i have my centre speaker from the 5.1s above the monitor and it just sits on top of that for now, i will have to rethink when i move the comp from the lounge to the room down stairs. it could be a combo of distance and angle for you, have you tried it using the clip closer to the camera? Edit: perhaps a way around it is to raise the monitor on a stand or a couple of phone books so sits higher and then angle the camera down.

have you tried repositioning the camera so it is "looking down" at the sensors as such. i have come across this as well and had to move the camera from off centre to centre high with a down angle. its sits about 5 inches above the monitor now in the centre. are you using the latest drivers for it? i have found them to be a pita and cause more problems that anything else, but thats just my experience with them. if there is no difference in tracking with the repo of the camera and your not happy, send it back for another (if you can)

what he said ^ i have thrashed my hogstick in il2 and its got enough buttons for every thing i need and it can just bre mapped in game, without target. it would be good to try one out before laying the dosh down, so if you know anyone with 1, pay them a visit, or go to a shop to out what ever your thinking of the hog firmware can only get better.

are you running the sim and TIR as admin? they both need to have the same privilege levels within the o/s.

he could have been sent re furbed throttles and not new ones.....

don't think there is one . grab a start up check list that someone has made, there is a couple of good ones around and once you've done a few dozen times you'll start to get the pattern.

try using the "add" button in the options gui instead of using the double click method. takes a few seconds more but it should work

5 + clip = funtimes worth the money you and more, its kinda nice to track targets through a rolling scissors by head movement.

Are there any Helios beta testers out there using Vista (32) ? i have read that it has diminished functionality and all development test rigs are 7/64. I'm waiting for it to be released but would like to know if an O/S upgrade is needed to get the best out of the software. Any feed back is helpful.

ok i'm with ya now. the stick does run to the throttle and from the throttle to pc via usb, a nine pin s vga-ish cable from memory for the stick to throttle connection. i found with mine that one specific end of the cable had to go to the stick and one to the throttle otherwise the stick was inaccurate. i just put nail polish on the throttle and the "best" end for it. Shoulda been ok no matter which end was used but twas not the case. can you say "idiosyncratic" EDIT: Severum, have you been plugging the stick into the mother board via the mouse keyboard ports? if so plug it into the throttle, there is a port on the front, and re test, this would be the cause of the problem if thats what you have done........

:huh: that doesn't make any sense to me, are saitek now doing the 52 series with a p/s2 connector? or is it running through an adapter to p/s2 port? should just be a usb 2.0 plug and plug into the mainboard or hub. sorry if i have misunderstood. :unsure:

my ole 52 noob is not that loose and its been well thrashed. could be that the screws near the base need a bit of a tweak, where the handle meets the shaft of the stick near the rudder lock. Or the machining is/was a bit sloppy. my one left the factory with one of the t switches led's cutting out. if you can live with it and it functions then sweet, but if you aint happy send it back sooner rather than later.
