  2. might have to try that one. then clear the jam with a pair of GBUs, just for giggles
  3. http://www.cyclotouch.com.au these guys have different size overlays for all sorts of monitors. based in Australia, but they ship international. might be worth a look. Drivers on their site iirc, and you can use win 7 calibration tool for it. FWIW.
  4. i re read the manual and try and make more sense of it.
  5. the mfd on your 52 pro will list info for radio freqs with some games, FSX ,i think mainly. for other games it is possible but you would need to scour the net for the titles and how to implement the usage. for BS there is no functionality other than listing the named commands with each button press, that are set through your profile, that you create (if you so wish to).
  6. you may wish to add that you can also use the UFC for data entry, horses for courses of course. wicked tutorial !
  7. or change the load out to include a TGP. looking for things with the mav seeker is quite hard, and as you say you wander into the range envelope while you look for targets. best to fly high and stay away from trouble while you search with the TGP, mark them off when found, and then prosecute when ready. No HARMS btw, and the missles do miss but if you are to close then they have to much E to counter and you buy the farm.
  8. there are rubber feet on the metal plate that help stop unwanted movement, that combined with the weight and large surface area equate to little, if any, slippage.
  9. hi ned, get the info from the guy(JTAC) and enter the co-ords into the CDU and make a new WP. use the TGP once you are near enough to do so,find the targets, and BAM. zap them. If you need to learn how to do that stuff, then have read of this thread and find which tutorial you need Bit of a steep learning curve but its definitely worth sinking time and energy into it for the rewards.
  10. There is an indicator at the bottom left of the HUD, saying which AP mode is engaged when in use PATH/ALT&HDG/ALT you need to be under 5 degrees +/- pitch for it to engage. zoom keys default is NUMPAD * and /

  16. sounds a bit strange........has he been doing ramp starts in single player? could it be the throttle is not being set to idle before use. i know for quick missions the throttles are set in use whereas from cold they need to be moved past/to the detent to function as an axis.
  17. key binding for sunglasses?:music_whistling:
  18. it wont work through the axis command as it is recognized as a button press rather than something with an x and y axis, as such. good to hear its sorted
  19. hi m8 just tried to map in game and had no trouble. it shows as button 4. i went to wheel brakes on/off, clicked in the column under joystick, clicked add, pulled the paddle (HEHE) and that's was all. check to see if button is being recognised in the windows controller utility. may just be missing the "click add" step.....
  20. There is a manual, its in PDF form in the docs folder in your DCS A10C folder of your install and its useful, bit of lite reading at bed time for me  but a mine of info. The x 52 is more than enough to play, check out JackBauers profile (in his sig i think) as many people use it and i have heard nothing but good reports of it. it could be a good starting point for you. Welcome aboard.
