VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

I go back and forth with Simplex shader mod. As far as performance tweaking etc.... you're gonna wanna start here. -
It is certainly an improvement with the FA-18 low flights. THIS is how I always envisioned DCS in VR to looks. holy crap!

Very nice... just ran the RT 45fps lock. Very smooth FA-18 river run. Only saw some slight ghosting at altitude with the fly through green squares. Are you also using the OXR tool to lock fps at 45 or just RT?

I did find a standalone installer. Gonna give it a shot. https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download,17.html I have used Afterburner before to OC my 6900XT, but I prefer the Radeon pkg.

Might try this. Wasn't sure RT worked with AMD. Do I also have to use MSI Afterburner?

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Sr. replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'm kinda taking a liking to running at 30hz, MR always on. Not as flashy as I remember. And you can crank the visuals. -
If you're using MR, do NOT mess with the shakiness slider in the toolkit UI.

So I made a Bodnar button box... Works nicely as the left / rear panel in the Apache... those can be hard to see in VR, let alone manipulate. The upper right group of push buttons are for George AI commands. Plan to add a 3pos switch (starter) and try to replicate the APU switch and guard... if anyone has any suggestions for sourcing one.
-
investigating George cannot hit moving targets with the hellfire.
Sr. replied to Ghostlydoggo's topic in Bugs and Problems
George can't find his ass with both hands... Too often I've got a clear target area off the nose. I command search, he slaves/de-slaves fire one missile, then I hold aft/long, see the list of other targets, select 1. George claims he's "firing" or "engaging" but usually never fires... I mean he can clearly see the weapon remaining screen just as easily as I can. -

Hadn't noticed, but I think I've seen that it can throw off the pnvs alignment. I've taken it down to 40% since -

Wow again... Just determined the best benefit of using the shake reduction set to 100% (at least if you're NOT using MR) is the gun reticle through the Pilot monocle is rock solid! Score one for targeting/shooting accuracy! -

Wow... I just went back in to check. With MR on it's jello/wobble city. With MR disabled, there's no jello/wobble BUT... I noticed the cursor with PointCtrl is MUCH more stable and easier to utilize the Apache KU. I had been sort of struggling with it and thinking it was just my left hand not being as steady but it turns out head movement has a lot to do with it. I would point the cursor at the Apache KU and intentionally wiggle my head trying to make it wobble off of the number pad and it wobbled a tiny bit but never jumped completely off the numbers. Then checked again with MR on and the shake reduction moving beyond 0 would cause the slightest head jiggling to make the cursor wiggle and dance of target. If you are using PointCtrl, give this a shot. -
PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
Sr. replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I just stumbled across something... I have been experimenting with the new OpenXR implementation for VR DCS, and last night I noticed the was a slider to reduce "shakiness". While I was ranging from 0%(off) through 100% I noticed the graphics and artifacting get exponentially worse... This was with motion reprojection enabled in OXR. I went back with motion detection disabled this time and moved the slider to 100% just to see how it affected the visuals this time and there was no change, but then I realized the PointCtrl cursor was SO much more steady and accurate. I would point the cursor at the Apache KU and intentionally wiggle my head trying to make it wobble off of the number pad and it wobbled a tiny bit but never jumped completely off the numbers.- 3421 replies

The change can be seen in real time. When I was testing it out, I was in the FA-18, watching the UFC. -

^ I was playing around with the shake reduction slider, and it may be that I'm running FSR instead of NIS but, with MR enabled, moving the slider causes the artifacting and jello effect to spike exponentially. Seems to do the opposite of what I though I'd read. So I leave it at default. -
I'll say NTTC was made for OpenXR/DCS. I run MR disabled, OXR tools for WMR @ 80%, OVRTK NIS @100 and get only very slight stutters 3-9 while J-hooking Vegas at about 1000 ft. DCS settings high, 4x MSAA 9 (just because I can) and it is stunning. This evening, I'm going to toggle both ends by another 10% and see if I can retain the visuals. Would be cool if there was a way to keep different startup configs for the individual DCS maps.

Have you tried this? -
Speaking of the analog ministick...(NXT Gladiator Premium) Does anyone have a more controllable curve setting for using as slew cursor in the A-10C II and/or Apache?

The screenshot with the loader running from the archive was just for illustration. I unzipped the archive into the bin directory. Well I actually used ovgme. What is the correct folder structure? I had to alter my path for it to work in OvGME G:\DCSMods\3DmigotoDCS_VR_15.0_openXR\bin\3dmigoto Take everything out of the top level folder named "3DmigotoDCS_VR_15.0_openXR" after extracting. For whatever reason, mine started out as 3DmigotoDCS_VR_15.0_openXR\3DmigotoDCS_VR_15.0_openXR
