  1. I guess it was predictable that K would be going down this sort of road, time to let go old boy, with or without Hispano stoppages the Nazis lost WWII and no matter how hard you try to influence flight simulation games it won't change history.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if the culprit was a familiar face on flight sim forums.
  3. Sounds about right, I don't think the Hispano differed wildly from any other wing mounted armament.
  4. How about fusing it neatly into an evil Spitfire wielding Squadron leader
  5. As a frequent Stella drinker I often feel shame :drunk:, I am beginning to atone for my sins and aquiring a taste for ales :drink:.
  6. I agree with jib, finger tracking will be a real pain, a mouse with sticky cursor would be much less frustrating and would also work better with multi position and rotary switches using L/R mouse button and wheel.
  7. No, that's what the lenses in the rift are for, nobody could focus on just a screen inches from the eyeballs.
  8. Why? switches in a cockpit are labelled.
  9. 45° Field of view, nowhere near as good as oculus.
  10. Yeah the FPS games make me a bit ill after a while, all that fast paced running around really needs 6dof and a treadmill.
  11. On a monitor yes, what isn't well illustrated is the 3d depth that the oculus gives, the effect is so immersive that some lack of resolution is easy to live with, it's hard to describe but even in my DK it is possible to get so immersed you don't even notice the screen door effect and at worst if feels like having slightly blurred vision.
  12. you mean 640×800 per eye, the oculus the oculus developer kit has a screen of 1280x800. The consumer version will be HD or better.
  13. saving the best till last obviously, but boy am I glad to see a DCS level jug coming soon.
  14. I thought that was the same idea.
  15. Nope, outerra is no problem for my g940
  16. Sim developers need to talk to the developers of Outerra, their oculus support is spot on perfection, the scale is perfect, near and far is perfect, many purpose made oculus demos still make my eyes feel a tiny bit strained but outerra simply feels like I put on a pair of ski goggles.
  17. That makes some sense.
  18. I tried separation(shifteye) at .032 with the idea that the decimal figures were millimetres and therefore half my IPD, made sense to me and seems I was on the right lines, the sooner ED get native OR support the better, this is all a bit of a palaver for not a hugely satisfying result.
  19. Yeah but the .lua file needs to have the separation set correctly and I think this will vary depending on user, so far I have read nothing that intuitively explains that separation.
  20. Yes, some more info on setting this up would be great, I'm finding it really difficult to get satisfying results compounded with the fact that I can't tweak things in real time.
  21. Wait.....what? how? how can I use stereo view? how do I turn it on?
  22. No you are correct, he does say it, as you said there is probably a drag issue, the big domed spinner o late model 109's makes for a nice streamlined shape, but I only said there is an 'overall' similarity, much like one model of 109 was probably faster than another but overall similar, certainly the handling qualities must be largely the same.
  23. Noise is the single biggest difference I believe, many pilots reported an overall similarity in performance, I can believe it, how much difference can it be when you just replace one big V12 with another of similar power and weight.
  24. From reading other forums it seems all that matters are collideable trees and multiple cameras.........ironically actually simulating the aircraft accurately seems to feature low on the list.
