  1. I wonder if thread will be obsolete when HTC Vive comes out this year. =P
  2. I would be very happy indeed if this were addressed in DCS: World 2.
  3. Ahhh home sweet home. Now all I need is the bottom of the clouds lit up by the strip, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
  4. It is compatible now. Just download A-10C from DCS:World Module Manager and use your Activation key
  5. Any and all deadlines are MOST subject to change. :megalol:
  6. Yeah, with everyone's track record, I wouldn't hold your breath for any releases in 2015, let alone TWO. :music_whistling:
  7. NSFW. I think this ^ picture creeped out like, 5 co-workers. lol EDIT: Why does everyone think it's gunna be a tomcat? Was it just that blurry picture he used in one of his updates or is it a more solid educated guess than that?
  8. This is nitpicking obviously, but hopefully they'll be able to scale up the new tower a bit more, it's way bigger than the old ones. I just kinda noticed on my way to work this morning, I didn't remember seeing the new tower in the video, but it's there, just a lot smaller. EDIT: Yes I have too much time on my hands =\
  9. lol. You're right, your hat doesn't. The video of an EDGE engine variant does however. While it may not be what we are getting in DCS, it's interesting non-the-less. Unlike your hat. (no offense, it's probably a nice hat.)
  10. It's based off the same engine, so it's interesting to see what can be done with it. Seems pretty relevant to a chit-chat discussion to me. :music_whistling:
  11. Yeah I'm curious about that also. DX9 is really limited to ~500 draw calls, while DX11 is ~60,000?!? That's quite the jump.
  12. The Speedway is adjacent to Nellis, it's where every plane will be going low and slow, I would think that it's one of the more dominant features of NTTR. I mean it's there, which is awesome, so I'm not really complaining, but they already modeled the track, so it would have to be a fix or a tweak like you said.
  13. In this case, the car was already tested on the highway. :music_whistling:
  14. +1 :smilewink: Did anyone on this thread actually read about the issue? "It turns out that this is a symptom of memory segmentation, as the card splits the 4GB into a 3.5GB high-priority segment and a 512MB low-priority segment. Yes, the card has access to a full 4GB of RAM. It remains to be seen if this technique causes any notable performance detriment, but from what we've seen so far, it does not." What is the problem?? The card performs JUST AS GOOD as every test showed when it was released. People are cancelling their orders because of how they partitioned the memory? It's still one of the best bang for your buck cards on the market. Oh well your loss.
  15. Copy that. I really hope you're getting to enjoy it. It looks like such a game changer.... :music_whistling: I wonder if ED is going to take advantage of procedural generation. From some of the videos, it's looks as if there is a lot more solid objects littering the ground (instead of just grass like in current engine) I've been seeing procedural generation used in so many things lately. From No Man's Sky to Elite Dangerous to Outerra. I hope it's something ED can take advantage of at some point, just for that extra detail that can't be "hand placed."
  16. Sith, is 2.0 only with internal testers atm? Or are you guys already testing the alpha?
  17. Outerra clouds have been added. (alpha) http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=3151.0
  18. Wow. This seems incredibly huge! I know the outskirts of the map wont be as detailed, but it's a lot bigger than I expected originally. As far as the last picture goes, I'm assuming the area covered by roads is the only part of the map that will be covered by features. (Buildings, roads, towns, etc.)

    STEAM stream

I heard about this. I wasn't sure exactly what it was though. The game "runs" on your gaming PC, but streams to another device that you can play it on? For example, Could I hook my joystick up to a laptop and play from that while it "runs" on my main PC?
  20. "The Homeworld Remastered Collection will collect both of Relic's acclaimed space-based RTS games, in both remastered and original form. This new version has been polished up by Gearbox, who bought the Homeworld licence from the sinking THQ. It adds high-res textures, a remastered score and new voice recording from the original cast." Hopefully it'll be in there ;)
  21. Changed or remastered? Two different things. I heard they worked with a lot of the original people. Do you know this for sure?
  22. I had a similar issue with this the other day. I always wait for a full ground INS align, but when I tried to drop a GBU 38, it wouldn't release. I checked the DSMS, and sure enough, they were white, not green. (I ended up landing, re-arming, re-loading everything on the "LOAD" page, going back up, and they worked. Strange.
  23. Sorry to revive this thread, but I've just been flying the P-51 as of late, and had a question. I know the high blower doesn't kick on until a certain altitude, but I find myself almost pegging the throttle around 11,000 feet just to get 40" manifold pressure before it actually kicks in, then when it does, my manifold spikes to 61" briefly until I lower it back down to 46". Is that normal? Also, at about 23,000 ft. Running the engine at 2400 rpm has my throttle almost pegged again just to keep it at 35"-40" manifold pressure. Also normal?
