  5. there is a couple sticker type tags on the usb cord for each unit, stating that they have been tested to comply with FCC standards. Some would argue (Mower) that stands for F__KING Crap Company......TM i have had 0 issues with TM gear so far, both the v2 MFD's and the Hogstick, just gonna go find some wood to knock on now.......

  17. Are there any Helios beta testers out there using Vista (32) ? i have read that it has diminished functionality and all development test rigs are 7/64. I'm waiting for it to be released but would like to know if an O/S upgrade is needed to get the best out of the software. Any feed back is helpful.
  18. Classic! glad it's working:thumbup:
  19. ok i'm with ya now. the stick does run to the throttle and from the throttle to pc via usb, a nine pin s vga-ish cable from memory for the stick to throttle connection. i found with mine that one specific end of the cable had to go to the stick and one to the throttle otherwise the stick was inaccurate. i just put nail polish on the throttle and the "best" end for it. Shoulda been ok no matter which end was used but twas not the case. can you say "idiosyncratic" EDIT: Severum, have you been plugging the stick into the mother board via the mouse keyboard ports? if so plug it into the throttle, there is a port on the front, and re test, this would be the cause of the problem if thats what you have done........
  20. that doesn't make any sense to me, are saitek now doing the 52 series with a p/s2 connector? or is it running through an adapter to p/s2 port? should just be a usb 2.0 plug and plug into the mainboard or hub. sorry if i have misunderstood.
  21. my ole 52 noob is not that loose and its been well thrashed. could be that the screws near the base need a bit of a tweak, where the handle meets the shaft of the stick near the rudder lock. Or the machining is/was a bit sloppy. my one left the factory with one of the t switches led's cutting out. if you can live with it and it functions then sweet, but if you aint happy send it back sooner rather than later.
  22. that's due to the spring tension, (if it is a 52 noob)the dual spring helped with that in the pro version. i saw a mod on u tube where they used a bottle cap or stiff card board to add tension when the stick moved, might want to have a looky look.
  23. they are not win 7 drivers, saitek just supply xp drivers on the cd, from memory. you have to get them from the saitek site. tried a different usb port? powered hub?
  24. from memory, if the command is on a "slider" in game then its simple, just set it as an axis via gui game pane,l IE prop pitch in il2 is on an axis so can be set to the throttle slider via game menu. If its a button press then you have set bands through the SST (any current saitek users please correct, as mine has been in a draw for a while now) and then programme the band areas as key bindings, either as a single key stroke or a macro command. clear as mud?
