  1. He said Fuselage. I'm thinking Fuselage.... not the Nacelles. The middle pylons. Is the ET/T seeker head sensitive to Catapult launches just as a matter of interest? And plumbing the cramped nacelle body might be problematic. The front intake will be prone to heating. As for the MiG-23, I don't have blueprints with installed R-60's. It seems that any manoeuvring that would have to be done restricts the pilot and the ability of the R-60. Now, I notice they are flared out away from the fuselage. Still it's far from ideal.
  2. Yeah. "Brochure Range" :D
  3. Yeah. Ever see a MiG-23's R-60 placement? Terrible idea.
  4. I didn't think the T-72M/M1 and their clones had the Svir ATGM?
  5. The Inside Wing Pylons are plumbed for cooling liquid for the ET/T. The others aren't. Also... think about this.... what good is a fuselage ET when it can't get it's seeker to lock onto anything above the nose of the aircraft and in the case of the rear fuselage station... nothing at all. Remember the ET/T needs to lock it's seeker on before firing. :) As for your current experience, the pilot quality counts. Definitely, the end game has gotten close to WVR now in most engagements, but it's hardly a whitewash on either side by any stretch.
  6. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cee_1368812120 Alan Snackbar video from Syria. Chute retarded bombs.
  7. This is/was a bug with the Mach Scale. KM/h should be correct. :)
  8. I didn't compare the 500 and 500U version much. I did notice the 500U and tried it with 4 MBT's parked right beside each other. There's enough damage potential to wipe out two latest Gen MBTs parked right beside each other and a bit left over to damage anything else beside them. Rockets? S-8KOM great for wiping out trucks and light stuff. You need to saturate a MBT, though. S-13's are good, but I think you need a direct hit to wipe out a tank. As a general comment, all of these munitions are more accurate and have less spread, short and long, the steeper your dive angle.
  9. Some good points there Robin Hood. 'PTAB' (Antitank Aviation Bomb) appears for one of the KMGU-2 and all of the RBK 250/500 munitions. And one of the two KMGU-2 canisters, as you noted the "AO-2.5RT" is Anti material/personnel.
  10. What exactly are you trying to hit? The RBK-500U (U version is new in FC3) is a nice cluster munition.
  11. No Wife, no kids. Starting to think Marriage is overrated TBH. Once it all goes South you have these secret family courts robbing you of your children and money with Marxist-Feminist social workers saying all sorts about you.
  12. Yeah. UNless I'm wrong, all Russian unguided AT and ATGM, require direct shot to target. Probably cheaper, but the latest ones have incredible penetration.
  13. ON this particular mission, several times now, I have seen, and myself have tested, a full SEAD payload. Double tap x2 missiles, x 3 targets. I will get 1 kill,... with a little bit of luck. I need the second sortie to start making a hole in the cover. the 3rd sortie starts actually making good work. I'm pretty sure it takes 4-5 Su-25T sorties to clear out the SAM cover that extends from ALPHA - Bravo. Madness! :P Wasn't like this until 1.2.4 Also there seems to be an anomaly in the terrain aswell that's new in 1.2.4. The SA-19 that used to drive to the top of the NAV1 hill... The SEAD missiles impact BESIDE the SAM unit. It took 3 proximity hits to kill the SA-19. And the SA-15 was bad also. SO I moved them off the hill to lower ground.
  14. He's got something like the TOW in mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUMxZ34Ptco EDIT: Can't embed /fail
  15. Since 1.2.4 I think it's fair to say that the Self protection capability of the Tunguska SA-19 and Tor SA-15 have put a serious damper on the effectiveness of AGM-65's for example. This particular mission, with it's overlapping Sa-15 and Sa-19 and SA-11 mutual protection going on, now requires some serious thought on achieving the upper hand on Target Group Alpha on both sides, particularly using the A-10C. How I've cracked it flying solo with the A-10C is, 1st Sortie on blue side: = 40% fuel, 6xGBU-12's, Pod. Climb to 30,000 and engage the 2 most Easterly Comms tower on the hills as per brief. Then ingress on a South West flight path and engage the final comms tower on the big hill (NAV1). With 3 GBU-12's lighter + spent fuel you'll have a bit of extra speed to run away from that inevitable SA-11 launch. Stay at 30. Drop below this in a panic when '11' starts singing and you die by SA-15/19/13. Just fly South-East after the GBU drop. You should be safe. After the 3 comms tower are down this triggers the SA-11 destruction anyway. For Red side, same story... just change you flight vector on the final comms tower to run parallel with the SA-11. You know the rest....
  16. It's not like TOW. Needs to impact directly. Looks a bit like AT-3 Sagger.
  17. LMAO at guys saying lag and Frames..
  18. 2 posts above...
  19. /drugs
  20. Distemper is 'game over' for dogs and any other wild animal that gets it. Even if they survive they are forever screwed up. Permanent pain most of the time after it. :(
  21. Thanks. I had noticed these files and was guessing them. But wasn't sure. Anyway, I reduced amplitude of the file using audacity and now I don't have to scream and shout at my Squad buddies if I go over M1.5. :D
  22. This one actually sounds very like when you shutoff the APU on the DCS: A-10C.
  23. Just wondering where the soundfile for the cockpit wind is, also.
