I just tested a flight with a wing sweep failure. I set it so that I could have max sweep before the failure kicked in, and apart from the obvious visual effect and the inability to use flaps or DLC the flight was as stable and coordinated as with full forward wings and no flaps and DLC. There was no roll tendency at all, no aileron or rudder trim was required. /edit: Could be a ( I would guess it is) DCS issue, but after enabling the failure in a stand alone mission. I joined a multiplayer and the failure was still present. It took a DCS restart to clear all failures.

I don't consider it a bug, I didn't post it in the bugs section after all. More of a fun "feature". It would be cool though if Jester would respond to this breach of procedure with a wisecrack. ;-). But if you get really into it, fuel dumping without setting it alight doen't give me a smoke trail like it does in the F/A-18C. Only lighting it up does.

I can't try it right now, but I can't remember if the logic behind the switch was working, I _think_ I enabled it with the AB already selected.

I'd like to request that under the "Special" tab in the Basic DCS Settings menu an option would be added to use "Stored heading align" as a default setting for F14.

For now Open Beta, Should be available (fingers crossed) next Friday when the Stable gets updated provided all is ok.

I like the new program, it's rules are clear and will work nicely. Fortunately I have spend all my bonus on gifts for others. I do agree that for loyal customers like the previous posters a conversion should be considered. 50% of the current bonus value seems fair and will do justice to their past (and future) support. Until I gave away some of my bonus I was in the same position. By always buying modules as soon as they were available you basically never get the chance to redeem the bonus you are acquiring.

I've been thinking about this for a while now, all this hype that's been created. In this I completely follow ED's stand in this. What's 7+ days in order to evaluate an RC? A post of mine from another thread. in response to the XMas hype ;) HB really needs to tone down the teasing for their next product.

Errata: In the engine start procedure after you have started #2 item 12 specifies to disconnect external power. On line 16 it tells you to repeat steps 7-12 for #1 engine. item 12 is superfluous as you have already disconnected external power. For both Pilot and RIO. item 1 Oxygen test: According to the checklist it's left OFF. I would assume that after the test it should be turned on again.

I've got the mod.. First of all txs for making it. A few friends and myself were talking about just such a mod a week or so ago. I am still trying to get everything to work, some key combo's conflict with US keyboard settings. And I haven't found out yet how to operate the gun precisely. I can fire it, but not aim it.

And will it still be webbased?

Per the latest newsletter ED announces working on wake turbulence for aircraft... I wonder now... ;-)

This holds true for a lot of the modules.. After it's out the door in whatever state ED/Belsimtek and most other 3rd party devs are quite slow in finishing their products.

So true... and again we go back to my topic start question.. If HB has a new multi-crew network layer.. perhaps ED could do something with that? They can't seem to get it working themselves.. And thinking out loud now.. HB _might_ make the A-6 which has a side by side cockpit as well.. Could it be that during development of their own network code they might have had the A-6 in mind as well? Just speculation mind you.

I guess the answer would be "When it's ready". Jabber just did a video stating that the rear pit was't finished yet, at least some texture work was missing, and HB asked not to show the RIO's workplace yet.

^ Wow.... Nope haven't flown the plane, never even a fighter, I do have 15K+ hours though, and asking a non confrontational question...

@Jabbers_ I can't get over the fact that the shaking effect seems to be a bit overdone. I realize that a simulation can't convey real physical effects properly, and that sometimes graphical/sound effects are being used to try to capture that feeling. When you flew the F-14 did it feel "real"? On another note, yes the mirrors look very cool. And I realize that when you return to the boat you have to make sure your hair still looks good. Some (not as as vain pilots) might even use the mirrors for looking behind the jet iso for personal admiration. Can they be adjusted for those who wish to use them to look behind?
