I’ve got to try fog up my canopy next time I fly DCS, I wonder how best to do it?

That explains it, I’m only using the default liveries, that’s why I’ve never had issues with the kneeboard showing.

Are you sure dude? I have never made a lua edit and I can see and scroll all the pages of the kneeboard on the pilot leg.

He must have done that, they’ve definitely been tweaking things because they’ve made it worse

This, I don’t know why you’d need to go editing .lua files.

Here’s the steps… Eject the tape, click on the label (the text will change) , put the tape back in, tell jester to start recording = music

I’ve noticed the textures taking longer to load in since the last DCS update, not as long as you’re reporting though, also for me its on any map with any module, I think it’s a core DCS thing.

You have to hold M then click on the switch, dial etc

Have you got any mods installed? Even mods completely unrelated to the module can cause dramas, it’s a DCS thing.

Of course, you just need to set the control bindings up

I agree with you this is the best release for DCS since the tomcat! just a few points to what you said 1. This is correct to the real jet, check out this excellent video by Diesel Thunder, he’s working on a team getting a Phantom back in the air so he knows his stuff. 2. If you go into special options and turn off mouse interaction it’s more responsive, I think the delay has something to do with having to wait for the mouse to time out.

What makes you think they’re not doing both? It’s possible for a studio to do more than one thing at a time.

I think the centre tank also prevents you from firing the forward pair of sparrows, you have to dump it before you can use them.

The OP is certainly living up to his name . He discussed that he wishes we’d got the DTC instead of a pilot model, one does not preclude the other, we will have both in time, the DTC is being developed and will come to all modules, no need for such sarcasm.

I got the phantom on release day, haven’t seen any bugs as of yet, very happy with my purchase, it’s been one of the best releases for DCS. OP mentions about the viper being more mature…. Go look at the bug section in the F16 sub forum.

Check which version of sidewinder you’re using, some of them can’t uncage. I can’t remember which off the top of my head.

In the jester wheel, the record command will play the music tape, took me ages to figure it out

What was your altitude? Radio signals need line of sight, was the transmitter masked my mountains?

No issues here. For me it runs better than the AH-64, performance feels the same as the tomcat for me.
