  1. Love the fact they are being watched on CCTV, news channels double as security tape - another money saving scheme - China sure have their economics sorted :D
  2. Surely whilst it's flying as a plane it would be fine? would need a lot of trim but otherwise fine, right?
  3. Clue: unlock terrain restrictions on the view settings
  4. By the way, the guy who uploaded those youtube videos 'SGalbincea' may not be the culprit - he may have found these edited videos on the website of the person who took the credit then uploaded them thinking he was the original director.
  5. I downloaded about twenty military field manuals the other day, some of which were interesting others not but one I thought you might like was the US army attack helicopter operations guide. Linked it on rapidshare for anyone interested (7.5MB) http://rapidshare.com/files/24482060/US_Army_FM_1-112_Attack_Helicopter_Operations.pdf.html Although its designed primarily for the AH-64 and AH-1 some of the tactics starting from chapter 3 onward could be applicable to many 'choppers including Black Sharks.
  6. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3a3_1175557737 Is the wind headed towards them? because to me that landing looked slow and steep as if they descended within that space using the additional lift. Also am i correct in thinking this airport is the one thats now closed?
  7. Well it's fun and I enjoy it as well as LOMAC, and so do plenty of others.
  8. 'Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation takes air combat warfare to new heights as it boasts the new "Dynamic Operation System" where massive battles unfold on a "living battlefield," as up to six independent land, sea or air conflicts can break out at any time at multiple locations as allies and enemies clash in real-time.' IGN Thats another thing you won't see in LO-MAC for a long time either.
  9. There was a HOTAS for AC4 and Yes while it was unrealistic to fly it really wasn't that bad you were able to stall and such nor was it intended to be realistic, but more importantly it was a hell of a lot of fun to play. AC4 is definitely one of my most favorite games ever, based entirely on its level of fun (realism is only a factor when a game intends to be realist) The only problem was that most gamers (uneducated :P) thought it was a realistic simulation and thus boring, whilst most flight simmers thought it was arcadey and thus broken/wrong/whatever and had a condescending view of it. Try it is all I can say.
  10. 'Real Deal' is a phrase - e.g. (talking about guitars here) A: I got my new Gibson guitar today B: I bet it is just another Korean made rip off again A: No, you are wrong! it is the 'real deal' this time, a true American made guitar. B: Wow! (Not that the Korean guitars are necessarily worse, only I hear this type of conversation a lot on another forum)
  11. He was replying to my suggestion that the plane might only have been built for the sole purpose of being used to demonstrate the technology of Russian aircraft - by 'Real Deal' he is implying it was built for a real purpose i.e. to be used in the Russian Navy as a combat aircraft. Hope that makes sense
  12. Another technology demonstrator maybe? e.g. the S-37/Su-47
  13. Don't worry I realised right away :P
  14. http://www.google.com/tisp/
  15. Call it a challenge instead
  16. Ha when you said 'new flight sim for 2008' I thought you were referring to Black Shark :P
  17. Those ARE mods on that BVR webpage. There aren't that many mods as the host is only hosting his own mods i.e. the ones he made - lockonfiles links everyones mods.
  18. Would explain the limp pose when the parachute deployed but in the scene where the camera is positioned where the joystick could be you see the hands grappling about a bit - unless this is the wind force moving them?
  19. Nice find In the second clip the pilot looks half-dead as he dangles to the ground, violent stuff; ejecting.
  20. Amuses me when they say it was in close proximity at 'five nautical miles' - yes that is close in this situation as the chances of it being within that range are extremely low but in day-to-day terms that is still literally miles away :P
  21. http://bvr.jpn.org/lockon/index_e.html <<< here are the mods - Russian seat fix is a classic.
  22. Ha not gonna help him them? I have no idea how its done I just assumed I always had a glitchy version which meant my clouds weren't effected by the base height I set.
  23. Shows you how rich and influential film makers can be and how desperate for money and support the Russian military still is.
  24. Yeah from what I read the F22 had a far lower radar presence despite its (in my opinion) less 'stealth like' look. As for the air superiority-stealth trade off you referred to, its not as simple as one or the other and I'm sure they didn't simply decide 50% on each front as you mentioned.
  25. It seems to help refresh the whole game - my copy started to get a lot of visual artifacts which has been fine since I reinstalled it a few weeks back. Someone else mentioned they reinstalled their copy every two weeks or so to refresh these anomalies.
