2.9.6 is not remmebering some of my settings options
Q3ark replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in General Bugs
Same here, also mirrors keep defaulting to off, it’s not remembering the setting either. -
So you want heatblur to modify jester because you haven’t bothered to assign two autopilot switches to your HOTAS?
-
Having an AoA indexer and not using it seems like having a power drill and opting to use a hand cranked one, don’t know why you wouldn’t use it unless it was unserviceable for some reason.
-
Airspeed is of no use to you on the landing phase, the F4 should be flown by AOA on landing like a navy aircraft at the boat. AOA doesn’t care about aircraft weight, if you fly the correct AOA you’ll always be at the appropriate airspeed for your weight.

The horse has been beaten so much it’s just red paste at this point

work in progress Any word on a Data Transfer Cartridge?
Q3ark replied to Steel Jaw's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Haha good one, that was hilarious. -
[Bug]Auto-throttle disengaged warning light not illuminating.
Q3ark replied to JupiterJoe's topic in Bugs and Problems
Fair enough, I’ve never read the NATOPS, I’m one of those men that don’t read instructions -
[Bug]Auto-throttle disengaged warning light not illuminating.
Q3ark replied to JupiterJoe's topic in Bugs and Problems
AFAIK the light will only illuminate if the system disengages the auto throttle. If it’s done by the pilot either with the switch or by taking over the throttle it doesn’t come on. It’s to warn of an uncommanded disengagement. -
not a bug INS alignment stops when throttling up.
Q3ark replied to Lookiss's topic in Bugs and Problems
You shouldn’t do anything that may move the jet when aligning the INS, that goes for rearming too. -
I’m glad they’re not pushing out bad patches just to hit a deadline. But, it might be a good idea to hire a decent project manager to run this stuff, it’s making them look like a bunch of amateurs.

They’re going to need a track replay to fault find, it’s impossible to understand what’s happening at a technical level from a written description on the forum.

Dude the F4 was built before bitching betty was a thing
-
The OP says he did it for real dude, he has no dramas with lobbing JDAM’s at people from the safety of an aircraft at altitude but don’t swear while you’re doing it. (now I’m out)
-
Ok I’m out, you can’t have reasonable conversations with fundamentalists.

I am absolutely speechless at the level of over reaction shown here, why should they change it just because one person demands it? I’m happy with the language shown. Don’t go throwing your service record around dude, we’ve all served.

I don’t think that’s the case. It was my own mission file on the Syria map, there were only two aircraft both F4’s neither had jamming pods and an SA2 site about 60 miles away. I’ll do some more testing, see if I can spot a pattern.
-
Are you guys modeling radar interference? I saw odd vertical lines on the radar screen last couple of times i flew the F4. The screenshot below is from the last flight, only radar sources up were my buddy in another F4 and a flat face radar from an SA2 site about 60 NM away.

It’s basically a game of warmer colder with the range indicator, if it’s counting down you know you’re roughly heading towards them. I always forget the 63 channel separation, the easiest way for me to remember is 69 for me and 6 for the other guy.
-
Can you post link to that fix please?
-
Screwing around with your system date is not a fix.
-
VLC media player is great for converting files if anyone need some software
-
It would be interesting to see if this is possible, I’m assuming not because it’s a 3D object in the cockpit and not a display though, my assumptions are often wrong .
