Why is this not the case with the F/A-18? In that aircraft if you have empty external fuel tanks and you go and refuel. The external tanks get refueled at the same rate as the aircraft. In the case of the F/A18 its not magically 0lbs to the 900 lbs of fuel but gradually increases as the aircraft is refueled.

Using stable version 2.5.5 I have found that when refueling the F-16 with empty external tanks that the external takes do not get refiled. After refueling is complete the internal tanks of the aircraft are refueled while the Center and wing tanks are bone dry I view this as a possible bug because when refueling the FA-18, the external tanks get refueled along with the aircraft to the full capacity I am unsure if this is the same in the open beta as I do not have that installed. Thanks Jesse.

Your airplane is transferring the fuel from the three external tanks into the aircraft main tanks. When you refuel/rearm you first do the fueling process first and rearm second. You had 4000 lbs of fuel when you defueled the aircraft. When you added the external tanks you added more total fuel to the aircraft. Once you took off the valve open to move fuel from the drop tanks to the aircraft

I have been flying the Harrier more and more as of late. As much as I enjoy flying the harrier, I find the Tpod to be a bit clunky at the moment. Are there any HOTAS controls on the harrier to make the use of the Tpod more efficient. So far the only control I know of is using the TDC to slew the Pod. Are there any HOTAS controls for selecting the zoom level, NF or WF, BH or WH, Point target or area target? I seem to be getting my self more and more lost and not paying attation to my surrounding areas by needing to zoom into the screen and pressing the select buttons next to the screen to operate the pod. Is there something I am missing, or is the Tpod just that clunky to use with the harrier??

I use Right ctrl+ pause/break key and that will show a FPS counter in the top left corner

As other people have had issues with micro stutters inside DCS along with track IR Connecting and disconnecting messages. I have also had this same issue, my issue was not always there. Some days it would have stutters and other days it was smooth I have noticed on the days that my track IR would connect/disconnect and have micro stutters inside DCS. having FPS of 60 and then dropping down to 18 or so for a second and then back up. I have noticed when ever I started to have this stutter in DCS that inside my device manager is always refreshing also causing this stutter. I have finally tracked down that was causing my constant refreshing inside the device manager and DCS and it was my network adapter. After disabling the network adaptor I no longer had any issues with the stutter. After reactivating it the stutters came back along with the refresh of the Device Manager. Having the network adaptor disabled will not bond well with online play. So diving deeper I have found that the issue is found in my network settings. Going inside the advanced sharing settings, "turning off network discovery" and "turn off fie and printer sharing" has solved my issues. In Short, if disabling your network adaptor stops your micro stutters and track IR connect/disconnect. Check your Advanced sharing settings and insure that they are "turn off network discovery" and "turned off file printer sharing"

So far my biggest issue with the FLIR for the hud is that the over lay dose not match the objects. Its a real pain in the butt to dive down to attack a target and after you release your ordnance they fall short. or to the side all because nothing lines up. In all honestly its pretty useless. Greatest feature of the aircraft is useless because there is no way to get the over lay to match what is in the hud. Apparently there is a alignment you have to preform in the UFC on the real aircraft. Sadly you don't get that option in the game. It really would be nice if razbam did a fix to at least have it overlay properly so it is useable. this is my biggest complaint of the aircraft for night missions.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone is having issues using the TDC Axis controls with the warthog mini stick and getting it to work in the Harrier. The issue I am having is that when ever I use the Mini stick for the TDC it will some times move and most of the time not. Moving in the vertical plane is easer then the horizontal. in most cases for me to move horizontally I have to move vertically at the same time. Is this just the case with the warthog mini stick, or is it just how I have it set up. So far this is the most annoying thing for me and this aircraft. It makes it almost imposable for me to use the TGP or any other item that requires the use of the mini stick Any tips or tricks would help, as it is driving me mad. Thanks Jesse.

It seems as soon as the nav was ready it crashed to desk top. Never mind. it wount let me upload the new one as it says its already been uploaded. To where I have no idea. I am hopping all this information will help. Its not as fun to play when you cant use the D/L -
[INVESTIGATING]Switching Datalink on caused CTD
JesseJames38 replied to Mandellorian's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello. I also have been having this issue. I have been crashing to desk stop as soon as I attempt to turn on the D/L in the FA 18 on a multiplayer server. After I have ran the dcs repair I still had the crash happen. Jesse. Georgia Reign - RETALIATION v1.0.06-20191215-222956.trk Georgia Reign - RETALIATION v1.0.06-20191215-221709.trk -
I could very easily see my self being a RIO personal in the back of some ones F-14, there would still be plenty of switches and buttons for me to mess with to operate the radar and other electronic equipment. Also if the pilot needs a bathroom brake I could fly around a bit tell he gets back to take over his job. I am just wondering how the flight controls will work for multi crew aircraft and how it will be set up to hand over controls from pilot/copilot or RIO officer.

