  1. I drink my beer by the pint which is now exactly 0.5L (more than the old British standard, even though they keep the old label on the glasses) and 1lb of steak aka 0.5kg (again the metric is worth more :D)
  2. Why would they get rid of the Su-25T after all the work they put into it? I hope you didn't see that post!
  3. Yeah I remember that, way back 5000years ago when the pharoah blocked youtube, what was he thinking!
  4. Gentle diving and rolling of course :P
  5. To be honest I'm fairly apt with either format and can quickly convert between the two, but I'm very much used to using scientific measurements (much of it is in metric if not it's own format). The metric system is also more realistic in a sense it's based on actual conditions. e.g. water has a desnity of 1 so 1ton of water is 1m^3. It makes things easier to visualise on that principle. That's one example of a few. Also try converting 10cm^3 to m^3. I can do that in my head you simply divide by a million. change 10inchs^3 to feet^3 and you have to divide by 12^3 which is not such an easy sum personally. It all depends on what you are used to and what you deal with daily and for me my prefered choice is metric, though i could put up with imperial for most things too.
  6. Metric is superior to all formats of measurement.
  7. In terms of ED releasing news on the game or you releasing a video? I have exams in June so don't do anything that will put me off! :D
  8. What's the name of the magazine, will look see if I can get hold of it too.
  9. Flight tests are usually done in level flight at reasonable speeds. If the pilot is being a fool and dropping them in turbulence whilst diving and rolling at ridiculos speeds then it's his own fault if he is hurt.
  10. It's about 700kmh for the flanker and 400mph for the eagle - roughly the same speed but those are the numbers to watch for on your HUD.
  11. I don't see the big deal with governments knowing what we get up to - it's not as if I do anything far worse then anyone else I know, yeah things I'm not proud of but I doubt any politician is going to release some new tv show entitled 'public life: the outtakes' or whatever where they release videos of general people getting up to mischief they don't want others to see.
  12. Only problem with pace of tehnology is that it's too fast for my wallet :(
  13. Heh I heard they are gluing them to cereal packets, lucky charms are going to be so much more fun now!
  14. This place is like an old pub, the moment there's activity it always involves a few punch-ups. Intention was good though. I haven't been following this at all can someone tell me if I need to be in a squad to participate? thanks.
  15. Still hoping I'll win a copy from lockonskins.co.uk :P
  16. That Tu160 model is actually for FS2004 and FSX and yes it has been imported into LO-MAC, I'll find you a link but you are right with one thing it did seem to be hard for the guy doing it. EDIT: here is the post http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=314959&postcount=78 whilst it hasn't been fully ported and I doubt many of the arguments work either it shows some progress is possible.
  17. So this video is going to be awesome then :D
  18. Hey that wasn't what you originally wrote!
  19. The number of times the radar screen updates, i.e. to emulate the radar having to spin around - the screen wouldn't show a real time tracking of each object rather frames that create an almost real-time scan of the area around the plane? Assuming this is an AWACs or some vehicle/structure with spinning radar. Or my most radars have to send out beams every so often rather then a constant wave of information? I have no idea that's all guess work - but if i'm right the 0 could represent no updates thus the radar is real time with no lag between updates.
  20. They manage battles of thousand in games like Rome Total War, there must be some way round it - I know it might not be as complex but then does it need to be. Are the infantry individually controlled in RTW, anyone know?
  21. Yeah you change profile for X45 mid flight too, but you have to alt-tab out only problem is LO-MAC hates alt-tabbing and so does my graphics card. I tend to fly one aircraft each session of flight anyway so it's no problem.
  22. Depends what joystick you have, if you have a saitek (or any reasonable HOTAS) you should have software to change what all the buttons are mapped to.
  23. How is it operated at the moment, are you talking about human or AI controlled by the way?
  24. So you want to see cubes running around shooting each other with lines?
