  1. What are you lot going on about? The sounds are screwed up because (below) people getting irate as hell around these message boards lately.
  2. Fuel volume would change with temperature, but the mass shouldn’t change I think. If I have 50% fuel and it gets hot the fuel will expand and take up more space in the tanks, but the mass will remain the same, I won’t all of a sudden have less or more fuel.
  3. I did a quick test today, everything seems fine now. Hot start hornet on the Syria map, no other units. Laser arm didn’t crash the sim and was able to launch two laser mavs and drop four gbu 12’s no dramas .
  4. Are they planning a hotfix or we talking about the next full patch in about 5-6 weeks?
  5. F14 all the way dude Its feature complete, stable, safe to learn because nothings going to change on you.
  6. Welcome to DCS, it’s been that way for years, it’s much worse now though with the bigger wait between patches.
  7. If you disable the launcher it will stop messing with the easy communication and mirror on/off settings
  8. I’ve read accounts of pilots saying that the F4 cockpit was very loud and uncomfortable when compared to other aircraft of the time, it is a pain in the sim when you can’t even hear the radio though.
  9. That would be good to know, in most modules I use middle mouse button to bring up the kneeboard, can’t do it in the tomcat.
  10. I’ll post a track next time I’m on DCS, so far it’s 100% repeatable
  11. Disabling the launcher solves the problem, not ideal but it’ll do until they fix it.
  12. Same issue here, arm laser on ATFLIR, immediate crash.
  13. Same here, also mirrors keep defaulting to off, it’s not remembering the setting either.
  14. So you want heatblur to modify jester because you haven’t bothered to assign two autopilot switches to your HOTAS?
  15. Having an AoA indexer and not using it seems like having a power drill and opting to use a hand cranked one, don’t know why you wouldn’t use it unless it was unserviceable for some reason.
  16. Airspeed is of no use to you on the landing phase, the F4 should be flown by AOA on landing like a navy aircraft at the boat. AOA doesn’t care about aircraft weight, if you fly the correct AOA you’ll always be at the appropriate airspeed for your weight.
  17. The horse has been beaten so much it’s just red paste at this point
  18. Haha good one, that was hilarious.
  19. Fair enough, I’ve never read the NATOPS, I’m one of those men that don’t read instructions
  20. AFAIK the light will only illuminate if the system disengages the auto throttle. If it’s done by the pilot either with the switch or by taking over the throttle it doesn’t come on. It’s to warn of an uncommanded disengagement.
  21. You shouldn’t do anything that may move the jet when aligning the INS, that goes for rearming too.
  22. I’m glad they’re not pushing out bad patches just to hit a deadline. But, it might be a good idea to hire a decent project manager to run this stuff, it’s making them look like a bunch of amateurs.
  23. They’re going to need a track replay to fault find, it’s impossible to understand what’s happening at a technical level from a written description on the forum.
  24. Dude the F4 was built before bitching betty was a thing
