Few people are having tunnel vision here. This wariness didn't just spring out because he missed a dateline or two. It's not even about his lack of communication, screenshots, updates etc. Unlike Luthier's old cult, I like to think the majority of people here are mature professionals with supermodel-like wives and children. The problem we have is we feel he doesn't care for someone who keeps hammering how much he loves aviation and simulation in those fund drive videos. He was constantly on the bullhorn at the start of the Kick campaign but once he got what he was after, the first goal, his effort staved off. Remember that? Towards the end of the drive when it was apparent the campaign wasn't gaining much interest, many of the backers were practically begging him to rewrite his rewards and to add Paypal in the hope of attracting more backers. Remember the apology he made for disappearing after the first goal was in the bag? Oh dear, I'm just terrible at marketing and I was even scolded by people at ED; he reappeared to reassured his backers. Then there is that dark time where his staff was ill and one fell in the ice or something, something so there's not much to show. :D I don't know...

As much as I want one of these, I'm definitely not buying it anytime soon. I saw a vid someone playing DCS with an Oculus, so apparently it works with DCSW.

Will the people that have bought the development kit get discount when the retail unit is released? How does this work? Man, I have conditioned myself not to get too excited about anything that looks to cost more than my shitty assault moped. :D The last time I have an urge to buy a piece of tech gadget was when I was living in the US some 9 years ago. I tried to suppress the urge by not watching any more Oculus video demos etc but I keep coming back to this thread for news. I WANT THIS! hehe

Just curious but if you're farsighted then wouldn't everything be blurry with the screen inches from your eyeballs? These units look pretty heavy but I guess they're not?

Has anyone tried this while wearing glasses? I know their FAQ said a unit comes with replacement lenses but I'd like to hear from user who wear glasses while using one of these.

Great. After updating DCSW to latest version, am getting the same error as DCSW Open Beta. This seems to be a regular thing for every update. sigh

Repair and removing DCS Open beta folder in saved games did not work.

Man, I would love to hang them on ceiling corners to keep other bugs away. lol Seriously spiders are great, man, and I welcome them. A few made my bathroom and kitchen their dining room. There's a huge one on the ceiling corner looking down at me when I'm on the stool. :D A few months ago my wife witnessed one of the spiders killed a cockroach in our kitchen. We have those big roaches, too. That was just too awesome.
