    Rest in peace

  2. Not a fan of this flying pen but all the preview sounded amazing. I'm interested now. :)
  3. I don't have that.
  4. Excellent idea, Cap, but we don't really need measurements as that tube is most likely 1" in diameter.
  5. They asked for your track because in it, you're the one flying. What you wrote there is like asking me to go to the doctor instead of you for coughing. I may cough to call a bullshit while you might have asthma. Who knows. Yeah the same issue could have been caused by several different things. Resurfacing the break rotors took care of the squeaks on my car but doesn't mean it will for yours. So for you, the tail wheel doesn't lock even when you pull back the stick to its limit? Well, mine does lock but I still had trouble taking off. Would my tracks have solved your problem?
  6. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/12/robin-williams-soldiers-turn-backs-kuwait-video_n_5672050.html
  7. I've always wondered if AI is effected by G at all or even a little. Perfect energy management, yes, Yo-Yo confirmed it. Ignoring damages is pretty obvious i.e. merrily taxiing to runway then take off while being pruned by 6x.50cal from above. :D Another thing to remember is ED do listen to feed backs. They toned down the 190 AI amazing energy display, so there is hope for the Bis AI.
  8. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing, man.
  9. Oh captain my captain.. His best movie.
  10. I fly with no pedals; just Z and X. To top it off the stick base is on a stack of books so I have to reach down to move throttle. What I do is lock the tail wheel. Advance the throttle as fast as I could to 2500 then I man the Z and X keys. Take off every time now. Landing on the other hand...
  11. You're right.
  12. Seriously, no one thought to ask him about the bar? An email explaining the crisis that lasted some 10 years, and ask that one question. Please do that. Shut some people up at least.
  13. In the RAF or USMC, yes. :D I'm pretty sure one would have to join up to have access to a two seat trainer. They call them thing window maker ya know. :P
  14. How and who is going to train some rich dude to fly a widow maker? Nobody. You can forget about flying that thing if you've never flown one in the Corps etc. Ahh the other private own harrier in the states is owned by USMC test pilot. http://www.wjla.com/articles/2013/06/former-marine-test-pilot-flies-private-harrier-jump-jet-in-airshows-89784.html
  15. I actually had to think which one I wanted more. Yes, either one is fine by me. :D But...I think they ought to do justice to the plane and the community that help put them on the map. Anyone remember original Flanker? :P You can bet that ED or BST are making one. My money on BST. :P
  16. In English would be nice. I'd like to know as well.
  17. Thanks, wish they'd stick an info page and post something that vital in it.
  18. It must be dejavu for people who bought P-51D. Yo-Yo explained that the AI simply manages energy to perfection; does not make mistakes. We'll just have to wait for manned Bis.
  19. Yeah, the X52 is the what you want for DCS sim. You'll need all those buttons and dedicate throttle. You'll need a set of rudder pedals for precision flying as well. Whatever you decide on you will want to do this. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2050476&postcount=1
  20. All that engineering geniuses and they left out the most basic, fundamental function in an aircraft. We'll let the Yanks have their aileron and rudder trims. The Führer was adamant about not having our boys bobbing up and down on long flights! Sigh...
