe I’ colour scheme?

    PTT

Hi all, I’m new to the Gazelle but not so new to DCS and I’m struggling to find a PTT keybind? Does one exist? I’m guessing on the real aircraft it would be on either the collective or cyclic? the reason I ask is I use the ‘Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT’ function in SRS which works great in every other module. Will I have to go back to SRS hotkeys whenever I fly Gazza online??
  19. Is there any chance of getting the option to move the default kneeboard that doesn’t stuff the integrity check? Because of my multi monitor set up it displays on my MFD screens and is unusable. A simple left/right option would solve this for me but whenever I try to do it by editing LUAs it fails the integrity check.
  20. Hi All, I have a multi-monitor set up with exported MFD’s etc and because of this I lose the use of the kneeboard because it renders in the bottom right of the DCS viewport. I’ve done a bit of research and found there was a simple way of moving it to the bottom left by simply changing a false to true in the init.lua in scripts/aircraft/_common/cockpit/kneeboard this works great if you only fly single player. Alas for multiplayer (which I fly 95% of the time) this solution doesn’t work as it fails the integrity check. After much searching around it seems that most solutions for moving this useful thing seem to suffer the same issue. Does anyone know of a solution that will enable be to move it into view and still pass the integrity check? Thanks in advance.
  21. Hmm I must be doing something wrong here then. Let me try again.
  22. I’d hoped this would solve all my problems with my multi screen setup for my Huey but it seems to have caused it to fail the IC for MP. Has anyone managed to get it working with the latest OB?
  23. It’s definitely a speed thing with the flap and water switches. Move them to quickly and it’ll stick in the middle position. Don’t have this issue on any three position switches in other modules. It doesn’t require a long pause between Auto and STOL (or the other way) but you can’t just flick it from cruise to STOL.
  24. Did you save a track file? The Harrier needs more respect than the FBW jets as the only protection it has from departing controlled flight Is the pilot. Smooth initial control inputs are essential, you can’t just bank and yank it like a Hornet.
