  1. It took a while, although in fairness I tried 3 different shader mods, some took longer than others. One of them took forever to load. Can't remember if this one took a long time or not. If it didn't, should I delete the shaders folder and try again? Any other folders I have to worry about? Thanks for the response.
  2. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Installed via OvGME like all other mods. I disabled all other mods and enabled this. I don't notice any difference in fps on my baseline test map (Marianas with UH-1) in VR. Was hoping to squeeze some more frames.
  3. also wondering if people are using this mod with most recent version.
  4. This would be nice, but as ED mentioned, I'd prefer multi-threaded support. I'm CPU limited by a country mile with a 20% OC'd 5900x while my 3090 doesn't break a sweat.
  5. In order for this to duplicate a real F-86 you would need a three way switch which few controllers have. F-86 has a speedbrake In (down), out (up) and hold (neutral) position on the throttle, so anyone without a three way switch they want to assign to the F-86 will not be able to duplicate the real life functionality of the aircraft. With so many aircraft having a speedbrake "toggle", many (including myself) have assigned a single button to speedbrake which facilitates speedbrake on/off in a single press. regardless of my ability to keep this button with a modifier (speed brake on with press and off with modifier + press), I prefer to have a toggle because it makes it the same across all aircraft. Not all of us can remember how to fly 30 different aircraft and would like to keep the HOTAS setup for the basic flight controls as similar across all the platforms as possible even if it doesn't simulate the real aircraft controls exactly. This allows me to play DCS more than I'm learning DCS which is always a struggle/balance that I can't ingnore. Thats all. +1 for the toggle Bump.
  6. Maybe, I don't know. I just know that I can no longer bind the change seat to my controller. I used to flip back and forth pretty quick to control the co-pilot as gunner, or use the extra visual space on the floor to look at a landing spot. I'll have to google what orange colour means in the controller binding area. That may give me some insight.
  7. Don't have that headset so it doesn't affect me, but I am using G2 with OpenXR. Using a combination of FFR and FSR have changed this game for me. I'm getting 40-60 fps with high/ultra settings on a 3090 in VR now. This was impossible before OpenXR for me. To be clear, it wasn't even close. I just want to throw a huge thanks to @mbucchia for his efforts. Much appreciated.
  8. I don't understand what this update does. Since this update I can no longer bind my controls to switch seats. I can use 1 and 2 on the keyboard which is difficult in VR, but my control setup shows 2 sets of options for switching seats that are both coloured orange for some reason. One set I can bind my controls to (but it doesn't work) and the other set (which I assume is the "new" method) that it will not allow me to bind controls to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I like to assign the left and right seat positions to one of the hat switches to quickly switch between them.
  9. Also, flying an MI-8 over the Ukraine is now free, and you can fire ordinance.
  10. I realize this has been previously reported, but that was a year ago. I notice in the change log this aircraft hasn't received an update in at least a year... year and a half if you don't count the single sound update. Has this aircraft been abandoned? I'm not much of a complainer and realize DCS is an enthusiast platform that you must take with a grain of salt for some items, but IMO the directional gyro's ability to rotate it is part of the flight mechanics. Makes it much more difficult to navigate without being able to center a current heading.
