I voted Super Bug because I figured it was the most likely to get made, but if they did DCS: Tomcat i'd consider flying to Russia and physically tossing my money at them. -

That sounds like a lot more fun than the time i actually crossed the pond! but then again that was something like 10 hours (Chicago O'Hare to Munich) in close proximity with a few hundred of my closest friends, lol. Longest flight i ever flew was an F-14 Ferry flight from Hickam AFB to North Island in San Diego in FS9, but i usually average 1-2 hours in DCS/FC.

I'll give you number two and four, and three is debatible, but the A-10? Really? Don't get me wrong, i like the Hawg, and i'm still not all that cozy with the Legacy Bug, but i'll take a fighter with a T/W of 0.8, a top speed of Mach 1.7, and a fuel fraction of minuscule any day over a t/w of non existent, a top speed thrice that of a good baseball pitch, and Air/Mud until my eyes bleed. lol -
Forgive me if i'm missing something, but why would we have to remove the A-10A to get a new aircraft? Believe me, I want a western multirole fast jet as much as everyone else, but we don't need to kill the legacy Hawg for it.

Any chance we could ever see a fully amphibious AAV-7 and or BTR-80? Other than just get FC3 out as soon as it can be done right and i'm content. also, i'd kill for a lite F-16/F-18 cockpit that could do A/A, A/G, but i won't hold my breath too long.

Nope, only the Admiral Kuz has the simulated take offs. The Carl Vinson doesn't have CATO simulated for human players. My recommended take off procedure is 1) don't load the aircraft too heavy. 2) Full landing flaps (Shift F) 3) Stand on your brakes. 4) While brakes are engaged, push your engine to full afterburner. 5) Once they're at MAX RPM, let go of the brakes. 6) you're going to (depending on your load) lumber (fall is a more appropriate word) off the deck with just enough airspeed to fly. 7) Pull up as hard as you can without stalling (i mean hard) you should bottom out just above the water, and after a second, recover. 8) flip you're wingman the bird as he is shot gracefully into the air by the computer, and fly off into the sunset to shoot down Ivan. If you plummet into the sea, you're too heavy. Go picks some lighter bombs or get less fuel. Using this you ought to be able to get off the deck from your starting position. Oh, and if you're using the MiG-29K on the Kuznetsov, that is the one exception, it ought to work just like the Flanker

Actually, The F-15 cockpit works fine for carrier ops. The tail hook is 100% functional, and you even get the flight path marker and ILS cross on approach to the carrier. As for the cockpit issue, I'm torn. I don't like the MiG cockpit because you loose the American TWS and TTA/TTI counter and all the other AA things that make the Eagle so great. At the same time, The AG on the Eagle is incredibly rudimentary, the bombs don't even ripple in pairs, they all fall off at once when you pickle.

How do i edit or change these? I fooled around with the F15C-logo-xx.tgas and i could not seem to remove or replace them. I succeeded only changing their colors.

Has anyone figured out which entry in the AircraftNames.lau works for the F-111? i've tried F-111, F111,F111F and obviously F-111F, can't any of them to work unfortunately.

An official ED Strike Eagle? I think they're adding an AI model in the next DCS or beyond. For FC2, all the ingredients are there to make your own if your up to it. Tomcatz has released an F-15E model, and there is an unused slot with a CLSID and flight model in the game code for the F-111F. I have added in the F-15E in its place. Also, in FC2 you can define what radar each aircraft has, so it can also use AIM-120s and AIM-7s.

Changed My Mind about Battlefield BC2 and COD Modern Warfare 2

I can't help but feel BC2 would be better if it had a hardcore mode. As it is it feels as if both the army got conned and bought a whole bunch of air soft guns, then told their soldiers to make do. Emptying a whole clip into someone just to see them run off is quiet a massive turn off for me. Plus EA's practice of giving ridiculously overpowered guns as unlocks is in full swing. (they did seem to invent the practice). I'm not totally against unlocks, but the disparity between the stuff you get in the beginning and the higher level guns makes the game frustrating at times. Also, Whoever had the bright idea to give the medic (the only class that can give health or revive) the most powerful guns in the game deserves a 9mm frontal lobotomy administered by a faltering 90 year old woman. I only own MW2 for the 360. I like it, Its mindless fun with friends, nuff said. -

I wonder if there is anyway to get the A-10's CCIP and CCRP into the F-15 Cockpit? As it is the A-10 has extremely limited AA functionality, and the F-15 has extremely limited AG symbols (its got a fall line, a CCIP Gun pipper and that's it. It was still way more than i was expecting.)

Agree 100%. I mod with the intention seeing a more diverse force in game for my off line enjoyment. I see how this would be easily and grossly exploited on multiplayer.

I'm fairly sure this is based off of the Aircraft Flight model and not the cockpit. If you know how to edit that I'll be your best friend.

I guess if we're demanding high tech 2000's era Flankers, The APG-63(V2) is needed for the Eagle :music_whistling: The 27ER travels faster and the Flanker carries more of them per sortie. I find it much deadlier in FC2. -
did you guys try editing the view.lau in addition to the server.lau?
