  2. Now in 2.9, the power to JDAMs is down not only selecting Gun, but ANY weapon store. JSOWs are OK, they stay powered when selecting other wpn stores.
  3. Hmmmm, strange ... today just tried the carrier departure on both DCS platforms ... both went well. I expect that even rest of my reported bugs could be just a glitch.
  4. DCS OB 2.8.8.43489 1) Raven 4-1 AI lead is ready for CAT 2 launch, altough Im called to taxi there, and he will never takeoff. I need to takoff first and than he suddenly show him self from nowhere 2) Tanker S-3B practice with 500lbs fuel to take - AI will stick with tanker hose forewer Im unable to call him off to also take 500 of fuel. I burned there alot of precious fuel! At the end I was forced to call Im done with practice altought I was impossible to do that. 3) Voice over given CASE III Final Bearing 211° is NOT the real in game one, in fact it is a reciprocal heading of ship. Very nicely made mission, but these bugs will spoil most of enjoyment
  5. Last night, same issue here, by F10 command to my wingmen I give him order to JSOW attack ... AI then flew south of Mother and than back North without PIG away.
  6. Have any of you experiencing repeated (around 2 minutes interval) system32\cmd.exe window popup over DCS game for a sec and then dissappears. No error messages stay up. Is this OK? Can the cmd window be minimezed from start to not popup over DCS? Edit: the interval is equal to ATIS information.

Buses Lost: 1) Non-essential DC 2) Essential DC (This results in loss of power to fuel boost and transfer pumps, CARA, ECM, and FCR and power for normal weapon arming/release including selective jettison.) Equipment Lost while running EPU: (REFS-REFS) R) Radar Altimeter (CARA) R) Recce Pod (236) E) ECM (184) E) EW CMS F) FCR F) Fuel Pumps (Boost/Transfer) S) SMS Arm/Release Power S) S-J Now in DCS, giro is completely off, no FMP, no navigation, no TACAN, just speed, BARO altimeter and radios. Which is in contradiction of what we can see in two popular real life examples of Engine off landing we can found on Youtube. Another BUG with EPU: According to EMERGENCY MANUAL, running JFS is increasing used Hydrazine. 8nm, 40% w JFS (45% w/o) 4nm, 20% w JFS (25% w/o) In DCS now, it doesnt matter, after same amount of time, EPU used same amount of hydrazine, with or w/o JFS running. And one another: according to EMER PROC guides, REDUCING CONTROL SURFACE MOTIONS WILL REDUCE USAGE OF HYDRAZINE. - NOT IN DCS.

  9. Is in my track everything OK with EPU support of F-16 systems? Is is ok to EPU shutdown when weight on wheels? Some Avionics going off,... not seeing PFM on HUD for example...   10. Target inside of radar outline box is not exactly representing scan limits. There are blind areas inside of box, where contact will not be detected. As I mentioned 2 years ago... still same BUG we have today. AZ-EL_scan_outline_BUG.trk
  11. @BIGNEWY Hello there, I will just repeat abovementioned question for just case that it was forgotten to answer from ED side. It's has been many years from Hornet first release, so ... Any news about other damage model than just texture scratches or completely destroyed plane with wings ripped off - simply said.
  12. We're important topic for hornet defense, to adjust FLARE effectiveness where it should be. Now with current engine heat signitures (even when idle) is Hornet one of most vulnerable fighter, against IR guided missiles, in DCS. Flare cartridge depleted very quickly even with effective programs. On top of that, Preemptive flare defensive ejection is not simulated in DCS.
  13. BUG =>When flying, Engine Crossbleed or APU bleed unable to produce enough RPM. Min 60% needed to run electric AC generators. On top, APU bleed shows AMAD PR warning (AMAD hydraulic pressure low) but at the same time, hydraulic 2A and 2B are well pressurized - even if I start to maneuver wildly and start to operate flaps. According to Hornet NATOPS manual, both ways are solution to drive AMAD system (fuel, power, hydraulic pressure) if engine is not operating and can freely rotate. A) Good Engine RPM above 84%, engage Engine Crank Switch - L or R of shutdowned engine to open ATS valve to pass bleed air to AMAD and rotate it. B) Hold 10 sec "HYD ISOL ORIDE", start APU - ON, Pressurize APU ACCUM by holding 10 sec "HYD ISOL ORIDE", engage Engine Crank Switch - L or R of shutdowned engine to open ATS valve to pass bleed air to AMAD and rotate it. By NATOPS instructions, the pilots are instructed to use (B) - engine crossbleed to drive AMAD of the failed engine (Right one), if are able to. A) - APU bleed, is last solution. CROSSBLEED_RPM_BUG.trk APU_bleed_RPM_BUG.trk Also I wonder, why we are missing RPM info here (rpm dispalyed on EFEI), another bug? Yes I guess.

RAZABAM - KEEP IN MIND THIS IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE LIMIT, BEFORE MODULE RELEASED: Link to F-15E pilot talking about performance: Fighter Pilot Podcast - 076 - F-15E Strike Eagle F-15E with CFT have defined speed limit 700 kts or Mach 1.6 Plane have so HUGE DRAG - EVEN WITHOUT ANYTHING LOADED ON PYLONS, that pilots have problems to get there (probably shallow descent needed).
  15. That's the outer temporary solution, but we need from ED to fix it. They can take MG's or some of Reflected's Mustang skins as a good way to start.   16. Beside errors in Lua and old Specular textures, EDs fault is there in lack of blue channel for reflections, and less green for glossyer lacquer finish. Aileron and flaps must be less polished.
  17. Of course, it's very well know thing. I think that the paint was also oversprayed with glossy lacquer to protect the paint.

  21. If the Laser would shine all the time pilot have target is designated, it would roast the ATFLIR pod quickly. 2sec flash of ranging after TDC pressed or in AUTO mode makes absolute sense. The way we have modeled ATFLIR in DCS is somehow simplistic from real operation (some DCS users can benefit from that) but it brings with it also nosense like this reported behaviour. Question is, what about the coordinates and elevation data, when ATFLIR is slewed somewhere and TDC button not yet pressed - Laser ranging not commanded. (Also if LASER is broken, can radar measure the distance to target if within of scan limits? just a side thought, not mentioned to discus here)
  22. @GGTharos AIM-7 will not loose it's guidance by transitioning to FLOOD, but by any attempt to regain new STT. Heatblure F-14 manual describes same behaviour present in Tomcat.: **Boresight Mode - the boresight mode uses the CW flood antenna on the AN/AWG-9 radar and will cause the missile to track the strongest target return within the flood area. In addition to when launched in boresight mode the radar will also switch to flood mode when a target is lost, either before launch or after launch, enabling the pilot to try and save the shot by keeping the target within the flood area.** Also the button would make absolutely no sense if pressing it would result in lossing guidance of Sparrow in flight.   23. There should be same logic and process as in M2000C and 530D missile. When Sparrow is on the way and STT is lost, radar should Automaticaly start to FLOOD mode and try guide AIM-7 on reflected RF energy. By pressing this button, pilot have the ability to do so manualy for whatever reason to kill the enemy.
