  1. Because the F-15C like all radars have an effective range, depending on the target type. Fighter sized targets will appear between ~35-45nm depending on prf used. Larger aircraft will appear further off. Setting to 160 merely sets the display to 160nm... not the actual range of the radar. Hope this helps. Also if you had ECM pods on the Su-27 these would display jamming.
  2. There's MiG-29S + "R-77" + TWS (somewhere between the patches).
  3. Version N36 of this mission will be in rotation for a time soon. Fighters moved up to airbases for shorter flight time. Version R36 will be the original long distance in reserve.
  4. Seems this was not any old pilot. If the text is correct it appears he had great skill. RIP.
  5. Well, lol, I can't get the right word remembered today... but I would say behind... as in... further away behind. Aim long...
  6. This^^ Basically the aiming point is calculated as if the Bomb continues down on its ballistic trajectory without dispensing sub-munitions. Which of course is not what happens... the bomb sub munitions are dispenses far off the ground (and back behind the aiming reticle) and then drop directly down. Current solution? Aim behind targets + takes practice or... go for a very steep, nose down, dive bomb, so that the reticle is close to the point under which the BLUs deploy.
  7. Can I make a request on behalf of the community that we are allowed the Ctrl+EEE prank once? Please? OK nevermind. :D:D
  8. @R/C Yak130: Dear Santa...
  9. I've watched a bunch of their stuff... and aside from the odd Russia StRonG type script, fair respect and balance was often shown towards the "foreign analogues".
  10. It always started paused, didn't it?
  11. I have no idea if it's written into the codes/files in terms of different Jammer effectiveness, but F-16C AI with that damn ALQ centerline Jammer pod are difficult opponents, BVR. Missiles just blow past, burn through range is also close.
  12. They're getting really stupid with these Glonass attempts. 3 years ago was it Another 3 of them ended up in the Sea somewhere?
  13. The best part of that joke is that it can be soundly argued that 'We' is simply another part of Greater France... and arguably right up to the end of the Plantagenets. Those wars were simply civil wars. Old Norman French fighting among themselves. :D:music_whistling:
  14. Should just add this thread to the F-22 suck thread that we already had. :D
  15. f-16.net is like the Westboro Baptist Church.
  16. Nearly ALL Backfires have blue flame like this when I see them on photos or videos.
  17. I love those types. The same types that screamed photoshop about the J-20. The very next few days right in this forum, an industrious chap presented us with the fence side video from the airfield. :D
  18. It breaks me heart to say this, but I would have suggested for anyone going into Competition Flights or events to swap back to the Old cockpit until the glare is sorted. Now I'll just jump on the stake so I can be burned at it for the suggestion. :helpsmilie:
  19. I know it's realistic... I'm just not sure if ED intended it to be that way. Personally in some of the missions we/I've flown I though it was a great idea. When you spawn in and see the 'PT' lit up you knew trouble was close. :D .... until some noob teamkilled it.
  20. Haven't checked here in a while, but it appears that Ghost Datalink Contacts still exist in MP play at least, after Enemy Aircraft unit is destroyed. Not sure if a track is needed...
  21. Was is not that friendly ground radars DID come up in early patches, hence a bug, and NOW fixed in later versions?
  22. The way I see it, if I build my home Beowulf Cluster.... it's MY Beowulf Cluster. It's not China's if all the Mainboards were fabricated there.... it's not the US's either if all the CPU's are Intel, and it isn't Israel's if their Kiryat Plant designed it.... no... It's MY Beowulf. Why? Because I bloody well would have paid for it. ;)
  23. Interesting news... pity most of the posts that followed were.... not so interesting.
  24. Well, considering One of the team is in Minsk, Belarus do make sturdy tractors.