DCS: P-40F Kittyhawk at IWM VE Day Anniversary Air Show
JesseJames38 replied to Ells228's topic in Community News
I am pretty excited about all the content they are releasing. looking forward to the helicopter. But to be honest I was hoping for more information on the DCS: P-40 being that was the main title of the post. I welcome all the new info on the other projects but I am really wondering when the release of this aircraft is project as I really like to get my hands on it. Jesse -
I enjoy all these interesting videos and information. the one thing I am curious about in the news letter there is a guage at the bottom left that I usly see a altimter located at on all the other P-47 pits. Althought the one in the news letter looks like something else. or a very strange altimeter then what I have ever seen. It is the gauge just above the placard "warning: do not open cowl flaps above 225 IAS. http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=113685&d=1425053400 But I recommend this sight that really likes to look at cockpits of aircraft as its a nice 3d set up from the pilots seat that you can scroll around to look at things http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/virtualtour/cockpits.asp Jesse

Was browsing the DCS roadmap (unofficial) form and running thought the different modules under the 2015 heading I seen UH-1H V2.0 (in progress) I am curious dose anyone have any idea what this is about? First assumption was for DCS world 2.0, But now I am wondering if they plan on adding more content/ improvements. Perhaps more of a reference tords multi people inside the same aircraft in multiplayer. Any have any information about this? Jesse

Well I have tried doing a ILS landing again and it seemed to be working as attended. so either I didn't do something right the first time. or there was a bug and some how got fixed between the two updates. but all is good Thanks
-
Thanks Dejjvid I am interested in hearing what happens. I will then learn if I am the issue or not :)

I am not sure if this is a Bug or not. It has been a while since I have used the ILS system in the A10. maybe about 6 months to a year ago. Previous I was able to use the ILS system and get a localizer bar being accurate at around 10 miles or so. with the glide slope. I figured since I haven't practiced using it much as of late I would fire it up and give it a dry run. So today while landing at Batumi. Setting up the ILS few and having everything set. the localizer was drifting about half way to the right if I was on the right side of the airfield and if I moved to the left side of the airfield it would drift half way to the left. and the glide slope would still have the red flag. some where around 5 miles I think the glide slope indicator flag disappeared but no bar yet. not worried but still the localizer seemed to be messed up even when lined up to the runway. by the time I hit the 2 mile mark the localizer snaps to the center and comes to life. and then I finally find the right elevation for the glide slope. So my question is this. should I be able to get a accurate reading farther out then 2 miles for the localizer. or is this some new bug that may have cropped up and no one really noticed. Not sure about others, But on a foggy night trying to land I like to have a little more then 2 miles to line up for touch down Thanks Jesse happy flying.

huey toggle switch help needed
JesseJames38 replied to Newspeedy's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Your command line should look like this. Its easer if you take your switches and go inside the game and select what switches do what in the controller options first. then using notpad++ go into the lua document and edit the line of code {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN20"}, }, down = 3016, up = 3016, cockpit_device_id = 3, value_down = 0, value_up = 1, name = "Governor Auto/Emer", category = "Pedestal"}, hope this helps. Jesse -
Mostly what I am looking for is the Nav light fixed. the Anti Colition light fixed and then all the reostates in the cockpit for the cockpit lights fixed. along with the new added features. Perhaps one day there will be a RWR to. as one can hope Jesse

ADF feq are also listed in the mission editor. I took and make a screen capture of all the ADF feq in the mission editor. sadly some of the screen captures didn't turn out so well as some of the feq are hard to read. I may have to go back in latter and look at the Lat and Long and record the numbers. Hope this helps Jesse

Stupid question. I know the chip detector lights work. but the real question is. are chips simulated in the Huey. For istance. say if the gear box area gets shot up. dose it trigger like a random occurance that chips will be let lose in the gear box and then a random set time tell the light comes on. and then say a random set time of when the gear box fails based on how much time it took for the chip detector light comes on?? After all if there are no chips simulated for the chip detectors. then the only time the light will illuminate is when you push the test button Jesse

I have not have a issue so far with the repair not fixing the airspeed indicator or the DC generator, what I do have a issue with is the pilot side Additude gauge. After the helicopter is fixed you can not center and reset the attitude gauge. Not only that it also seems more floppy after it has been repaired floating far right or far left or far up or far down and not keeping with the degrees of the huey when pitching or banking. It would be nice if we had a "cage" knob like the co-pilot side dose. Jesse.
