I really miss a feature like that. I usually just bolter by keeping the hook up and the hook bypass switch to field. This way I get way more practise in a shorter period. But when you bolter I have just time to glance at my score before turning downwind again. Our group is already reverting back to the airboss script. There you have some kind of history.

That's a wee bit dramatic. That's just software development. one or two minor things can hold up a release while on other fronts a lot of progress is being made.

Hoi en lol.. ;-) Super vertraagde reply. Excuses daarvoor. Onze servers draaien 24/7.

This is a good discussion topic. Will you pay for an upgrade/refresh of a product. I started a thread a while back about the BlackShark being my most expensive module by far. I went from BS (stand-alone) to BS2 (upgrade) And now a full BS2 license. I was quite p-ssed at that. However, I have had quite a bit of fun with the BlackShark over the years. And I realize that it is quite an investment by ED to keep patching/updating a module for years on end. To put it into perspective Windows 7 release date for the general public was October 22nd, 2009. And the original BlackShark RU: 17 October 2008 EN: 10 December 2008. Everything needs maintenance, your house and car for example, and in the case of our modules, the environment they are being used in changes continuously. New graphic options, lighting, everything really. So yes I will pay for an upgrade or even a maintenance release. I know it's not popular, but seeing the amount of work that goes into a module and the (remember!!) FREE DCS World it has to be paid for somehow. All this raises the followup question of how ED would charge us for all this work. Other studio's just release an updated version of their game. New engine, a few new maps, XXX3 becomes XXX4 with the full price again. Every 1 or 2 years. Take FIFA for example, it's up to version 20 already! I don't really like the way ED is deciding how to get paid for updates to modules, but I don't know another way that's better. So to get back on topic, Yes I will pay for a better/updated Huey.

My most expensive module by far... feeling bad..
Koriel replied to Koriel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I have to backtrack on my initial statement with regards to this being my most expensive module. Over the last couple of months, I have read and thought about things a bit more. I have no idea about how well ED is doing moneywise, is the company surviving from module to module while having to maintain all these other modules up to spec? And introducing more and more realism features into the core simulator, or is the current situation stable and will we all be enjoying an amazing flight simulator over the coming years. I have no idea. Whatever the case may be, creating DCS takes money. Maintaining 8 or 9-year-old modules takes money. And yes sometimes you end up paying in installments like with BS, BS2 and now another upgrade. Other times you luck out like with the early access A-10C which gave me Nevada for free. I do apologize for starting this thread and will keep on supporting ED like I have been doing since Su-27 DOS in 1995. -
Many many thanks Chuck.

Appreciate it!!

Lemme go on a limb here and guess yes...

I really appreciate your video's. I think I learned some/most of it the hard way, but having a real course to follow makes me feel more proficient. This is the stuff I'd like to see done for a lot of other modules. A mix of top down and in depth. Keep it up!

Is this list official? Or did you collect data from all over? Regardless, WANT

Less than 10 hours I would estimate. -
My most expensive module by far... feeling bad..
Koriel replied to Koriel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thanks for your reply. All good and well, I’m a loyal customer of ED since 1995. I’ve spend over $1500 on Eagle products. Most modules i’ve enjoyed for just a few hours all in all. What I neglected to mention is that I also have original Russian Blackshark laying around somewhere. In the end I compare the current product with the money I have spend on it, and then the Blackshark is coming up short compared to your latest offerings like the Hornet, or even the A-10C. So basically I feel you have got all my money already, and just let me enjoy the module without having to buy a gps, additional weapons systems or the likes. I realize that I don’t have to buy it. So I most likely won’t. It will however change the way I will approach new offerings from ED. Where I used to jump on new modules (already pre-ordered the Viper) I will from now on only buy modules that I will actually use instead of indiscriminately hitting [buy] whenever there’s a new module. In the past ED has treated me decently with the WW2 kickstarter fiasco. This time however I really feel ED is making a wrong move. I hope this won’t set a precedent for other modules. -

But you have to if you want the full functionality. -
Order 30182, $49,99 Order 54765, $19,99 Order 200382, $11,99 I hated having to install the stand alone blackshark to upgrade to V2, so bought a standalone V2. I know that recently the licenses were combined. I tried gifting one of my licenses but ED said “no”... So $82 already spend on the Blackshark and now having to pay for another upgrade? This feels excessive. Especially when you compare it to for example the Hornet. The latter giving you much more value for money systems wise and such.

Wing Sweep Failure, No change in FM, only visual effect
Koriel replied to Koriel's topic in Bugs and Problems
The issue is here that there's no effect at all. It's puerly visual. -
Wing Sweep Failure, No change in FM, only visual effect
Koriel replied to Koriel's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, sorry, I failed the right wing in full aft, left functioned normally. Apart from not being able to use flaps and DLC. (just wanted to check flaps, wasn't going to use them ;-) ) the airplane flew straight, stable and no yaw/roll to counteract. Here's the failure: And here's the landing, watch my controls.. I would assume that with the larger frontal area on the left wing, a (slight?) left yaw could be expected, and with increased lift a right roll... Regardless, with such an assymetrical configuration some effect should be felt. -
@Cobra, I really wonder why you haven't gone for a 3rd part store though which you can sell Heatblur branded products like Sweaters, coffee mugs, lingerie... It takes all the headache away, we as customers have much more choice...
