Do I install the open beta within the 1.2.7 install root folder or have it in a separate folder as when i run the multiplayer it cannot locate the executable which indicates it needs the full game to run.
-
So that's why it wasn't updating, there was no link in the news article.

I click the update dcs world shortcut but it's not updating. It just launches the game and still shows as 1.2.7. What the....

These news pics look amazing. I'm really looking forward to the new rendering system and I hope it fixes my performance issues with DCS currently.

Hey Shein, Thanks for making this profile it works great. The only issue is that the speed break isn't incremental but it doesn't look like we can get that yet unless someone figures it out or the HUD software updates so we can get bands or something else. Great work anyway!

I've got my X-55 and I'm loving it. A solid stick for the price and it's replacing my X-52 PRO. I read your post Shein about the mouse nipple and mine doesn't move on the desktop either. I heard from someone else that if you assign mouse x and mouse y to the mouse nipple and load the profile it should work in-game.

I am getting the same issue, I also get no sound within the cockpit. Every other aircraft's sounds work perfectly.

No, its a beta which they are allowing customers to play. They could have kept it internal and not let us play early, but playing earlier also means more bugs for us consumers to experience. It being a beta also implies that if a customer finds a bug they CAN submit a bug report and let the developers become aware of the said bug. It is not obligatory but if you can help make the product better in quality and stability why the hell wouldn't you do it, it takes probably roughly about 5 minutes to 10 minutes to write up a bug report within a forum. Also you shouldn't really review a product when it's in beta form, that's like reviewing a hotel/restaurant when its still getting built or near completion.

How to gain more attention to DCS
Rykane replied to MemphisBelle's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
If you want good software for streaming, i highly recommended Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). You can get it here. It's free too  Once you've downloaded it and you've made an account of twitch.tv you should get an stream key, copy and paste that stream key into the stream key text field in the broadcast settings option in OBS. You should be setup now to stream. I'm not sure what the best encoding options/settings are so i would research online to see which ones are the best ones for your pc and your connection speed. Anyway, hope that helps some people with issues on streaming. It might cause slight performance degrade as a word of warning. -
Same here, i know its a feature which would be sort of pointless and a waste of resources but it helps with immersion i guess.

Ahhh, thank you. I will try this out once i get the chance. Thanks very much.

I'm getting this problem too. Anyone have a fix for this?

Black Shark 2 Collective Problems (X-52 PRO)
Rykane replied to Rykane's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thanks Goltred, I will try it out later tonight. -
Hey guys, i recently had problems with some profiles with DCS and uninstalled my previous drivers for the x-52 pro and installed the latest drivers thinking that was the problem (It was not). I installed the latest driver and was getting constant crashing of the profiler software and my pc was crashing after control+alt+delete, my mouse would then stutter and cause my a beeping sound. I then uninstalled the new drivers and now have been plagued with another problem. I've installed a few different combinations of drivers and software for the x-52 pro but my MFD does not show any profile information except for the date, time and mode (1,2,3) nothing else. When i start my PC up it says within the MFD info "Saitek X-52 Pro blah blah" but once i've loaded up my OS it has no profile information even with the profiler running with a profile enabled. Any help with these issues would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

Nice, haha. I think the Russians expected their pilots to snap the tails off often so that it can be operated within these conditions.

Black Shark 2 Collective Problems (X-52 PRO)
Rykane replied to Rykane's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I seem to have fixed the problem above by restarting my computer. I also have managed to fix the oscillating collective issues. It turns out the throttle in the profile i was using had the NUM+ and NUM- buttons assigned the throttle + and throttle -, in-game the collective under keyboard was set to collective NUM+ and NUM- so i cleared these keys and it seems to be working now. Goltred, If you could provide your profile anyway i would be grateful and I do have TrackIR. -
Black Shark 2 Collective Problems (X-52 PRO)
Rykane replied to Rykane's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I've tested it out further by pressing right control + enter to open the axis panel. When i put my throttle to 0% the in-game collective goes upto 100% and sometimes moves in variation between different positions without any input. I checked the axis within the control panel while it was doing this and it was showing no movement in the device properties. I have a feeling its something to do in-game but I'm not sure what. I thought it might have been the x-52 pro black shark 1 profiles i was using as i cannot find any x-52 pro black shark 2 profiles anywhere. I don't think that is the problem. -
Before you jump the gun and buy a new CPU, first test all the settings and see if there is a problem with any of the settings within the game that are causing your FPS drop. I sometimes notice a FPS drop with my rig when looking at a large area with buildings/airports. You might have to tweak the graphics config file and see what you can do from there. If you've tried everything and it still drops in FPS then your option should be to probably get a new CPU.

It happens when i have my hands off the HOTAS and i don't have any rudder pedals so it's not that. -
Black Shark 2 Collective Problems (X-52 PRO)
Rykane replied to Rykane's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Yeah it is absolutely fine with other aircraft and i checked the device properties in the device manager and it doesn't move around like it does in-game. -
Hey, i hope you do realize that the intel XEON processor are designed for Workstations and servers and are not really used for gaming or desktop use. I think one thing that you could do is try lower all the settings to low and try each setting to medium then high and determine what the root of the problem is. I do however have a feeling that it is your CPU.
