I've also only flown the aircraft for a short time but from what I've flown, It's a beauty to fly. I think LN have done an amazing job for such a small team. Congrats guys! Go for a beer, it's on me. :drink:

Okay, thanks for the response Cobra.

I tried the LOD1 Mesh fix but it's pretty much done nothing to my FPS, it's still pretty bad. I'll try the full removal of the 3d mesh and see if it helps FPS at all. Also don't tell me that my CPU isn't good enough as it is, It's not my CPU. :P *EDIT* I tried the second fix and I get no FPS drop at all, so it seems that the second fix fixes the issue. I have a feeling if the first fix is going to be implemented it might not help a lot of people.

I honestly love how transparent and open the developers on this forum are. I'm so glad to be part of the DCS community. Glad you've found one of the problems Cobra! Say thank you to the whole LN team for their continuing great work.
-
It's a really neat feature I agree. I really would like to see it on all the other modules.
-
I tried restarting my PC but it hasn't seemed to fix anything for me so far.
-
Thank you very much Cobra! No apology needed.

I am so far extremely blown away by the detail of this module but I cannot enjoy or investigate it with the current frame rate issues which are not minor problems. It's like trying to fly a slideshow at the moment. It's not that we're not thankful for all the work LN have put in I think my appreciation shows by buying the module as support. I think most of us want to help report the issues to LN so that they can try and fix the issues ASAP and have a better experience for all future MIG-21 pilots.

Hey, I'm getting the same problem. My rig is in my signature. I was getting abysmal frames on the startup mission and I thought it might have been that so I put down the aircraft on a completely empty mission and still get really bad frame rate around 15-20 frames in cockpit. My drivers are 14.10 and My in-game settings are the following:

I went ahead and got it too. I think it's definitely going to be worth it. Every time I see a DCS module I'm compelled to get it, I think I need help :P

Future DCS performance ATI/Nvidea
Rykane replied to 159th_Falcon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I'm not sure where you are getting those ideas from? I've been playing DCS/Lock On for years, I'm just saying that the performance has always been unoptimised and it needs to be fixed. I still love DCS but if it doesn't get fixed with EDGE then I don't have any hope for it being fixed at all. -
Future DCS performance ATI/Nvidea
Rykane replied to 159th_Falcon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I've got an i7 3770k running @ 4.5GHz and a HD 7990 6GB running on a single 1080p monitor and I get really abysmal FPS sometimes. I'm pretty sure when I play online my average FPS is probably around 25. I'm so used to the horrible performance in DCS that I just play but I really do hate sub 60 frames in flight sims. There is no excuse for my rig not to be able to run DCS at around 60 frames or higher other than the engine being extremely unoptimised. I hope EDGE fixes these problems otherwise I have no hope for the DCS series. -
I'm getting the same issue. It was working fine last night. I seem to get this issue sometimes randomly, then it fixes itself. I really would love to know what causes this issue.

I'm hoping there's going to be wing flexing when performing high g's and wing condensation too, I really want that to be added in.

Rykane's X-55 Rhino A-10C Profile
Rykane replied to Rykane's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey, Sorry for the late reply. I will try and make some .diff.lua files but at the moment I'm quite busy. I'll try get them done ASAP. Thanks for your patience. -
Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?
Rykane replied to Chizh's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I use the MSI Radeon HD 7990 6GB (Dual GPU) -
I don't see why we can't have a female pilot voice in the game. Although, there are not that many females that play this game but that shouldn't stop the game having a choice.
-
Hey Ricardo, any chance you are able to do a F-15C skin similar to the A-10C Horse of war? Since the new AFM is out I've been flying it much more and the aircraft looks too clean :P
-
That picture has me literally rolling on the floor. That's probably the funniest DCS screenshot I've seen in a long time.
-
I think the issue has been resolved. I'm not sure what fixed it thought. Weird.

Hi Guys, I was playing on multiplayer and decided to change server and ever since I disconnected I cannot join most of the servers now. They just state "Connection Interrupted" as soon as I try to join them. I've tried a couple of servers and they work. I have no idea why this has just suddenly happened as I was playing yesterday without any problems. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Hi guys, I decided that I would make a DCS:A-10C profile for my Saitek X-55 Rhino. This profile is heavily based off of Shein's X-55 Rhino profile but I've added a few adjustments and a few more buttons. I will update the profile whenever I have time if I find something that needs fixed or if I find a better assignment for a key. *Note* I have assigned the speedbrake switch forward/aft to two different keys, If the speedbrake switch forward/aft buttons are assigned to the slider it will only act as a toggle which means you cannot enable or disable the speedbrakes incrementally. I have also included a set of .lua files for the 1.2.8 Open Beta. I found a bug where the previous set of .lua files where unable to load within the beta so I made another set. They are unreliable and have a tendency to not load correctly. If the 1.2.8 .lua files don't work try the other set of files. Anyone is able to edit this profile as they see fit, if you don't like where a button is assigned you can change it around. Don't forget to post it up on the forums for other people to try out too. Rykane's X-55 Rhino A-10C Profile HOTAS Layout Installation Instructions 1. Unzip/Unrar the file anywhere on your computer (preferably your desktop) 2. You will see the following: 3. Load up the game and goto Settings -> Controls -> Layer: A-10C Sim - All 4. Click on the keyboard category (click any keybind within the column) and click load profile and browse to where you extracted the files. Click OK. 5. Repeat step 4 for the x-55 throttle and stick. (In order to identify which column is which hover over the "Saitek Pro Flight X-55" heading in the column and it will show which device it is.) 6. Once step 4 and 5 are completed make sure the axis are assigned correctly. To do this click axis assign at the bottom of the page. Double check that the X, Y, RZ( If you have rudder pedals you can clear this axis assignment) and Throttle X and Y are set to the correct bindings. 7. Quit the game and go to the following path on your computer, C:\Users\Public\Documents\Mad Catz\X-55 Rhino 8. Copy the RykanesX55a10cprofile-v0.1.pr0 file into this directory and load up the X-55 Software 9. Right click the software icon in the task bar tray (notification area) and select RykanesX55a10cprofile 10. That should be you set, load up the game, happy flying and have fun moving mud! If you have any questions please PM me or reply to my thread within the forums. I will do my best to reply to you. Thanks. I'm also going to try and make profiles for all the other modules when I have time. Rykane's X-55 A-10C Profile - v0.1.zip

I'm having trouble getting this profile to work with the 1.2.8 Open Beta. I click load profile and it doesn't import the .LUA files. I have double checked and it just doesn't seem to import the files and leaves the category blank after import.
-
Thanks, this seemed to have worked. It's copying the files over now.
-
Okay thanks, Though as Bitmaster has said it seems to be downloading the full game and not going off my 1.2.7 install. Is there anyway for it to not have to download the full files and just update the files which are needing updated without having to download all of them again?
