  1. In DCS the keyboard matters less with the ability to mouse click the virtual cockpit, I won't go back to TIR now I have the Oculus.
  2. Is this the case if you freely share i.e. make a freeware module too?
  3. The rift must be the primary monitor to use click pit.
  4. No point screaming at developers to build modules, no matter how illogical an apparent exclusion is, they will build what they can when they can when they want to, DCS is a sandbox, build your own, gather your own data, do your own research, put your own time in and get what you want.
  5. Don't blame me for it, the He-111 has been in the discussion from page 1 long before I contributed. Fine, but the whole point is this stunt is not something that has taken any prolonged period of practice, somebody just thought 'I wonder if I can do this' then did it and made a video, to me that suggests it is so easy to do it is almost routine. Anyway, enough of this, I just can't believe I'm apparently the weirdo for not believing an He-111 can do this.
  6. it's quite simple, in real life He-111's would be leaving smoking holes every time they attempt low level aerobatics from take off, but Tarquin the internet pilot is rolling and looping his in game He-111 from take off with casual abandon. What is not logical is the assumption that an He-111 probably could do low level aerobatics from take off because a computer game says so.
  7. Kurfurst has been around a while. Small single engine aircraft in capable hands it's not unheard of. Bob Hoover again....check from 3:30 But still nobody seems to have ever linked a looping manoeuvre into the sequence, the likelihood of having enough energy from take off is remote.
  8. Why do the Russians still use the red star insignia? isn't it a political insignia rather than a national one?
  9. it's fashionably controversial to dislike the Spit.
  10. I obviously can't speak for the deceased pilot but I imagine he was there to pioneer something he thought would benefit us in the future, so yes, keep it going if possible and dedicate his memory.....hopefully the only one.
  11. combined with the crash in Wichita it's been a bad week for aviation.
  12. Oh crap, so details of casualties are in now, I'm surprised to hear of one still alive, not sure what crew escape system was in place on the craft but it didn't look like something readily escapable, sad news.
  13. I hope so, personally I would love to see Russian and Japanese planes make their way in.
  14. Nice to meet you too, whoever you are. Good day!
  15. This kind of sums up my impression of your aviation knowledge, this is becoming futile, like telling a BOS dev that unlocks are a bad idea.
  16. in a Rockwell commander flown by Bob Hoover yes. and don't get all pissy about it.
  17. Won't because it can't
  18. Sure, from page 3, but it's only when I speak it gets 'confusing'
  19. The He-111 is not exclusively my contribution to this topic, I am discussing on the basis of it's prior inclusion, forgive me if I take in to account the topic as a whole rather than one or two post prior in my discussions.
  20. it has not been proved that a He-111 can do a full low level aerobatic routine from take off, what are you talking about?
  21. Which one is what? present me with a contradiction.
  22. I have already decided that a low level aerobatic routine is not possible from take off in a He-111 (I struggle to understand why this idea is met with doubt), I base my claim that the FM in question is wrong because it has been demonstrated it can be done 'routinely' by amateurs in said FM.
  23. A statement of the obvious, nobody made any claim to the contrary. I'm not aware of any manouvers that work on an 8 out of 10 basis, they either work or they don't, the success of which is determined by the execution, no pilot should attempt it unless confident of complete success.
  24. There has been a He-111 contamination.
  25. Maybe in your world it means that, but what I am actually saying is that if the sim in question is making a low level full aerobatic routine in a medium bomber so easy that an internet pilot can do it any time they like yet real world test pilots wouldn't attempt it because the odds are almost certain death then the FM is wrong.
