I fly Vr and the EHSD is near unreadable with the map on as the default gain on it is too high. Rather than lowering it every time I jump into the aircraft, is there a file in which the default gain parameter can be changed once and for all?

Question about the installation that confuses me: the OCXR_WMR_ACC ... the first post says to put the D3DCompiler_47.dll into a \D3DCompiler_47 directory. In the .zip though this dll is put into the main directory, not a \D3DCompiler_47 directory... Do we need to manually create this directory and place this dll in it or do we leave it as is in the .zip? Thks

Nope. In the AV8B tgt points can be labelled differently so that they can be used for JDAM ammunitions
-
Thks Lasko. Working gr8! no idea either if it is capable of anything else than FIX. Not sure if target points can be entered or not for eg. but at least it is working for waypoints now.

Here u go. This is a navaid file / NS 430 Export with just waypoint data navaids.dat
-
One suggestion... would be good to be able to import combatflite waypoint export (using the NS430 export function) directly into the waypoint editor
-
U mean fly using just the oculus controllers? Don't think possible. We pretty much all use HOTAS equipment for DCS (Warthog /Wingwing/Virpil etc) as modern military planes require a lot of buttons on the joystick. Don't think u can bind the axis to a vr controller. Happy to be proven wrong though

I set a night mission and tune up the gamma until stars and town lights are realistic
-
I only use vr so don’t have a straight comparison but I have few stars at night (often hard to know if it is another plane or some stars). And yes nvg brings more of them. However, you can easily use the GAMMA setting to make these brighter
-
Cool! I still needed to re-swap top/bottom on my side
-
Very much so. Personnally I never had any big distortion issues but none whatsoever now (and I am not blind!)

yours should be called hedy.lua

Brillant...will test in the morning. Thks a bunch. TESTED: It Works again!

Hi Lasko. Thks for that. For the AV8B we missed something. past the 1st wpt the N coord is not entered on other waypoint...i.e it types but is not in the right input config on the ODU... Think same ODU(2) issue... once the E/W coords are entered it switches automatically back to N/S so no need for ODU (2) there either
-
yep that is the one. do not need to press it anymore before entering East/West coord. It switches automatically
-
Thks @Lasko did you fix the AV8B input by any chance? UFC changes automatically from N coord to E coord input upon pressing <ent> key so no longer need to press on ODU....
-
It does yes. However, it has not been updated in a while and some aircrafts have received changes. The tool will not work with the Av8b anymore for example
-
had 4xmk82 +tpod+gun + aim9. I don't 'struggle' per se but the airframe becomes sluggish and G-warm becomes a circus act . Also better not lose speed as engine power becomes really weak. I was curious that it happened so early (25k) as cruise rc'd alt is often 40k so thought it might be model weakness vs real thing but looks like it is not.
-
Have you tried to turn down the gamme correction in DCS? It does not need to be as high as with other headsets
-
Would be good to have someone who flew these things for real to provide a sense of wether this is realistic or not
-
yep my point. Not sure that is realistic. Hence the thread ... it might be but feels wrong

What VR Settings are needed to read the AV8B MFD?
Brainfreeze replied to RolandLoop's topic in Virtual Reality
The EHSD map is always quite difficult to read in VR on the av8b. I tend to just turn the brightness knob down, sometimes also use the night setting. The map is just too bright on it -
Try fencing in / doing G-warm at this altitude: 90deg turn at 4G/10AOA (whichever comes first) then 90deg 4-6G/12-15AOA. Standard fencing in procedure. Easy at 15k, 25k+ is another story here

Super. Well done
