  1. I can get there eventually yes but with no fuel left once I reach it and I can't call it flying out there. More like attempting to not fall
  2. Hi, I noticed that the AV8B struggles to fly even at 25k altitude with any kind of armament on. AOA goes through the roof, airframe is not stable, need 100% RPM to stay in the air. Surely that is a limitation of the model right? The real thing can fly well even above 25k? I am not saying it cannot go there or even higher just that the airframe is not stable there. Fencing-in / doing a G-warm at this altitude is a real challenge...you reach 12 AOA almost immediately upon starting your 90deg turn and have to battle to keep the aircraft stable.
  3. The 'in-headset' overlay of fpsVr indicates a number of things depending of settings (minimal to extended version) on it you will have frametime/fps AND GPU /CPU memory usage. The full version should look like this below...showing 4.2GB of VRAM usage and 11.5GB of RAM usage.
  4. but what is that vram usage?
  5. FpsVR will tell you how much RAM and VRAM you have and how much is used
  6. Nope but joystick Gremlin will allow you to set something like that. button on/off: press -> set virtual joystick button on (map that one to DCS zoom function) press again -> set virtual button off.
  7. Funny I have not noticed any reduced V FOV ... wonder if maybe I hold it higher or just not very sensitive to it. Wanted to ask you... how much of your 3090's 24gb memory is DCS using?
  8. To me the Aero brings me full cockpit clarity/sharpness (gr8 visual comfort) and soooo much better spotting ability in DCS. I can spot distant aircrafts way before guys on flat screens now. Was impossible before because of the tiny sweetspot which meant unless the distant aircraft was right where you were looking it would not even be displayed in the HMD. And your eyes spot movements better in peripheral vision. So yes I am keeping it. I am sure it is not worth the $$$$ but once u spend it it is hard to go back
  9. in the debug tool you have to click save. if you have a file .lua saved then the tool will not show up anymore. The white dot is not for IPD but for eye tracking. Not really used by anything else that workspace but hey might be later
  10. I believe this is vor VR-3 XR-3 headsets, not Aero
  11. Nobody has this problem so more likely not aero related but more to do with other software settings on your system. You'll probably figure it out quickly
  12. Try @supmua suggestion. I had that once or twice but never again. No idea why. Might just been about not launching steamvr separately (let vb do it)
  13. I found aero taking a lot of juice from the USB so had also pb with mouse when it was on the same USB cluster. Try to put it on a USB set where no other device is connected. I eventually used a separate PCIe usb card with sata power but should not be necessary
  14. Same here ... kneeboard builder fails to resize/move kneeboards in VR... they just vanish
  15. This has been discussed at length. Many people cannot cope visually with 60hz but if it does not bother you then it is a no brainer
  16. Edited the intitial post to reflect important experience/findings regarding wearing the headset properly on the face/head
  17. 66 ipd
  18. Aero works gr8 for me with DCS. I am also getting used to its ergonomics so becoming more comfortable with time
  19. Err... If you read the first post then you'll see that I received my Aero a week ago and created this post to provide my opinion on it. Will update my sig right away though!
  20. I am running on Win11 so it's not that
  21. My system is slightly below yours and i get about 60fps in SP and 30-60fps in MP depending on server. All DCS settings like with the G2 so pretty high (but no MSAA).
  22. valve index controllers. By far the best ones
  23. I use 2 base station v2 (1 bought from HTC and 1 from Valve). BTW, the Valve base station 2 is the exact same product except it is sold much cheaper and comes with a long power lead and a stand/wall support. The lead on the HTC marketed one is short and comes with no stand...
  24. mine stayed in Lantau for 2 or 3 days and then made it to my door in 24hrs
  25. Think is I don't think their is a code for the sysreq key. and the code for print screen won't work
