sounds like there could be pinched wires in the stick. another user was finding that every time he rolled left, his gun and any missiles fired.
he had a pinched wire in the ball joint of the stick in the base. may be a case of the same thing, but be wary that if you open it up it MAY void any warranty.
here is the thread, it may help form a plan of action
there are certain parameters that need to be met to engage AP, you oitch angle must be correct, no more that +/- 5 degrees and your airspeed must be above a certain limit.
is the PAC switch engaged?
could you use the midget as a muntion?
DTOS midgets on the bad guys? you both seem to know more about this secretive technology, hence my asking.......
i'm with you Con..... the Mrs wants her lounge back......not a flight ops centre with maps and freqs on the wall. i get some funny looks with all the gear on and she has friends over.....its worse with TS as the all want to know why i keep telling the time, @ 11o'clock @ 6 o'clock etc.
one of her friends asked "why do you fly a desk?" replied ..."its better than the broom you use....
that got me the "i'm sooooo gunna slapp you sideways" look:badmood:
yes thats it. just finished a flight and was able to hold AP at 20k+. i think the combined effect of trim and the use of munitions lightening the AC causing it to pitch more led to it.
Need to pay more attention to trimming. Thanks for the input, all.
was using AP in level flight with a slight up trim. about 1-2 degree angle. airspeed was around 170-180 fully loaded. went above 15k and it cut out. i wondered if there was a Max Alt setting.
I was playing with systems last night trying to learn them and noticed that the AP disengaged at 15k. I have looked through the manual but cannot find the relevant section about programming the AP.
If some one knows where in the Manual or knows the procedure to set the AP Alt i would appreciate it. I am guessing its through the STAT page or the UFC after pre flight bit.
i will continue to look in the book.......
you will find that ED is bound by contract with NaturalPoint, and NP will want their I.P. protected,so they, ED, cannot release anything that is in support of a "competitor" product.
Unfortunate, but reality.:smilewink:
