From the manual perspective. and the photos of the cockpit. That answer appears to be No and No. Both items would be a much welcome thing in life. personly i reather have the RWR then the dispenser. But both would be ideal. At least the RWR would give me a chance to get out of the way of radar contact. But over all i am very happy what the aircraft has to offer. And it brings me back to my days when i was going to college to maintain aircraft. I spent alot of time there sitting in the UH-1H there. Jesse

As i look thought the manual there are several sections inside of it marked with a Yellow highlighter stating that it is "not implemented in DCS:UH-1H" For these yellow text area. I am courious if this is something that is not and never will be implemented. Or is this just something that is not Implimented at the current time, but will be implemented at a latter time. As there are a few of these items i would like to see work. Such as the light filters for the Fire, Low Rotor, Master Caution. along with the one for the caution panel at the center pedistal. So far i am finding alot of great info in the manual. quite a few of the buttons and knobs i reamber from our Army huey we had at school for run ups Jesse.

Yes you can edit the .lua file in order to use the toggle switches as switches. you can look here in the post i made how to edit it. Also keep a eye on your engine guages. they where nice enouf to install a fuel flow indicator. With this gauge you are able to tell how much fuel you are burning. and in turn know how long you can fly at the current power setting. Knowing how much time you have at the curret power setting you can look at your speed and figure out the distance you can fly. At least this works out well for me to figure out if i have enouf fuel to make the return trip home, or to start worring about deverting to another airfield to land. Jesse.

Being that the AH-1 that was announced in the video was the AH-1G which would be the first cobra made. At that time frame the only weapons was rockets and tow missles at best, but most likly two sets of rocket pods instead of rockets and Tow. also some of the turrets housed two guns. a gernade launcher and mini gun. there are some really neat videos on youtube of the AH-1G of vietname era. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMH1zgQpru0 edited for more info, video link Jesse

on the right consel. there is a weapons toggle switch. it is just aft of the ejection seat switches. Jesse

I beleave what he read in the manual was the "Emergency Brake" depending where a person is from that is some times taken as the "parking brake". If i am reambering correctly the "Emergency Brake" handle is located by the left knee and it is pulled to switch from nomal brake hydralic pressure to the other system hydralic pressure to supply pressure to the brake. Pg 146 of the manual. but it dose not go into detale of how it all works Jesse.

That would be me that told you to deleat the keyboard.LUA file. I had the same issue. When using the \ key to open up the radio menu. Selecting the rearm from this location would give you the "copy" for the rearm and then a little while latter it would say "Rearming compleate" After looking at the pylons there where no weapons. Because my keyboard.lua file was never updated i couldnt use the Left Alt + ' key to bring up the reload box. After deleating the keyboard.lua file i whent into single player and selected the helicopter to reload a new "keyboard.lua" file. After having done this i whent back into multiplayer and used the (Left Alt + ') key and this opened the reloading box from this point this is the only way i was able to reload weapons on the KA-50. I personly would like to see the HMS more over to the right side of the screen or left. depending on which eye it is used in order to target the ground. I tend to view the right side of the screen as the right eye and vice versa. I dont think the HMS is draped over both eyes in such a way that it is in focus overlaying each view point of each eye. Sadly when i tryed to use Target with the update of Blackshark 2 i had lag issues. Sadly with the lag issues of the game to the target software. the target software would not always reconise that i had tossed a toggle switche or push a button, In them cases the switch would never get reconised in the game. This became a major annoyance and drawback as what i do with the joystick would not go into the game. By using the LUA files with in the game to program the toggle switches you due two things. Number 1, Removed the lag issue from the target software where it wouldnt reconize switches being fliped from the throtal to the game. And number 2 when setting up the LUA file for each aircraft you no longer had to alt tab out of the game to switch the target software program for each aircraft as it was already configured in the .LUA file. So from this i can switch from the A10, Blackshark, and P51 with out having to alt tab from multiplayer to switch programs on the target software. To me this is a Win win situation all the way around. Jesse.

sure. First you will want to take and assinge all your toggle keys you want to operate within black shark inside the game profile. For istance. one toggle key i have is to turn the laser from off to standby. Find the laser standby switch in the key confige in the game. select it and then flip the toggle swithc. and the game should say such and such switch for the laser standby. And do this for all the toggle switches you want to have in black shark. Then find your Throttle - Hotas Warthog.lua file in the C: drive/user/(username)/Savedgames/DCSBlackShark2/Config/Input/KA-50/Joystick. Open that up with notpad++. After you have opened up the Notepad++ do a search for the laser standby By defult it should say {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN25"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneLaserRangerOnOff, name = "Laser standby On/Off switch", category = "Ins Targeting Mode Controls Panel PVR"}, then by adding The Red text This will alow the same comand to happen when you flip the toggle switch back. {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN25"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneLaserRangerOnOff, up = iCommandPlaneLaserRangerOnOff, name = "Laser standby On/Off switch", category = "Ins Targeting Mode Controls Panel PVR"}, Jesse

YOu are able to edit the LUA file in order to use the Toggle switches in blackshark with the warthog. and it works great. Just reamber to back up your controler profile after you make it. Jesse

I thought i reamber using the ECM pod to some sucess in mutiplayer with the A-10c and the SA-8 sam system. I do reamber flying the mission "The Dam" in which flying closer to the hill full of sams, when the SA-8 whent from search to track with the lock tone i was able to engage the ECM and the lock/track tone whent away. At least that is my experence if i reamber correctly.

sorry i havnt been on the PC to much. i hope everything is working out well for you skull leader. Because that the profile was made from a earlier date then what the WEP was put into the game, one has to open up the .LUA file now and manual place the line in for the WEP in order to assinge it to a joystick comand. If some one has a easer way of doing it then i am also all ears to hear it. Jesse.

If you dont advoid them at one point your going to fly thought some trees and there will be a house on the otherside. and that will end your trip really quick Jesse

Who knows if they plan on making a profile for the warthog. I know i plan on making my own profile set up for the Warthog, Just not sure how i plan on doing the throtal. i may end up using the Mic switch forward and back as the twist grip throtal. And after i get it set up decent i am sure i will post it on the user forms the same as the P-51 profile me and sunshine made. Jesse.

I know i am deffently looking forward to this sim. I have to agree. dispite it not coming out in this year. I am still very much excited to fly it when it is avaliable. On top of that the more time the sim is in the hands of the developers the more time they have to polish it befor the beta. I know i cant wait to start spinning around and crashing on the tarmac. I would offer assistance to edit the .lua file.

I tryed to use the target software. personly i found it was a pain. Then after being set up some times there is a lag from when you flip the switch to when the sim reconizes it. Personly i found it easer to set the switches up in the LUA file for the controler. works 100% of the time. no lag when the flip the switches and no messing around with the target software to get the switches configured from on and off from flipping up and down. send me a PM and i will try and get a good example set up for you.
