yeah the "ape" doesn't have a good rep for hardware at good prices. it can be had for a lot cheaper. either import it yourself and take a chance on the customs duty (anything over 400 you get pinged) or get it from a retailer. i have one on order for much less than 1200. in fact it should be here this week. any kiwis need a heads up, giz a shout! :thumbup:

go into the options in the GUI and find the check box that says enable simple radio mode...... its under misc. options i think.

TIR 4 has a blue LED to say it has been recognised by the game software

I dont think its a track ir issue. have you tried loading different missions or are you trying to load the same one over and over. i have issues with missions loading and get the same problem as you, crashing at the compiling stage, but i find some missions load cleanly and have no probs at all. see if you can get any missions to load as it maybe certain ones that are bottoming out. i have found free flight single missions seem to work well but the training one hang at compiling stage. have a look at the beta forum Crash thread. maybe something useful in there for you

have a read of post 2 and 4 bud. not supported yet. and its's still being optimized, next patch has been slated for that. :thumbup:

from memory there is a "load profile" in the options. make sure the profile is in the right folder and then access it through the gui options screen and load it. also make sue the the profile is the correct one for that stick ie a ****.pro it could be the default profile is being loaded from the options as you have not set it to have the new one in.

you could try disabling the z axis in the TIR profile that controls the head translation back and forth, or at least drop the curve right down to stop too much movement. i have stopped mine and use 5 DOF + zoom and it has made that sort of stuff a bit easier.

the sim spends a bit of time compiling after you launch/hit fly, i get the same thing same as everyone else, let it do its thing, can take up to 10 min i read somewhere. patience grasshopper.....it should come right. check out the crash thread in the beta forum, lots of info about "things and stuff" in there

you may want to set the template selection. one:one fast slow smooth those may help. if you use those in conjunction with speed sliders etc you should be able to achieve what you want. i have created my template from adjusting the curve settings and those sliders etc. is this what you mean?
