So isn't that the same as comparing cheap on board to dedicated card? I listened to the virtual barbershop with on-board audio and jogging headphones, and I still get the amazing 3d illusion. That's the point those two guys were trying to convey isn't it? Did you read the blog by NwAvGuy?

I know exactly what to fill in those dots. I just cannot go back to SFM after ED gave us the taste of their AFM in FC Frogfoot. In fact, I couldn't and still can't get into any other sim since. Fast mover AFM ought to be called a widower maker. :D I'm getting a divorce fo sure. haha Exactly. :) One sunny morning long, long time ago I drove past Van Nuys airport, and there they were on the taxi way. Two F-15s waiting to take off. Man, I hit that brake like a man possessed and ran with my claws extended. No one gonna peel leafer off that fence. lol That sound! Those pilot if they saw me probably laughed their asses off. Awesome!

Oohh I love wireframe. I wish ED would post models with their wireframe so we can see how the pro work their topology.

I gave up on x-plane very long time ago. I'm no pilot but the feeling of flight just wasn't there for me. People still rave about how accurate the fm is so on and so fourth, and I was never quite sure if it was just me. I remember flying some of the heavies and they didn't feel heavy. Thanks for your explanation.

I'm sure he'd rather have lived another 40 years but he did say "If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling.". The fact that a lot of people, me included, never heard of his charitable work before his death says a lot about the man. Unlike a lot of celebs who bring their own film crew to film them giving. He was a cool cat.
